Hi from Antalya, Turkey. I switched over to cold water shaving about 3 months ago and it's the best thing I have ever done. My lather seems much slicker and creamier and my shaves much closer and smoother. I don't get any nicks or cuts anymore. It's not for everybody but it's worth a try.
If you from Alabama roll tide that’s where I was born in raised cold water shaving is the best for my skin no irritation no bumps it works for skin I recommend cold water shaving
Hot water shaves always irritate my neck area, esp in winter. So, I've developed this cold water shaving routine w\ Merkur 34c: (0. Get a separate electric brush head just for your face/neck) 1. Disinfect brush head and DE blade (Voskhod) in barbicide solution or rubbing alcohol (10 mins) 2. Apply moisturizing cream 3. Exfoliate neck and face w/ electric toothbrush 4. Apply oil with low comedogenic rating, e.g. grape seed or castor oil: @t 5. Build lather directly on your face! I use Derby shaving cream 6. Shave. Optional: wear Vanquisher swim goggles if you have an eye-related traumatophobia 6.1. Rinse face after each pass 6.2. Re-apply oil/lather 7. Take icy cold shower in a spring 3mm wetsuit (~2 mins) I actually feel and look 5 years younger for a few hours. Total time: ~15-20 mins. Each shave should be treated as a medical procedure IMHO
For me I can only use cold water with the warmer weather.I've tried cold water in the winter and my skin doesn't like it,it prefers warmer water. This includes cold razor/blade too.
Thank u SOOOO MUCH cold water shaving has stopped the irritation from the sides of my head being that I am an everyday head shaver with eczema head fresh as a newborns bottom LOL
I started cold water shaving 2 months ago and will not hot water shaving again With cold water I get better shaves and no skin irritation and it’s refreshing 😃
Same as Tony here. Switched over because of that crazy Scottish Aussie. Even did a shave with ice in the sink. Lol It really depends on the day but I prefer cold water. Especially when I use a menthol soap!!! Great info and video Sir!
Brown Man Shaves thanks! I have cryogen lined up for a video soon and am really looking forward to using it now that summer is here. I heard it's the coldest out there right now.
I've hot water shaved for years, but I decided to experiment and shave with cold water. Boy, what a difference! Almost no irritation and for once, I didn't get nicked! Definitely gonna keep shaving with cold water
Great informative video, I switched over to cold water shaving after seeing Cris from Another cut above have great success with it and I've never looked back either. Cheers buddy 👍
You can learn everything you need to know about cold water shaving from the movies. Goodfellas "always cut with a cold blade you get a cleaner cut." Good morning Vietnam "remember to always shave with a cold razor to prevent razor burn."

Did u still use shaving cream?
@@jasminesanchez1755 No I only use Arko Soap Sticks. I find creams don't work as well as soap whether you use hot or cold water.
How is cold water shaving not for everyone?
Nice Alabama shirt! Good information.

Is it safe to shave on good bumps?
which one would you like getting a cut while your hands are warm or getting a cut while you're tense and your hands are cold
Hahaha, I prefer not to cut myself at all!!
Been shaving for 10 years, since I was 14. Never even thought to use cold water.
For sure going to try this tonight.
Let me know how it goes!
@@ShavedWeiss Yes, it is my new thing. Can't believe this was a real thing. Cold water shave is much better than hot water shave.
