This was EXACTLY what I was looking for! I had no idea what Samara town looked like and now I do. Thank you so much! We used to go to Mal Pail every year for almost 8 years. Now, after many years, we need some sun and want to go back to Costa Rica. Samara sounded perfect to us, quiet but with everything we might need. We'll both have our covid vaccines completed so we want to come to Samara in April. Really looking forward to it and thank you so much for your great videos!
Definitely come check out Samara and book a stay with us! Www.seacasasamara.com
Hi guys, I was actually there volunteering with CREAR all summer and I think saw you around town frequently. I was missing Sámara and finding this video brought back lots of nice memories and familiar faces! Thanks guys!
Went there last week and absolutely loved Samara! My husband and I decided that if we were to retire in Costa Rica; that would be the place. We’ve been living almost three years in Costa Rica, so far... our favorite place!
We had dinner at Dolce Vita on the beach, lunch at Frank’s, and breakfast (twice) at Roots Bakery; best breakfast so far in all Costa Rica! Best cinnamon rolls around the country!!!
Yes definitely the best north American breakfast around
This made me so homesick. Been in Texas for a bit and can’t wait to get back to Samara! Hope to see you around town.
Feliz Navidad y feliz ano nuevo!
Travel is open and Samara is back to somewhat normal
Thank you for showing a little of my beautiful country 🇨🇷. Bless you guys! Greetings from Connecticut 🇺🇸⚘
Thanks for watching and it is a very beautiful country! Come home and visit us in samara
@@TheDufresnes Thank you very much, I hope to visit my beautiful Tiquicia soon.
👍🙂
Just want to say (as a fellow Canadian btw) that your editing skills are amazing. I wish I had those skills!
Thank you very much and thanks for watching!
I’m from Costa Rica but live in Vancouver! People is so friendly down there unlike Vancouver. This youtubers seem very friendly too! My mom in central Pacific is selling a beautiful peace of land for about $100.000 in case someone is interested!!!
Thanks for watching, that's cool you live in Vancouver, close to our old home of Kelowna. My brother still lives in Vancouver, Vancouver is friendlier than Kelowna
TheDufresnes wow! I’m very happy that everywhere I comment on RUclips people give me all the info I need. Last time I commented on something and a Canadian guy replied saying that I could also try living in Calgary, Toronto or even Montreal or Quebec ( people might be friendly there) I also wanted to say that My mom in central pacific is selling a land for $100.000. Do u know any place where I could post the land ? I have not met any Canadian who might want to live in Costa Rica but I would love to talk to people about it bc I consider is very cheap... thank u! There is nothing I have to warn u about Costa Rica. The only thing is that be aware with those ignorants ticos who like to take advantage of Tourists bc they think that people from Canada or USA or Europe have a lot of money ( which is not true bc I have friends who study on Schorlarship, don’t own a house and are very poor). Try to meet ticos who have lived abroad or a ticos who travels ( they are more open minded).
We have lived here for three years now and have not had any ticos try to rip us off. Where is your mom's land located?
Hi guys, excellent presentation of the benefits of visiting Samara. I wish you many successes.
Thank you!
I love the beach and surfing but what else is there to do? looks pretty basic.Go to the beach, get a beer and go to sleep 😂
Go idea with the shipping containers. Solves construction issue with local rip off builders
There is soccer, martial arts, all sorts of activities now
I am planning to retire in another couple of years from now but I am planning to visit you guys I am Olsenwilliams I I live in one of the Caribbean island which is Barbados Bridgetown thank you all keep up the good work and the video coming Thank you guys
Thanks for watching, good choice to retire here
Great video, always a pleasure watching your videos, hope everything is going well for you guys ✌️👍
Thanks for watching! We need more people to come enjoy Sea Casa and Samara. Tell your friends! 😁
TheDufresnes yes I will definitely spread the word,I’m heading to Europe for the month of September, hopefully I can get to C.R. early next year, pura vida mi hermano 🤘🏻
We are from Ontario, Canada. We would like to eventually move down to Costa Rica. We are in the research process right now. Any information would be much appreciated. Not sure what area to check out.
Keep watching our videos, there is a lot of info on our channel and we replied to your email.
Thank you for sharing you information.
Awesome! A group of us(14 friends) will be visiting next July!
Cool, we have 2 rentals and they each sleep four. Some of you should come stay with us!
What is best way to pay for things there? Debit, credit or cash? Thanks for this video.
Credit and cash
@@TheDufresnes Thank you. We are thinking of coming in December and staying until March 2022. We will get back to you guys for sure :)
We were there last May and loved it. Best little Italian restaurant there. Pura Vida
Where? Mama Gui?
@@TheDufresnes That is the one. Thanks. They made their own pasta. Fresh beef pollo throughout Costa Rica. It is not high production like North America.
Yes we actually do work with Mama Gui, we shoot all the photos of Gigios food and Shayna takes care of his social media. The food is amazing! Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you. small world. Very nice folks
Next time come stay with us at Sea Casa
Hello Chris & Shayna! Which flight route from the northern hemisphere do you suggest to travel to your property? From Canada, did you fly to San Jose then made your way to the west coast (Samara)? Is your closest domestic airport in Nosara? Thank you!
We flew into the international airport in Liberia, it's only an hour and 45 mins away. The airport in nosara is the closest domestic airport yes. We can set up private shuttles from Liberia or San Jose as well.
