Crystal Forest Petrified Wood, Free Dispersed Camping

After a visit to Grand Canyon National Park I decided to visit Petrified Forest National Park on a whim. The park was amazing, but equally amazing was my visit to Crystal Forest Museum. They offer free camping to self contained RV's (no water, no bathrooms, no electricity). The camping was wonderful and peaceful. Heidi, the manager of the store/museum was amazing. This is a large store with not only petrified wood memorabilia, but also crystal rock, t-shirts, native american blankets, and many other gifts. The store is large and well presented with amazing rocks and petrified wood. There is also an outdoor yard with with rougher but very affordable and beautiful pieces. A visit is highly recommended.
