Can we all kindly take a moment to appreciate John obi Mikel, you can agree he’s bringing us way closer to the unfiltered life of footballers and coaches. Thank you Skippo!
This podcast is like a message to the new regime about what Chelsea is over the years ,we don't care about project ,we are winners, either ugly or beautiful football, just win and get a trophy or two at the end of the season,I am very sure the current players are watching this as a source of motivation
There’s nothing that makes me more happy than this. I love Chelsea more then my own life so seeing all these legends comeback and John obi lead it all warms my heart top men all around 💙
Wow Mikel training alone for 6 months for representing the Nigerian Olympic team?! And even paying for player's welfare and accomodations. Then going on to win the bronze 🥉 medal. Wow! Mikel you deserve every good thing that comes your way and even more. We the Nigerian citizens appreciate your dedication, passion and contributions. God bless your good heart Skippo! 🩵
This is podcast is so wild for the last generation of fans. I remember early 90s we were a bit up n down, but that year Hoddle came, brought Gullit, & within a very short period our beloved Chelsea was transforming into a dominant team. Not what we saw with Roman; but the foundations had been laid, by Wise, Clarkey, Luca, Roberto, Leboeuf, Zola, Marcel etc, top notch pro’s leading the charge for the next generation. Thanks Zola, for everything, we love you. 💙 #GotPlentyOfHistory #Carefree
I like how the host just goes smooth with the questions. Love the chemistry between you two. I cant wait to see African legends like Essien, Drogba, Adebayor, Eto, Asamoah Gyan etc
OBI ONE Podcast actually came when we needed the solidarity and love for Chelsea again despite the challenges we are facing. This is the best time and I hope the players when they have the time should listen to this. This will give them them the perspective of what this club is and the culture and where we should be. I love this…this is igniting and a wake up motivation for all Chelsea fans. I hope someday they interview Boehly and Egbahli. I love this podcast.
I remember being five years old when I first saw zola play for chelsea, took my dad to the charity game against bayern a couple months ago and seeing Zola with the flick assist, the crowd roaring when he stood up, made me and my dad almost cry with joy
Deffo Obi is a legend in football and he's able to draw in big player's to interview... Zola was my favorite Chelsea player and he learnt from the likes of Maradona...💙💙💙
Weldon John great work, bringing us closer to the Legends. Here's a suggestion, some of the younger generations sometimes get lost when you guys talk about great highlight moments, it would be awesome to play some of the clips.
As an ardent Chelsea Football Club fan and a thoroughbred Nigerian, I cannot express enough how proud I am of Mikel Obi and The Obi One Podcast! #UTC #CFC 💙
I fell in love with this club when I watched the final in 1998 against Stuttgart and watching Zola. 25 years later I am still loving this club and Zola is the reason for it.
A select few may remember the ‘Zola Power’ section of the 1998/99 season VHS. Had that on repeat as a child. What a legend. Such a classy player and gentlemen. Thank you Gianfranco! Legend!
The Italian Magician #25 when Gianfranco Zola played it was like watching art and magic. This was before Hazard. Before J Cole. The fact that Chelsea signed him at the time they did was incredible. What's your top 5 Gianfranco Zola moments at Chelsea?
Thank you Obi for having Zola on the podcast. I don't know how you can top this episode. absolute legend and one of the greatest to pull a Chelsea shirt on.
Franco was and is the best all round gentleman in football but one moment will always stay with me was a game where he was substituted and received a standing ovation from both sets of supporters, he is alongside Kante my absolute best Chelsea player(s)
Zola Power! The Chelsea GOAT I wish you asked him about the USA 94 red card in the game against Nigeria, the Euro 96 penalty miss or the goal against England in the run-up to the 98 world cup(I still don't know why he wasn't in the 98 squad). I wished he had more success in the Italian national team. I have so many memories watching the great "25" (Caicedo better shape up or take off the jersey number)
John PLEASE bring me Eden Hazard, he’s the reason I love football & I really started to watch football properly once I fell in love with hazard, he’s my football idol, I would love to see him on here🙏🏼
Zola was the reason I started to support Chelsea. I remember the Cup winners cup victory in 1997. Autoglass sky blue jersey. Zola was the real deal, exceptionally gifted
A lot of kids when growing up playing football in the streets, the best ones will always have a Zola nickname ❤ Legend, you will be surprised how many people have Zola nickname in Africa especially Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
Chris asked where is Kanu now?...This is why he should be a guest on the show. Because he currently is the Chairman of the most successful Nigerian men's club #EnyimbaFC and he recently secured them a shirt sponsor literally months after being announced as the new Chairman for Enyimba FC
I know it is additional work , and there may be copyright issues to sort out, but the details of these video interviews will be more enriched if you cut in some of the reference highlights like Zola's technical goal and so on
For real. He is. I didn't expect him to go this route but it seems natural and organic because he loves the game & enjoys football conversations. Amazing mate!
I was at that charity tribute Vialli game in September. Zola came on with four minutes to go and assisted with two goals. Absolute legend! And yesh,Obi was spot on. Zola simply stood up and we all lost it. Wow!
This Podcast came up at a time whereby the current Chelsea players in my view tapped inspiration. Cos they have been improving since this podcast. Maybe, just maybe they listened to constructive analyses. Well done John.
As a lifelong Chelsea fan these podcasts are just amazing

Bring Essien
The greatest Chelsea player ever at Stamford bridge. Zola never disappointed.
Zola is the reason I started support chelsea. It was a pleasure when he came back as a coach. It didn't matter to me that it was so short
The BEST Chelsea podcast by far! By legends on the club, it could not be any better. Just hoping for Drogba and Hazard and maybe even Mata as guests!
There’s nothing that makes me more happy than this. I love Chelsea more then my own life so seeing all these legends comeback and John obi lead it all warms my heart top men all around 💙

Maradonas understudy in Napoli. Very skilful, deft touches great free kicks, great dribbles

The greatest. That goal in the FA Cup semi-final! Genius
A select few may remember the ‘Zola Power’ section of the 1998/99 season VHS. Had that on repeat as a child. What a legend. Such a classy player and gentlemen. Thank you Gianfranco! Legend!

Loved Zola growing up.. what a player. Absolute magician 🪄
Pls add the highlights of these Legends as the show goes on. Get a big screen in there and make things more alive😊
Gianfranco will always be my number one. Legend in every sense.
Brilliant , just brilliant , really makes my week,
I didn't watch Zola play for Chelsea back then we didn't have electricity or a tv but we used to listen to football on my dad's radio
The man who made me love football and become a chelsea fan as a 6 year old, annoying all the arsenal fans in my family. True legend
May you continue to grow. I love this podcast 💯
Chris asked where is Kanu now?...This is why he should be a guest on the show. Because he currently is the Chairman of the most successful Nigerian men's club #EnyimbaFC and he recently secured them a shirt sponsor literally months after being announced as the new Chairman for Enyimba FC
