  • Whitney Houston made her screen acting debut as Rachel Marron in the romantic thriller film The Bodyguard (1992). She performed the lead single from the film's original soundtrack, "I Will Always Love You", which received the Grammy Award for Record of the Year and became the best-selling single by a woman in music history. The soundtrack received the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1994, making Houston the first act to sell more than a million copies of an album within a single week period under Nielsen SoundScan system. The album also makes her the top female act in the top 10 list of the best-selling albums of all time, at number four.

Oh my goodness, yes! A wonderful speaking Voice, A Singing Voice that could've been given by the Angels themselves and the looks of a Goddess, a Super Model... 'Til this day, I still cannot believe she has passed away. I thank God that Whitney has blessed us with the memories she gave us by singing with The Voice She had during the years and also, with acting. May Whitney Rest in Peace & Music as well as her Baby Girl Bobbi Kristina. Peace ✌

We don't talk about her accomplishments enough. Yes we know she is the best voice ever. We know she is one of the most gorgeous women to ever live. But the accolades and history she made in the intro from Denzel. Every black female artist today should be thanking this woman. Cuz she didn't just open the door...she kicked that shit in with full force. God I love her! 💔❤️❤️

Well there are many black artist who are also great before whitney born but her prime is peculiar. can i tell you this, whitney is a superstar, ang mega iconic superstar that can ever walk and existed to this planet.she is the female queen of voice. Her contribution and great attitude give her in to the superior of being an artist. Beyond her talent and guts. She is the testimony of what diva is. She block the barrier along the greatest female and male black performer. She definitely do her thing to inspire and to be an inspiration of everything not only to the aspiring singers but also the dream of everygirls and boys.
