2014 Wawrinka? No big 4 member. Realistically they are all usual opponents u need to play to win a slam, it's just that Federer/Djokovic wouldn't get taken to 5 by someone like Verdasco or Dimitrov.
@zakaria djouzi Yes and Nadal faced Wawrinka in the final. Nadal avoided Djokovic, he got a good draw. And no, Verdasco was not top 5, not at all. His highest rank was no7. He would've lost in straight sets to Federer had they played realistically. 2017 his draw was far easier than Federers ( Berdych, Nishikori,Wawrinka and Nadal). 2020 he did get a tough draw. But aside from that all the other draws are no harder than a usual draw.
@zakaria djouzi so, Wawrinka defeating Djokovic doesn't make him harder than Djokovic. That's like saying Federer FO 2009 was the tough because he beat the guy who beat the king of clay?? Djokovics draw was obviously worse, he faced Wawrinka 4th round and would have had to play a big 4 member is the final. Nadal matches up worse against Verdasco, he would've been beaten in straight sets by Fed. Fed has never lost to Verdasco, Nadal has numerous times to prove my point. He was not top 3 caliber, please, are you serious? Nadals draw is AO 2014 was standard, as was his AO 2009, his AO 2017 wasn't even that bad. Dimitrov, really????? That's the toughest opponent? A guy who was beaten in straight sets in round 4 of Wimbledon that year by Fed. Please, what are you talking about lol. You knows what was a tougher draw? Nadals AO 2012 draw, far tougher than any draw you've mentioned. 2017 Raonic sucked, he was injured all year. Berdych had a far better year. Get your facts straights. Raonic best result was Wimbledon, where he was destroyed by Federer??? And Federers Wimbledon 2017 draw was considered easy.

28:48 seems effective to me. The issue isn't the technique, its the player. Kyrgios's forehand technique is more than capable of outputting enough quality to beat nadal, but Kyrgios himself struggles to output that quality for an extended period of time. To be fair to him, he played a very long match against khachanov the match before and he was likely tired. We can see at 28:48 though, what happens when he really puts in that effort. His footwork was great and his preparation super early on every one of these shots. the results were world class. not everyone can approach every point with this kind of intensity though. this is what makes dominic thiem so good.
Thiem era uno de los 4 mejores del mundo , lo que es una pena es lo que lea pasado ahora y el puesto que ocupa en el rankings espero que con el tiempo vuelva a ser el que era antes
so interesting to see kyrgios hitting loopy balls with alots of spin off the forehand side against nadal. Its almost like he was giving some elements of nadal's playstyle a try haha. I miss his explosive powerful forehand, but I wonder if he was committed to playing way as a way to develop his rally and defense game. not that we didn't get a see a couple nice powerful forehand from nick, but I feel like he wasn't trying to dictate the point at all from his forehand side which was weird. of course, alternative theory, nick was just so frustrated at how slow the ball was moving at that tournament up to that point that he decided to just play super safe loopy shots and overuse drop shots as a soft from of protest XD
I am guessing Nick was fatigued after playing 2 extremely long matches back to back (in his experience) and just did not get enough juice to be aggressive in his Nadal encounter. Unfortunate, since Nick is such a joy to watch
Always love seeing nicks opponent win... whoever it is lol. 😂😅 but Nadal has a poor ace game. Is it this match in particular or all matches? Always watch the shorter highlights

Ok This match, this whole Australian summer Nick Kyrgios was respectful, fed off the team environment of the ATP Cup and played his heart out, and yet people still criticise him on a highlight video on one of his best matches of the year no less? Maybe he doesn’t really like Nadal but he didn’t express it before, during the match, played with respect gave full effort
Funny that both players had chances to win match as(s) two tiebreaks in 3,4th sets occured. tie=break you know is quick up-and-down blitz round with lottery tickets of luck Nick was desperated after initial set then could win set in 3rd set tiebreak and match in 4th set "sudden death" blitz.
Nadal was so good in this match, if this was djokovic to play against kyrgios, the result could be different. In this AU, Djokovic was at a much easier draw than Nadal

Aquí esperando a mañana. Semifinal de Wimbledon después de un partido épico de Nadal y el mejor Kyrgios.
Rafa gets up for every match. But you know that he really wanted to kick Nick's butt after he talked all that crap about him to the press.
what did he say?
@@coinrotator Nothing. Usual nadal fans that gets angry for nothing.
@@monsieurbreakdown4814 Lol, delusional,Kyrgios its a disrespectful prick sometimes, anyone knows that.
@@Man_3336 Funny how people are so used to the false world of tennis, acting and lying, that they call disrespectful prich someone that just being himself.

