I'm a 50 year old man... and I'm pretty sure I cried more than you did.
Probably because I had to wait 43 years to finally see Jedi MASTER Skywalker.
Yup, I waited over 35 years for it myself. The longer the wait, the stronger the feels on this episode. I don't normally watch reaction videos, but I had to watch as many as I could for this episode as though I get to share my joy with everyone else. I'm glad you got to see it after 43 years. It will be tough for them to top this in the next season.
@@jamesfears83 Same. Been watching a ton of these reactions. I'm pretty sure the sequel trilogy will be rewritten. I just hope it doesn't take another 40 years.
@@unsettledonpurpose - If Kathleen Kennedy gets her way, they will rewrite all the originals...
- Vader: No... I am your father.
- Luke: No, that's not true. That's impossible!
- Vader: But I identify as your mother.
- Luke: Nnnnooooooooooooo!!!
@@Mr.Ekshin LOL, but at least they'll revise their "The Force is female" campaign, decide that's not true and have Schmee sue the Force for child support.
@@unsettledonpurpose - Just wait... they will start referring to the force and its wielders using the pronouns 'ze', 'zir', and 'zem'.
I swear I think there is something wrong with me. I cry every single time I watch this episode when Luke shows up, every single time. And I've seen it dozens of times.
Same here.
Don’t fret. There’s nothing wrong with you.
It's more likely that shows that something is RIGHT with you.
It's more something has been wrong and you're just now able to see how it can be right again.
I actually think that there is something wrong with me because I cried again just watching this again...I didnt think I could cry anymore...its just a show...why am I crying
Imagine what that was like for those of us who grew up on Luke Skywalker in the original trilogy. May the Force be with you, young lady.
Im 45 and I waited literally decades to see this version of Luke! It was especially satisfying considering the absolute failure of the sequels in the way they depicted Luke. This was Star Wars at its best!
37 years is such an immense length of time to finally see a continuation of something like this.
That’s me, I grew up with Star Wars and it infuriated me to no end how they treated Luke in the sequel trilogy. I watched the movies, played the video games, read the old EU books. Luke deserved better and seeing him as he was meant to be made me very happy.
@@justhereforkicks8208 I want Kyle and jade. I want Jedi knights, and the Jedi academy so much. And I trust these guys to so it right.
I'm now 51,52 in May and I've been waiting to see Luke as a Jedi Master for 37 yrs this was whay us fans have been wanting Luke to be especially when there could have been a trilogy right after Jedi,we needed to see our favorite hero in action after Jedi we could have had 3 more films with the legend Mark Hamill whether it was about the Yuuzan Vong war or his life meeting Mara Jade his wife there could have been alot more stories to do and we lost out on it but we got a piece of what we needed in this series and this could be the last time we see Mark Hamill as Luke before they probably will recast the character but there will always be only one Luke Skywalker for me and thats Mark Hamill, I was 8 when I saw Star Wars in the theater a week or so after my birthday and 14 when I saw Return of the Jedi in the theater I hope and pray the character will live on and will always watch but in my heart I will always see Mark's face no matter what actor is aging the character thats why to me I'd rather see them deepfake the face for as long as they can while we still have Mark around I feel once Mark isn't with us no longer then u can recast but while he is breathing no one deserves to play that character im sorry but did u see all the reaction videos at the time of this episodes first viewings fans and new fans were weaping and why were they because it was Luke Skywalker and when we saw Mark's face thats when it hit us,all of the love and all the hope we had for this character came finally to fruition its what we fans wanted to see after Jedi, to see Luke as what we know as the the most powerful Jedi Master ever.
Last Jedi: "What, did you think I was gonna charge in with my laser sword and save the day?"
Mandalorian: *Charges in with laser sword and saves the day*
It is a light saber
/WHOOSH
The fact that Luke does EXACTLY what TLJ make fun of him for suggesting shows that Favreau and his side of Lucasfilm are listening to the fans.
It also makes the line in TLJ make no sense at all. If Jake Skywalker already charged in with his lightsaber and saved the day before, why couldn't he do it again?
@@orlandomoyah4064 Never understood calling it "light Saber", I mean..its a straight blade not curved. The proper name must be "light Sword".
@@kikebautista2110 Nice one
Wonderful reaction. This was honestly the greatest Star Wars thing in 37 years. I still can't put into words how I felt when I saw that green lightsaber. It's everything we could have wanted.
I forgot how to breathe for about 30 or so seconds when i saw that
Favreau and Filoni are freaking GENIUSES. Putting all the obvious cape, the lightsaber, the glove, and they knew people wouldn't believe this is Luke until he reveals his face.
