Theists in a nutshell : "How dare you ask questions and expect me to answer them ?! I'd rather change the subject until you're bored and I can claim victory."
"I'd rather you just answer the question."
Most honest theist response I've ever heard: "I'd rather go to the other thing."
This is the same guy who when asked if he cares if his beliefs are true, he said yes. And then later in the call when they pointed out that he just believes to fill gaps in things we don't understand he said, yes and I don't see anything wrong with that, I'd rather believe something now than wait for science to figure out the truth... religion rots your brain
Armin's story is heartbreaking.
it's amazing how much harm religion causes.
Every ideology is harmful.
I literally was tearing up. Theres no way I couldn have sit across from him without sobbing at that...😢
@@marylacken4016okay??? And?
Imagine. Being afraid of becoming an adult.
@@marylacken4016Did you mean to say dogma, instead of ideology?
I feel so sad for the young Armin. I want to reach back in time and give him a hug. What terrible things to teach a little child. I'm so glad my parents raised us non-religious.
Jon: "Why do you care so much about what people believe?" I don't until they try to translate their beliefs in laws and other actions that affect the rest of us.
Jon's the worst caller. It's always the same. His point gets demolished and then to avoid confronting the fact his point got demolished he runs away into the shield of his transphobia. This time he ran all the way away and hung up. Normally I don't mind the repeat callers but I wouldn't mind never hearing his voice again.
BUT HOW WILL YOU BE ABLE TO FIND IT IF YOU CAN'T SEE, JOHN?
John is literally as blind as that namesake.
@@AmEv7fam I got a blind friend named John
You better hope he doesn’t see this
6:50 Alan… wants advice on how to talk to his best friend about Alan’s atheism
24:40 Dave… Faith is the only fair method to discuss belief in god. Smarter people could understand evidence but thickos would struggle, therefore faith explains it to everyone fairly.
1:05:00 Monkey knows more about DNA than Forrest lol
1:10:00 Michael re biblical slavery … it was due to stubbornness and God was cool with it
1:27:10 Superchat
1:30:25 Armin tells us his experience as a child in Islam.. fear of burning in hell caused him to jump out of his school window.. and his shame and disgust that God could read his mind at all times… wow
1:34:50 Carlos Asks about the realisation of rejection as an anti-theist in Puerto Rico
1:56:15 Jon re Pascal’s wager .. what’s wrong with it? and what if you’re wrong Forrest? …. but the Christian god created the USA why do you care so much about what others believe?
Thanks guy!
Spank you very much 😘
cheers dude
Thx
Thanks
Forrest: *cracks knuckles* "It'll be better if you answer the question." 😑😑
Me: "Oh sh!t- Forrest is going bad cop!" 😱😱... 👀👀 Nice...
That was hysterical 🤣
"I BEGGED for _ANYTHING!_ I _cried out_ for him... but I'm an atheist, so... that didn't work out."
Armin, your comic timing is impeccable! That deadpan delivery of the end made me burst out laughing! 😂👍🍻
I appreciate Forrest not platforming anti-vax bulshit and conspiracy nuttery.
After listening to This Week In Virology the past 9 years I gotta tell you the caller was completely incoherent and so wrong he was not even wrong.
What an ass
Same, especially since the guy calling in has zero interest in having a conversation, and just pushes his stupid "everything is waves, the government is manipulating you by waves by injecting stuff into you, and climate change is just us waking up to what is happening."
That guy calls into a bunch of atheist shows under different names saying that same word salad bull shit
That was Jordan Peterson?
Isn't he a follower of gender faith a member of the rainbow cult.
Without knowing anything about him politically I already know he supports the atheistic humanist Communists /socialist / fascist atheistic humanist left.
I bet he supports ticking away Americans constitutional right to free speech and practice religion by compelling people in speech to acknowledge gender Faith as both a physical moral reality.
Armin's description of the good parts of the bible acting a sugar coating, marketing for bad parts is pure gold. Thank you sir, very good analysis.
I love how Forrest just shut down slavery instantly
It should be so simple... Do NOT OWN PEOPLE! It doesn't matter how 'nice' you might be. DO NOT OWN PEOPLE!
@@user-qt8kq5qq8o right? I liked when they used the kidnapper analogy to point out that it doesn't matter if you're a good kidnapper you still took someone against their will.
@@user-qt8kq5qq8oit's funny, but I guess it's a dangerous concept for christian cultures to accept.
After all, the whole structure of the religion is based on hierarchies that declare various levels of "ownership" between living beings.
God "owns" everyone. Man "owns" woman. Adults "own" children. It just goes on and on.
