That was a useful comparison Wayne. Thanks for taking the time to do the tests and post the results. I tend to agree with your conclusions especially regarding the size and weight .....

Would you recommend this combo in face detect autofocus in video mode? How about in low light situation?

While I'm at it, it's not clear to me if you were using a Metabones with this lens. Would you mind making that information clear in the presentation? Thanks again,LG

Hello Wayne, I'm buying a metabone for this lens to adapt it to my sony a6000. I also have the canon mount (used it on my 6d). There's a new V generation of the metabone, should I buy that or stick with the IV?

@10:21 no thats not the same exposure. Left is f2 1/250th shutter, right is f1.4 1/500th. But theyre not even the same ISO, the right has 1.3rd stop less light lol

THX for the video. Is it true that you cannot use the AF-C in video when using the sigma + metabones iv on the sony a7rii?

+Mathias Kuphal I believe this is true, although I haven't tried the latest firmware so may be worth a read on the metabones site just in case they've managed to implement it.

Hi Wayne,The music is quite distracting from the narration. It was hard to concentrate on you speaking.Don't follow the crowd. Pick music that aids in the presentation. My humble opinion. Thanks Wayne.

+pcfxr4u Thanks, I'll either lower the volume or forget it altogether. I do find it adds a bit more interest in videos I watch on RUclips though.

Interest? The choice of music should always enhance the listening experience. It should not get in the way. I use it in every training video.

If you pull down the human vocal range in the music's EQ it will help with the issue immensely, without the direct perception of changing the music, your voice will simply be more audible.

Hi Wayne, check your spelling before you post. "Bear" with me...bare with me would mean, let's get naked together, I'm certain not what you meant. Also, let's chalk that up too being awfully depressed about losing that equipment. Was the stuff in the trunk, or in the actual vehicle in view? Who knows that you keep the stuff in the car?LG

+pcfxr4u Auto correct!!! Don't bare with me please!! :-) Yes in the car, out of sight. A scanner was used to open; no sign of damage at all.

Very sad to hear this. Have a 3rd party alarm installed with a separate backup battery.
That way, even a bypass scanner will not defeat it. Also, perhaps you can work in concert with the authorities to bring the critters back and catch them on a 2nd go round...
I think it's someone or somebodies that know you and what you do.
In any event, I hope you can recover from the financial hit.