I was like you, showing little to no emotion until he reveals his face and there you know it's him and you burst into tears, it's just wonderful. I love this so much.
"They're blessing us with all of this shit." Couldn't have put it any better myself. Best. Leo.
It's only a blessing if John Favreau and Dave Filoni are the ones to continue this and the new stuff. If it's kathleen kennedy and her gang then forget about it.
Then, there is the fact...all roads still lead to the disney trilogy... to the last jedi and rise of skywalker!
@@ar47yrr4p They will be. Kennedy would never on her life have allowed them to do the things they've done, especially bringing back Luke like this. Kennedy's main goal was to destroy Luke's image and legend, and even suggesting what they just did would have gotten Favreau and Filoni fired on the spot if Kennedy were in charge. Favreau's authority as the showrunner comes straight from Iger and Chapek, Disney's chairman and CEO, respectively, and this was done for a reason. Kennedy will have her chance to fight back with her own Disney+ _Star Wars_ series. It's Disney (Iger, Chapek, Favreau) versus Lucasfilm (Kennedy) for the future of _Star Wars_ .
I hope the Disney board of directors are shown all these reaction videos of the Mandalorian. If they come away with anything from it, it should be Kathleen Kennedy and her story group should never be allowed anywhere near a Star Wars property again. Do you want fans crying with joy over your product, or disappointed and disgusted? Its only money right?
I've never been a huge fan of Star wars I'm more of a Star Trek guy I've seen the movies and liked them but the mandalorian has put it over the top it's all ready one of the best tv shows to ever been made!
I still wouldn't put it past the brain trust at Disney and the once great but now defunct Lucasfilm to ruin everything. But so far, so good. Let's just hope it stays that way.
You know your old when you're watching someone and they say "when I was a kid" and you say out loud "When you was a kid? You're still a kid" 🤦♂️
She's like the age of Luke when Han was calling him kid. 🙃
@@davec3651 😃
idk shes perhaps old enough to remember some of the prequels.
Yeah, my thought was "So, yesterday?"
That didn’t come to my 51-year-old mind. I’m a first time viewer of her channel. I’m guessing she’s in her middle 20s.
I think I’ll start considering People on in that age as kids when I’m over 70.
Everyone who cried here thumbs up lol...I sure did
Kathleen Kennedy: _THIS_ is Star Wars. Not the crap you've been peddling for five years, _THIS_ !!!
You think she cares? She will part ways once the contract ends and over the course of her career made enough money to buy billions of Star Wars fans tears which she consumes for sustenance. I bet she smiles when someone writes a hit piece on her. She frames it in gold and hangs it up on her wall of "sadness". The wall is full so she will probably need to expand it.
@@obe22099 Sadly, no. She probably doesn't care.... And that's the problem.
From the future and sad to report......KK fired Cara!!!!!
Only I'd she cared....
Aww...i loved your reaction. Welcome to the tears we've all shed at seeing that moment with Luke and R2. Honestly this show has renewed my love in Star Wars.
I saw this episode. It's called The Rescue. It's the one where Luke rescues Star Wars from KK.

I love your reaction to Luke. You made me cry with you. Then Din shows his face to Grogu. Then along comes R2!
Finally, Boba Fett. The look of shock/surprise/excitement was priceless.
"Talent without training is nothing."
Did you hear that, Rey?!
More like, "You hear that, Kennedy?!"
Awww... Hi Larissa! I absolutely LOVE your genuine, emotional reactions. You're not afraid to wear your heart on your sleeve. And that makes you relatable. It gives you grace.
Never change love! ❤
CHEERS!
I cried also, Luke has been and always will be my favorite character of all time not just Star Wars then to see him meet Mando who I rank near the top is so satisfactory.
It is truly adequate.
Satisfying 😁
A missed opportunity. As Luke is walking away, The Mandalorian should have reached into his pocket and pulled out the knob. One last game of catch with the kid.
And yeah, I think that knob was made of pure beskar. And it would be just enough to make the handle for a lightsaber.
It was but I think it is being saved for an even bigger opportunity. I wouldn't mind seeing Grogu use it like Yondu's Yaka arrow :)
How to tell the true fans of the old Star Wars from the rest: Did you uncontrollably tear up or cry when Luke appeared? Yes= true fan. Congrats, welcome to the club.