There is little to their religion that does not assume that humans -- ALL humans -- are property of some kind...
So much for a belief system that insists that their followers are "free".
“I pray a simple prayer every morning. It’s an ecumenical prayer. Whether you’re Catholic or Jewish or Muslim or Hindu, I think it speaks to the heart of every faith. It goes “Lord please break the laws of the universe for my convenience. Amen.””
- Emo Philips
Allah's dickest move ever was making Armin feel like self-harm was better than asking questions. So glad Armin got out of that and is doing better now.
If Allah doesn't exist, how can you blame Allah for making a dick move?
Atheists are irrational.
Sadly a lot of Muslims have a similar experience. It's refreshing and empowering hearing strong men like Armin speak up about their personal (horrific) experiences with religion. Islam has a unique way of really screwing with you mentally if you come from a Non-muslim majority country.
@@EdithBromfeld
You misspelled theists again Jimmy, no “a”.
I'd suggest multiple genocides are bigger dick moves
LoL atheism asking questions lol . Atheism is a bias position it's a disbelief salon willingness or inability to accept God as true.
Kim jong-un said he's going to murder somebody and that's how they become an atheist.
Somebody has a mental illness and believe they have a brain of a different gender in their body and if they pretend God doesn't exist they believe they'll accept themselves and that people will accept them.
That's atheism.
Matter of fact not only does atheism not require critical thinking it doesn't even require thinking.
If somebody was born completely brain-dead never having a thought they would be an atheist because they wouldn't have the ability to accept God as true
I understand why Dave was so concerned about not-so-intelligent people getting into heaven-he’s looking out for his own skin
Why have I not heard about Armin before now?! I'm slacking obviously. Armin's comments and responses were seriously on-point and brilliant. Forrest and Armin are a fantastic duo, what a great show!
He is the founder of the Atheist Republic.
It is on RUclips channel, Facebook (largest atheist page), Twitter and Instagram.
I got to know him through his godess Kali cartoon controversy, and became a regular viewer of his youtube channel, where he and other host, mostly Susanna, conduct weekly livestream about 10 atheist and religion related news. He speaks at his Persian channel too.
Same!
Pascal's Wager is weird. If you are not convinced, pretending to be convinced is not going to fool god AND you have broken a commandment by lying!
I remember as a kid coming up with my own version of Pascal's wager as a thought experiment but didn't know anything about Pascal yet. It took me about a minute to realize that an ominiscient god wouldn't be fooled by someone hedging their bets. It's sad that logic that can be conjured and understood by a tween is so elusive to fully grown adult theists.
@@scottjohnson7248 "Fully grown" and "adult" really only speak of the physical aspect of someone's development...
This making one’s self believe stuff, I don’t know how that works. And I think some people think you can. Because their really invested in looking down on others belief’s as not good enough. Pascal’s wager just comes off as snobby and elitist. It’s a monoculture idea.
@@kowohit’s called “brainwashing” and it is possible to do it to oneself.
😊
It's also strange to claim there's no cost to suspending your critical faculties for your entire live.
Forrest was extra salty and Armin was extra sharp. The combination of the 2 was delicious. Hope these 2 host together much more often
An athiest pecorino for the ears.

Armin is an A+ host! Keep him.
Forrest and Armin are SUCH A GOOD COMBO! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I do enjoy Forrest's approach to the fallacies espoused by religionists. Also, I appreciate Armin's sensitivity in tackling the troublesome parts of the issues discussed. Despite English not being his primary tongue, he still manages to convey his humanity and the real cost of religion, borne out of his own experience. Good show, guys!
Armin is a fantastic speaker. He should have a podcast with millions of listeners.
Armin and Forrest are great together.
They are good listeners as well as communicators. ❤
Armins story was so powerful. He’s new to me, but im seeking him out like I do Forrest moving forward
The episode of his podcast where he talks to a gay ex Muslim is great. It's called the Secular Jihadists, I watched it on youtube
I loved these two hosts! As ever, Forrest is brilliant and energetic. And Armin was amazing - so articulate, and it’s so nice to hear someone from an ex-Muslim perspective which I rarely get to hear. Also, what a story, Armin!
God, I like that Forrest. The guy just makes so much sense . Same with Armin they are both so intelligent.
Agreed and both so articulate too. They have a good dynamic
Forest was on fucking fire on this show. More than usual! At some points it was like I was listening to a crescendo in my favorite song, because he had set up his arguments so beautifully and then come down hard with the truth when the callers walked right into his traps.
Forrest is unmatched as an orator and counterapologist. I've basically known it since the first time I saw him on TikTok years ago.