Kyrgios’ wiper swing forehand isn’t effective to Nadal.
It is indeed effective, kyrgios won 3 matches against Nadal
Not anymore it's not
It works though, don’t need to criticise it.
Nadal has an unusual technique, yet it works for him.
Nadal was so exhausted after this match that he couldnt win the semi against Thiem. Amazing match
Thiem era uno de los 4 mejores del mundo , lo que es una pena es lo que lea pasado ahora y el puesto que ocupa en el rankings espero que con el tiempo vuelva a ser el que era antes
When Nick puts in full effort, you're in for a treat of a match. He's pushing any player, doesn't matter who you are.
Nadal always had my favorite tennis style ⭐
so interesting to see kyrgios hitting loopy balls with alots of spin off the forehand side against nadal.
I had the same feeling ah ah !!
I am guessing Nick was fatigued after playing 2 extremely long matches back to back (in his experience) and just did not get enough juice to be aggressive in his Nadal encounter. Unfortunate, since Nick is such a joy to watch
@@hippios thats a good theory too. I forgot about the previous two matches and how tough they were for nick.
Any player that can beat Nadal... on any surface... deserves my respect.
1080p60 please!
During lockdown they reduced everything to 480p after the lift you can watch it
Outstanding match!
great match
Un genio rafa.
This was the exact same score as wimbledon wtf
Lmao good catch lol
Exciting match! I am sure Kyrgios could possible be in top 5 if he want to.

Nadal won the French open when he was 19😂 I hope slow success didn’t refer to him
The best😏👌🏻
Excelentes y nobles ambos contendientes. ¡Bravo!
720p video from 2020?
14:55 lmao 🤣
Kyrgios was DOA. Nadal was on a mission to beat Nick in front of the home crowd.
Nick earned some of that respect back in this match tbh
@@BrandonSG13 he lost to his enemy in front of his home crowd. Nick was gutted...everyone else was satisfied.
Great match from Nadal!
I love nadal
publishing this in 720p in 2020?
Me constantly waiting for kyrgios to slap the ball when i start watching
13:39 backhand slomo (just for me)
Nationwide
Always love seeing nicks opponent win... whoever it is lol. 😂😅 but Nadal has a poor ace game. Is it this match in particular or all matches? Always watch the shorter highlights
So... Nick did this after a night out 🤣 madness
Nick should play every point like its life or death he is so good at it. Like in 28:55
Great!
As a Rafan, he would probably be more efficient if he hit some flat balls down the line, like he did in 2010.
I feel like it's also the key to beating djoko on hardcourts, like how he did it in 2010 and 2013
@@張易安-g5n Exactly
@@atptouracademy1121 his forehand shots now are a bit predictable and often land too short with high bounces, making it easy for players to attack
@@張易安-g5n Yup, though I think it depends on the surface and conditions like on fast surfaces like the US Open he was hitting them quite low and hard.

The ads drove me crazy.
30:20 "it's ridiculous" HAHAHA
Kyrgios skills and physics getting closer and closer to the top 5 i think with little more luck and better game planning in 2 to 3 years he be the best player in the world
No this score is in wimbledon 2019 quartefinal
Martin Soukup this match was much better though
Respecting confidence over quality - is a metaphor as to why Australia is failing as a country in 2020.

Nick is great player he can match up.many top players and win the tournament if he is serious
07:20 why kyrgios yelling like " say something " ?
He recently fired his coach; replacing him with a french mime artist to try and shake up his gameplay
Partido increible y igualado pero rafa se llevo la victoria vamos rafaaaa
This looked like Federer was playing Nadal not Kyrgios.
He will be defeated till he learns to respect his opponents.
Looks like he respected Nadal this match at least, applauded Nadal's play and good handshake at the end. Hope he continues this way after the season gets back on track.
Ok
This match, this whole Australian summer Nick Kyrgios was respectful, fed off the team environment of the ATP Cup and played his heart out, and yet people still criticise him on a highlight video on one of his best matches of the year no less? Maybe he doesn’t really like Nadal but he didn’t express it before, during the match, played with respect gave full effort
This match eased the tension between these two after the fiesty Wimbledon clash of 2019.
Funny that both players had chances to win match as(s) two tiebreaks in 3,4th sets occured. tie=break you know is quick up-and-down blitz round with lottery tickets of luck
Nick was desperated after initial set then could win set in 3rd set tiebreak and match in 4th set "sudden death" blitz.
Nadal was so good in this match, if this was djokovic to play against kyrgios, the result could be different. In this AU, Djokovic was at a much easier draw than Nadal
Particularly impressed with how Nadal repeatedly caught Nick by surprise with his serve ... usually its the other way around ... and Nadal definitely returned Nick's nuclear serves extremely well during this match !

Is the Co commentator joe rogan ?
Si Nadal hubiese tenido el saque de kyrgios, habría sido invencible
