Thanks for helping the community with all the great content that you share
You're welcome. Thanks for hitting the tip jar.
Your content is all anyone needs! Great work!
I appreciate that! Thank you.
Awesome. Thanks for the tutorial. Nothing better than a coffee and reviewing some traces in your logs.
I think this is awesome especially for maidens/new hardware to validate performance. Cool stuff.
Another great video. Learn something new every day.
This is fantastic. Now, I no longer absolutely _have_ to pull my SD logs up in a spreadsheet.
Yeah man. Very nice for field analysis too. Cool feature!
Thanks for sharing, this is a great tool. No kidding about the indexing taking a while! The size of the logs will of course make a difference to how long the indexing takes too, so if you're looking to speed up the process delete your larger logs as well as any older ones that aren't needed.
Yeah, less is more on the first run for sure.
Thank you very much, finally I know how to use this script in telemetry.
You are welcome!
Plots! Love it!! Great avenue for trouble shooting- just follow the data
Yeah, pretty useful for days at the field I think.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Awesome !!!
Offer is a helluva nice guy for sharing his work with us.
@@RCVideoReviews true !
Takk!
Du er hjertelig velkommen. Takk for at du traff tipset.
Very useful tool! Thanks for sharing. Does it work on B&W screen radios?
No, it doesn't work on B&W radios. I don't think they have enough screen real estate to make it practical.
Hi John, perhaps you could put me out of my misery. been playing with the Log Viewer with little success.Although there are log files in the log folder, when I run Log Viewer tell there no files to view. any suggestion?
Is there a possibility to select which values are logged, RxBt is not included.
On the telemetry screen you can edit a sensor and choose whether or not it's logged. By default, when a sensor is discovered, logging is enabled.
Great concept and works for me but I am trying to figure out how to display other telemetry; altitude, vertical speed etc. I'm a glider guy and I can't see those fields to select, even though they are in my log files and available through EdgeTX companion. Any ideas?
Did you try scrolling? Maybe the developer can help.
@@RCVideoReviews Yes, tried scrolling but the "extra" fields don't seem to appear. Let's see if he chimes in! 🙂
I have a feeling he will ;)
OK, false alarm! Once I chose a specific model instead of "all", it found the fields I was hoping for. All good, thanks! Super tool for me.
When i start the script on my TX16S, on the first page the "log file" stay on "NOT FOUND", this is strange because the model and date filters are working OK so i know the script can see somehow my logs in SD card. But the log file selection is always "NOT found" so i can't select any log file and press next to select then the sensors...
Any idea about this bug ?
Great Video ;)
this probably one of two scenario
1. the log files you have are less than 60 second of data in them
2. the logs files you have have no data change (the script is smart, and remove column that did not changed during the flight)
@@offers100 Thank you for your answer, indeed the logs i have are only test logs so i will try next time with real flght log
@@chrisleprince1 great, hope you will enjoy it
You can turn on logging and jiggle the sticks for a minute. That would at least let you experiment with it.
The logviewer has been renamed to FlightHistory in EdgeTX 2.9.1
No it hasn't.
1) It's not an EdgeTX script, it's a script by Offer Shmuely. So EdgeTX revisions have nothing to do with script names/revisions.
2) Offer's github still shows both Flight History and Logviewer: github.com/offer-shmuely/edgetx-x10-scripts/tree/main/SCRIPTS/TOOLS
Okay thanks.@@RCVideoReviews
Hello, careful when installing Logview. When checking after installing Logview at the version of edgetx I noticed that verse: v2.8.1 "FlyingDutchman" was changed to "custom version" in Edge tx. Upon reinstalling v2.8.1 this was fixed.
However, LogView works fine only you get a short snow screen on startup. After reinstall this is gone and you get a nice "loading" on startup.
What you described above does not sound possible. I will be checking this later tonight. Lua scripts should not have the ability to change the version string reported by the firmware.
@@RCVideoReviews ruclips.net/video/UlOeFDK-fa8/видео.html
Yeah, I absolutely cannot replicate this behavior. I deleted logviewer folder and lua, rebooted radio, checked for 2.8.1 "flying dutchman" -- confirmed. Installed logviewer, checked for 2.8.1 "flying dutchman" -- confirmed. I've sent this to Offer to review, but I think something else was going on. I seriously seriously doubt a lua script can interfere with a version string.
Hi,
As far as I know, the lua script run in different area of the memory of the processor, and it is not where the version of edgeTx is stored, so lua script have no ability to change it.
Can you try that again and video the process?
Although this script is relatively new, I did not got such indication from the beta tester I had, and I like to verify what happend in you case
@@offers100 I tried this again shortly after the fix (reinstallation). I was unable to re-establish the same "custom version ". What I did notice was that the startup snow effect was gone. ruclips.net/video/S98voj9mLVg/видео.html
Man I need to upgrade my old Jumper with Open TX............
Git 'r done!
Hello. I saw another video somewhere on YT that showed having an aluminum handle on the radio sapped some of the RF energy coming from the antenna. Your thoughts? I'll try to find the video again and post it here.
Uh…no.
Link to the download for the log viewer?
In description.
@@RCVideoReviews negative. it's not.
edit: now it is after a refresh so it was edited in :)
Thanks
Thanks!