As soon as you see "none given" for pro nouns, you know it's going to be a good call
Tbf, I would probably do the same, and I'm left on most issues and an atheist. That pronoun stuff annoys me. It feels very performative.
God damn this episode was 🔥🔥🔥🔥. More Armin and Forrest please!!!!
Flaming gender fairies it's just the same old atheistic garbage.
@@AtheistCulturalMarxist hi Nathaniel. I see that you are back in your Nazi account.

Hell yeah, totally agree

Great show Armin Navabi has an amazing perspective. I love his insight. Great job Forrest Valkai
God damn, Armin. Brother that breaks my heart to hear how terrified you were as a young man. Thank Roland you found your way out of religion.
Wooohooooo Forrest and Armin are such amazing hosts! What a great episode! I hope to see them both on again soon.
Agreed. Fabulous show today.
Forrest was throwing some kick ass fire and brimstone this episode and Armin was coming up with some really top shelf points. Great show!
I didn't know Armin before i saw him on this show... but he's quickly becoming a favorite host!
He's one of my favorites.
He is dope ! Watch his youtube channel "Atheist Republic", where he and other host, mostly Susanna conduct weekly live streams on Sunday about 10 news related to atheism and religion covering many countries.
Dave is believing in whatever he already wants regardless of the evidence.
He is putting the cart before the unicorn.
Two of my favourite hosts. Great show!
Agreed. these two are class acts.
I love these two guys! Smart, empathetic when necessary, and very good at weeding through people’s points and thoughts and so much more.
Armin is an insightful, smart dude.
And very good looking.
Dave saying "it's not stupid" but then immediately after admitting he doesn't know why 😂
This has to be one of the most insane, horrifying, and hilarious Atheist Experience videos I've listened to in a very, very long time. Some of these callers... just wow.
Armin's testimony about his experience with religion was perhaps the most impactful thing I've heard on this channel.
I do love that a guy who doesn't understand how DNA works tried to lecture Forrest about how he doesn't know science
Dave: "I'm not gonna wait for science to figure everything out."
Also Dave: "delays arent always bad."
. . .
Brilliant, massive Forrest fan, never seen Armin before, will definitely be on the lookout in future.
Great hosts with great chemistry.
Dave's entire belief system is based on gullibility.
So so so good! Love to all of you. Armin, thank you for your vulnerability and I’m so glad you lived.
Forrest and Armin are great! Love'em!!!
AXPs super duo. Armin and Forrest are such an amazing 1-2 punch.
Armin did amazing
53:10 I don't know if this doctor hiding behind a tree analogy is a Forrest original, but good doc, is it perfect! I'm bagging that up and taking it with me! 😊👍🍻
My ghast is truly flabbered
Excellent episode, thanks to you both for bringing clear, reasoned answers to good questions as well as nonsensical ones. As a Canadian too Jon embarrasses with his bigoted, homophobic, and sycophantic crap. He answers his own question about why we care what others think. Bring back Armin and Forrest together as often as possible.
Jon is the kind of guy who votes for Steven Harper...
Dave was all over the place. Another nice theist desperately trying to save his faith
...there ain't no hate like Christian love...
You could tell he was struggling to reconcile his faith with his rational thinking.
Yep, very sad how religion will fuck with a human mind, poor guy, if he heard a Muslim spouting this maybe it would click how bad his thought process is
He wasn't nice at all. He was downright rude and disrespectful by refusing to answer questions and ignore what the other person was saying. Rude rude rude. The christian male grew up with religion but no manners.
I didn't think he was nice, I thought he was polite but irrational and sinister.
I would always listen to these hosts. Thank you both
Armin, your answer to the first call is inspiring and spot-on ❤ We need to respect each other and be there for one another regardless of belief system.
Alan WI - I have found that the best way to deal with people with stubbornly held opposing views, is to write down the two polar opposite ends of a subject; Then REFUSE to DEBATE them. Next make a list of things that you each agree on related to the subject. Then say you are only willing to discuss compromise that can achieve common goals. Whenever your opponent drifts back to stubborn debate, start back at the first step. People can only convince themselves.
These two are amazing together!
The fool says in his heart "there is no god" but the wise man says in his mind "there may or may not be a god, but there is no independently verifiable evidence to meet the burden carried by the positive truth claim that there is a god".
1:00:30 This rant by Forrest sums up the entire problem with religions. I'm onboard with the anti-theist comment he made.