40188 views come on people it is free to subscribe, these people are really trying to show us what it,s like to live there. thank you for the video,s

Hi I enjoy watching your videos and I am am a fan of you guys however I need you to keep me updated with what is happening in coast Rica
Keep watching and you'll stay updated
My wife and I bought residency in Panama about a year ago then went to Costa Rica and fell in love with the place. I've read that to obtain residency in Costa Rica we would need to buy property worth $200 000. Is that permanent residency with the option to obtain citizenship later or merely a one year visa that has to be constantly renewed?
Thanks for watching, yes that would be the investers residency. You get it for 2 years and have to renew every 2 years with the option to obtain citizenship after 3 years.
Here is our video on residency ruclips.net/video/1kT5meDKyi4/видео.html
Could you recommend some tasty restaurants? Thank you
We have a lot of restaurant videos on our channel, and if you come and stay with us at Sea Casa we a have a book full of recommendations
@@TheDufresnes great, thx👌
Hi I like your videos you are very thorough with the information you provide. I do have a few questions...Guillermo
Thank you and glad you enjoy the videos. We are about to do a whole series of answering questions people have asked so feel free to list them off on here and we'll be sure to include them in one of our videos
Guys do you have a Puerto Carrillo video I just found you today ?
There is not much to film there but it's a good idea, I will film one this week and have it up on the weekend
Please do it I love that beach
We have filmed at the beach numerous times here's from our visual vacation playlist

SAMARA,красивый город
Observé en este vídeo cerca del Banco Nacional un supermercado Palí, que es de los más económicos en precio del país y pertenecen a la cadena de supermercados de Walmart.
I'm looking for a place in Costa rica to settle in....what made the difference for to stay hare....I'm also looking at Playa Hermosa
Which Playa Hermosa? Near Coco or Jaco?
Great video. Is it safe to walk the streets at night?
In town we have never had a problem. Stay where it's lit and don't walk the beach at night. Use common sense as you would anywhere.
Close to Liberia or by Nacascolo, Culebra, or Iguanita
Did you see our video from when we visited there in our first week in Costa Rica?
What is the best way to get to samara from liberia airport?
We can set up a shuttle for you, we can book it for you. Come stay with us at Sea Casa www.seacasasamara.com 😊
love Samara
Hello,
My husband and I are wanting to invest in Costa Rica, we would like to connect with you for pricing if we were to contract you for 5 containers. Please let us know the best way to reach you. Thanks!
Thanks for reaching out, email us at chrisdufresne34@gmail.com
Do you know if there ist fishing Shop in Samara?
There is a small one in the super las olas
There is a new tackle shop outside of Samara now
Is there a gym in town?
Yes, there are 2 at this time and another one is being built
How are the schools?
Our boys went to mareas private school and it was excellent, unfortunately because of covid we had to take them out
@@TheDufresnes thank you so much for replying to my message. I'm actually online looking for houses to rent. This is so confusing!! Our 7 year old daughter is priority and every video is different.
Yes our kids were a priority when choosing where to live, we looked at playas del Coco because they have the lakeside school which is great but far out of town, Playa guiones has a school too, Del Mar Academy. it's expensive, far out of town and very clicky which we were escaping, here in samara the school is close, the principal and teachers are great and caring and they have a good facility now. I'm hoping the pandemic doesn't force them to close the doors.
Check out this video we did with our boys ruclips.net/video/pimMYI-oEB8/видео.html
@@TheDufresnes thank you!!! I'm reading about CRIA in Liberia right now. This seems like a great school too. Are you familiar with this school?
Hey "machos", great vids/and a sweet setup, nicest container conversions of all cyberspace. There is something though...it's the use of "Pura Vida" in greetings. It seems that everyone from Samara to La Fortuna uses it, and it sounds kinda "Touristy". To set yourselves apart and sound more local, try the following alternatives to spice up your "Ticospeak".
"¡Tuanis!" (TOO-AH-nees)
"¿Qiubo?" (Kee-OOH-boh).
"¿Que Pasò?/¿Pasò?" (Kay Pah-SO/Pah-SO).
"¡Toda!" (TO-dah).
It's not touristy at all, a lot of our tico and tica friends say pura Vida as well as people we meet in other towns and even San Jose
"Machos"? Sorry...last time I checked, I wasn't a male. Also, if you spent enough time here and in many of the areas of Costa Rica you would notice that pretty much every place, beach town OR city even uses the phrase "Pura Vida". It is way more of a local phrase than a tourist phrase like you claim to be knowledgeable about. Rarely do you hear "tuanis", unless it's the local surfers speaking to each other or others passing by...and in 3 years of being in many different places we have never heard the other phrases that you mention. Regardless, talking about phrases people say or "should" say is a bit silly. Speak how you feel comfortable speaking, no one is here to try and be a certain way by the terms that they use in order to set themselves apart from being a tourist or a local.
right on, Shayna! Nice video. We met earlier this year.; I'm Canadian too and live in Samara, just down the street from you (Las Palmeras). I'm looking forward to getting back to my home away (once the scientists and doctors get this (fake (?!) Covid under control, lol!!
, when you have both sexes present you use the masculine plural...Real Academia de la Lengua Española rules.
@@shaynadufresne , variety makes for more local sounding language, but if you"re fine with using the same phrase, that's fine too.
Could you send me more information? Private message. I am going to Costa Rica after pandemic season. I miss Samara.
Need prices of your rental cabins they look pretty spacious
