  • Joy of Living subscribers now have the exclusive opportunity to participate in regular live Community Circle interactive sessions with Tergar instructor Tim Olmsted. We've already started and this is an excerpt from our last session. Come and join us at joy.tergar.org/
These Community Circle sessions create an open and relaxed environment where subscribers can share their meditation experiences and gain insights from the questions and perspectives of fellow practitioners.
Tim Olmsted has been a student and teacher of meditation for the past four decades. For 12 of those years, he lived in Nepal, working as a psychotherapist serving the international community. There, Tim studied with many of the greatest meditation teachers of our time, including Mingyur Rinpoche’s father, Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche. He is very much looking forward to being with Joy of Living subscribers during these Community Circle sessions!

I deeply respect and admire Mingyur Rinpoche's courage and commitment to the truth of our nature.
And I really hope that this way of relating to fear and anxiety gives people some ease (in the short term) and release (ultimately).
But, in the context of the panic disorder that I suffered from, this is incomplete - and I'm not sure why this is.
Perhaps, a more complete teaching on fear would be inappropriate for the maturity level of a practitioner struggling with overwhelming panic?

We get swept away by our thoughts, amplified by inclination and habit. _("Like chips of wood on storm tossed oceans.)_ And brain works with those thoughts to create a full set of raitonalization/justifications. *_("Persona management.")_*
Gotta somehow break that causal chain!
p.s. having eyes, we can see others. but to see ourselves? we need others as mirrors!

I trust the stream counters on streaming apps about as much as a fart after an ice cream and bean burrito with extra cheese dipped in apricot sauce then washed down with raw milk