Great show Armin and Forrest. (This is Danielle who sent in the superchat at 2:08:30) I had no intent on coming out to my friend (or myself) when I did. It was more of a surprise to me than to her when I did. I broke down completely and it looked like someone having a seizure as my body fought to avoid having it come out with half of my brain trying to force it out and the other half trying to keep it hidden. I literally fell out of my chair, could not see or hear, was crying but could not stop it from coming out. After she heard what I said she said you are trans and you don't even know it and I realized it was true. (I did not say I am trans, but I said a bunch of things that I had never told anyone, many of which I had not even admitted to myself that made it obvious to her that I was trans)
Hugs❤
@@jamiegallier2106 thank you
Thanks hosts. You are much appreciated.
Armin thank you for sharing your story. Wow man.
Armin was amazing. I can't wait to see him back on the show. Forrest.. once again you knocked it out of the park my guy. Wonderful show, kudos all around.
Dave is a great example of what happens when one has a lack of critical thinking skills.
You don’t hide to get true love from another. Your spouse shows up every day. Your parents and friends are there for you. You don’t love them more by their absence. In fact, you would love them less or not at all. Love is a relationship that requires actually being there (or existing). You don’t lose free will by knowing something exists. I know my wife exists and I CHOOSE of my own free will each day to love and she does likewise. The bizarre mental hoops theists jump through to try and rationalize their indoctrination to a man made myth is astounding.
You guys were on Fire today ! Absolutely amazing. I love your passion.
Forrest went Berserker Mode this episode. Lol never seen him so heated.(Though admittedly he had a very normal reaction to what he was subjected to.)
Excusing slavery is his hot button. The past caller he referred to who said being a slave can make you more of a man was the first time I saw him lose it. I think it was with Johnny P. Angel. It doesn't surprise me that he remembers it so well. That guy was a piece of work.
Dave-
I could just as easily say, "I have faith that men are smarter than women and I'm just gonna accept that because I don't want to wait the rest of my life for science to prove me wrong!"
What a payhetic, bs excuse for just picking whatever makes you feel good.
We all like to think that we value truth, so does he. Turns out a comforting narrative matters more to him. Imagine my surprise.
Honestly Alan's situation damn near brought me to tears. I'm scared for when a friend of mine is in the same situation because his belief is blind and he always just tells me to go to God n all that. Hope all has gone well for you Alan.
Definitely two of my favorite hosts! Awesome duo!
Wow, Armin @ 1:20:24 - mad respect. 👍
When I left Mormonism and was starting to investigate the Bible to figure out into which brand of Christianity I should land, I stumbled onto that verse from 2 Kings 2:23-24, and that pretty much sealed the deal for Atheism.

Awesome show! Forrest has become so skillful at hosting and Armin is always a delight- insightful and comedic. They fell into a great rhythm during the show, and worked well keeping callers on track. Of all the trollish or dishonest callers on this episode, Dave/CT was the worst. That tone, that willing to converse nice guy xian act is just that- an act. It’s a sales pitch routine just like any other.
They did a great job tag teaming with each seamlessly picking up where the other left off. I think the word is simpatico.

Great duo!
Dave I realize that we use the term faithful when it comes to our spouses, but I don't have blind Faith that my spouse is not cheating on me. I have a trust based on evidence. And it absolutely could be incorrect. I'm not absolutely certain that she is not cheating but based on our relationship, based on our history based on our interactions the time we spend together her set of morals and the claims of her feelings towards me and seeing her actions match those feelings then I feel justified to trust that she is not cheating. So I make a determination based on a plethora of evidence and at the end of the day that belief could be incorrect but based on the evidence I've collected it is justified to believe that she is most likely being faithful to me. I have seen no evidence of that magnitude to warrant any belief in a god
Plus you've met your spouse, as opposed to being told about a spouse with magic powers living on the moon that loves you from a book written thousands of years ago.
It's the classic "you wouldn't know her, she goes to another school."
Armin and Forrest are such nice guys, but they will not entertain a dodge the same way a lot of other hosts might. They won’t let a caller abruptly change the subject, and they demand callers give straight answers to direct questions. It helps that when the roles are reversed, the hosts practice what they demand of the callers.
Forrest and Armin are great together! Keep up doing great work chaps!
Grate show guys, glad to see Armin back
Oh so late to the party...

Apparently Monkey King (Wes) has previously claimed to be suffering from mental illness, i think it would be better to avoid their calls, and redirect them to more appropriate services.
What kind?
Just listening to the podcast of this show, now. Great stuff from start to finish. Forrest and Armin are a fine combination. I especially loved Armin explaining the COST of having beliefs not based in reality. ‘Your low standards for truth are hurting the rest of us, dude’.
I love how Michael kept saying that Moses wrote the laws but conveniently left out the part that Yahweh dictated them to him 😂😂😂
