- This episode is Venus in Johnson County. Originally called Gossip, Venus is a beautiful little town sitting at the intersection of State Highway 67 and Farm Road 157, Venus appears to be destined to be a happening place to live. The town has new single family home neighborhoods popping up and new modern apartment complexes are rising up from the fields. Everything is looking good for Venus.

Thanks, David!
I lived in Venus until I was close to 6 years old. We had to move out of our house because it was haunted as shit and we lived on cursed native lands. Even with all the scary shit I went through there, I love Venus - there’s something special about the night sky there.
Would really love to visit your old house!
Great video. I grew up about a mile south of town. My mom is still there and my brother is CPL Thomas Hilbert. I moved away in 2007.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I was very happy and proud to feature your brother's memorial in downtown. I make it a point to highlight those whenever I can. Thank you for watching.
Great video! I grew up 5 miles south but went to school in Venus. That house wasn’t the haunted one but I have always been intrigued by it. I haven’t been back in years but I need to check out CPL Hilbert’s Memorial. I still remember him as the little kid on the bus! Hard to believe he’s already been gone for almost 15 years.
Thank you. Unfortunately.... The house has been completely leveled now. You can't even tell a house was even there. So... which house WAS the haunted house of Venus?
They tore that house down
I grew up in Venus, my grandpa owned the wrecking yard that is still there. I went to elementary school there.
Liea!!!

Yes!!
So cute
I live in Venus and I’ve been inside that house before some years back , it has very old books and a spiral staircase leading up to a bedroom with a bed and a nightstand. The house fell down after a storm not to long after this video was uploaded, sad to see it go
I consider you a lucky person. From the moment I saw that house, I fell in love with it. So mysterious looking. I would have given anything to have had the chance to go in there. I saw that the back half had fallen down and the rest remained for a while. Went by there a month or so ago to check up on it and saw that it was completely gone. No sign of it at all. Sad. It was a beautiful home.
When it starts at old town thats venus
Would have loved to have seen it when it was all new and thriving. I'll bet things will turn around there as LOTS of people are moving there. New complete neighborhoods and apartment complexes are popping up.
@DustyWingsProductions yea it's growing, new housing going up several places around outskirts...
🤘
That's the school I go to
I live in Venus
How old are you I used to live there
I live there right now. How old are you?
I live there now how old are y’all
Boo that looks like Grandview tx not venus tx
A lot of these small towns can look alike. However, I invite you to watch my very first Small Town, Texas episode which actually IS Grandview, and you'll find the differences. Enjoy.
That is grandview, I get my propane at first of video cross tracks . Rowletts hardware on left. I'm in Alvarado next to venus now
