I've had a 00-15 for over a year now and absolutely love it. In fact, it has replaced my 25 year old Breedlove as my favorite. One of the things I like most is the balance between highs and lows, and this video is a little misleading in that regard. They are using a Drop-D tuning, i.e. the low E string is tuned down to a D. Nice effect, but exaggerates the low end.
Thats my exact point. Its American made. Its all solid woods. It comes with a lifetime warranty, from a company that has been building acoustic guitars for over 175 years. Not only is it not massively over-priced. Its a bargain. Comparing it to an Alvarez only illustrates my point. To get something significantly cheaper than this guitar means you have to get something made overseas with laminated wood for the back and sides. Expensive doesn't mean over-priced.
Under what genre would you classify this kind of music? Blue-grass, blues, folk? I love this style but I can't seem to find the right stuff to listen to.
Just curious if you think this is over priced can you please tell us where we can get a comparable guitar with all the features you listed for under $1000. So that would be all solid woods, with on board electronics, cutaway, inlay, and American made?
i have a seagull cedar coastline s6 and a marting dm15, and there is no comparison to tone or sustain. if i had to choose one, i'd toss my seagull in a heartbeat. i understand guitars are subjective, but if you say they sound the same, i question your ear. also, the neck width of seagulls is very hard to hold the low e string for chords because i have small hands. martin also gives you a hardshell case instead of gig bag.
I FLIPPING LOVE THIS GUITAR!!!!!
ONE DAY IT WILL BE MINE.....
Such a beauty!!
I traded in a Martin D16-GT on one of these and I LOVE it! Super glad I did it
Nice guitar, nice playing and trusted seller.
beautiful tone

Daylight Again by Stephen Stills
👍👍
This is the kind of guitar you'd keep for the rest of your life
Beautifull guitar - looks and tone !
One of the few acoustics worth their asking price, imho.

is it recorded with a condenser?
What song?
What is this song called? Please help
my lovely john
Almost every acoustic song from his solo work is played on this martin.
Top back and sides, are all solid mahogany.
Have had similar experiences to Aaron's. A prestigious name plate does not guarantee a fine instrument.
@carvin112 This is most similar to acoustic fingerstyle folk I'd say. Just type that into the search bar, and see what you get! :)
Rory.
this guitar would look perfect with a black ebony fingerboard and bridge
well technically, he plays a 00-15m, not a triple o. but i get what you're saying. ;)
daym, the lows sounded really good but the highs not really
John Frusciante :D
I agree with Aaron Alander. Martin is overpriced.. You can get a Seagull which sounds the same for a cheaper price.

You're drunk, but keep believing that if it makes you feel better.
Haha you do realise you can adjust guitars so they don't buzz and have high action? You should really know that as you make custom guitars...
