    I rarely have to vacuum my pool but this is by far the best and easiest way for an Intex EasySet Pool.
    1. Attach your vacuum attachment to the inside of the pool (the lower intake)
    2. Close both intake/outtakes to the pool.
    3. Detach the higher (left) outtake hose and point it away from your pool and house
    4. Open the lower intake
    5. Turn the pump on and start cleaning the floor of your pool.
    ** You will lose water. Replace with the same water source you originally used.
    Got a question just ask!

    Am I wrong or did you not show the most important part? How it connects to the inside. I guess my search continues on how to get a vacuum to work with this pool.

    Your pool looks great but Literally you showed us nothing, you TOLD what you did but did NOT show HOW you did it! I see an attached hose but not how you attached it. If your gonna do an instruction video you should really show instructions step by step. Just saying....

    Ok...if youre using this method to vacuum seeds grass clippings dirt etc off the bottom that has settled keep all hoses attached and put hose into outlet port the filter will catch all that stuff without recirculating back into pool... then rinse filter off and put back in or replace. IF it is green slime or algae i would do his method then add more water no need to run it through the filter if youre dumping it. Also these filters are good for only 14 days reply if you have questions ive had these pools for many years and have had zero issues with keeping them clean

    • @kurtsims

      Exactly! The filter cleans the water so no need to unhook the return hose. You need to redo this video. You will have others also wasting water, and going through unnecessary step of removing return hose.

      K S The cartridge filter does not adequately filter out the smaller particles such as rust and iron etc.And it will just pump back into your pool leaving the water hazy and cloudy. It’s the same as vacuuming to waste. If you have well water you need an RV water filter to filter out the imperfections in the water. It’s never as easy as the videos because it’s a trial and error Process based on your situation.

      There is not a sand filter in this pool system. A strainer basket won’t stop algae from returning back to the pool. That’s why it needs to be dumped.

      above ground pools can be a lot of work to keep clean. This small filter probably would clog quickly if he didn't bypass it to vacuum the pool. You can get lots of info from pool stores. Always buy the best filter you can afford for the size pool you have. Never go with a small/weak filter and motor if you can avoid it. The bigger the pool the longer it will take you to maintain clear water. Maintaining a pool that's more than 10 or 12 feet in diameter is not for the faint at heart. An 18ft pool can hold 14,000 gallons of water depending on depth. Vacuuming can take hours to do by hand. Best to have a robot to clean the bottom. They are not cheap and are not trouble free. Best to have others with whom you can share the duties of pool maintenance.

      @@TomCatFromMA The vacuumed water is still going through the filter. (roll eyes) That's what the filter is for. Makes zero sense to waste clean filtered water.

    • @TomCatFromMA
      @TomCatFromMA 4 года назад +2

      @@kurtsims Get ur info through research on the Web and pool stores. The filter on an above ground has an intake that is too high to keep the bottom clean. That's life for real. Inground pools can keep the bottom clean because the intake is usually on the floor of the pool with underground plumbing. Regardless, when flushing the filter, the outlet is shifted to a drain hose OUTSIDE the pool. Too much debris will go back into the pool otherwise. FYI, some jurisdictions forbid flushing a filter into the street. Do it on the sly if you have no toxic stuff in your drain water. Otherwise you will need to send that dirty filter flush water into a special drain on ur property which sends it to the waste water pipes in the street. Same as ur toilet. Good luck. ;-)