I was 7 years old when I saw Episode IV in the theater. I really didn't comprehend the complexity of the story at that time. By the time Empire came out, I had watched the original movie at least a dozen times and had as many of the toys as my parents were willing to supply me with. Luke was my hero. Seeing him as the CGI of young Mark Hamill sent a tidal wave of emotion that could only happen by this type of circumstance. Your childhood hero sealed away and baked for the better part of 40 years. He shows up in his X-Wing, makes quick work of a platoon of overpowered Darktroopers. I could not have imagined a more satisfying way for Grogu to part ways with Mando.
- "Are you a Jedi?"
- "I am the Jedi" 😉
Mandalorian finale versus sleep. She chooses the Mandalorian finale. You have chosen wisely, milady.
How can you tell a true Star Wars fan? Sit them down to watch the last 20 mins of this episode & watch the emotions. I'm 50 now & have been waiting for this moment since 1983. I've watched the episode a dozen times & the last 20 mins twice that. I've also watched over 20 other reactors watching this episode & every time i still get the emotions. I'm pleased to see that just about everybody else does too. Boba Fett is also my favourite character. He's always been a bad ass in the books & comics & now they've finally done justice to him in live action & i can't wait for his series. Hoping now for my favourite character from the Clone Wars cartoon Asajj Ventress makes it into the Ahsoka show at the least. Yes before anyone comments i know they killed her in a book but she wouldn't be the first Sith Assassin/Apprentice to come back from the dead, Darth Maul i'm looking at you here. I also think she's be a perfect candidate to rescue Grogu during Order 66. She's a trained infiltrator & last time she was seen on screen she was helping Ahsoka so they could have become friends over the years. So it's plausible that she could have done the rescue & being a bounty hunter by this time the clones may just have ignored her anyway.
My opinion on this, the reactors all tearing up and cheering simultaneously whenever it is they see/realize its Luke Skywalker are definitely TRUE fans.
And of course there are waterworks for that tender parting moment and then the nostalgia hit again with R2D2 showing up. Yeah fan service, but of the highest caliber and I enjoyed every moment of it!!!!
Well done!!!! 🤗❤✌
Hehe. I'm 51 and I saw Star Wars in the theaters, so I grew up with the original trilogy. As soon as I saw that X-Wing I got chills, and thought "Holy shit! Are they going there?!?!". Then the green lightsaber got the tears going. That whole last part of the episode was just tears and chills and deep breaths. THAT was my Star Wars!
Let me answer your question about what we thought in the 80's :) I do remember many people thinking that it was odd for SW to be Episode IV. People always asked: "What happened to Episodes I-III? Why start at IV?" "How many episodes are we getting?" Then I remember reading in one of the Sci-Fi mags (I think it was Starlog - circa 81-82 ) that Lucas originally planned 9 parts. He wanted to do exactly what came to pass, the original trilogy, then the prequels, then the last trilogy. I remember thinking back then that there was a lot of SW films yet to come. BUT, after the Return of the Jedi time just started to pass... Lucas seemed to be involved in a LOT of things... none of them actually Star Wars movies. So I get why people didn't have high expectations of those movies ever getting made. When you're used to seeing a new movie every 3-4 years then nothing comes for almost 2 decades, you start to lose faith.
Mark Hamill tweeted about the appearance of Luke day after episode released on Disney+. He knew of Luke's appearance for over a year when he, Jon and Dave were in planning stages for Season 2. They used a body double (Max Lloyd-Jones, British actor), and have CGI software superimposed younger face of Mark on Max's. But Mark did dubbed his lines for this episode.
Can I just give a shoutout to the score? Because the music during Luke's scene was absolutely _amazing._ It started dark, and mysterious, potentially ominous...then every time we saw something new, it grew a little more powerful and hopeful...then in the elevator it mixed in just a hint of the darktrooper theme, and then, as Luke gets his very own incredible hallway scene, the music is pure hope and celebration...and segues perfectly into Luke's Theme as he lowers his hood.
John Williams is a legend, and nobody will ever replace him, but I think Ludwig Goransson could well be a worthy successor.
I just love Star Wars fans. This was one of the best finales I've ever seen. I was 5 in 1977 and have been watching every Star Wars thing with all you other great fans. This was just really amazing. And Larissa, your reaction is one of the best on RUclips. Really amazing to get to rewatch this with you. Thank you!
One second after you started crying I cried along with you. I loved your honest reaction and that you’re not worried about showing your emotions.
Good morning.
I am someone who saw Star Wars (which later got the Episode IV subtitle) movie in the theaters as a youngster.
I remember George Lucas giving an interview where he spoke of the planned episodes and that he wanted our heroes back for 7, 8 and 9 "...if they are old enough." This told us that he envisioned quite a gap in time to occur in-universe between 6 and 7.
When he sold the company to Disney, he turned over to them his documentation for what he wanted as 7, 8 and 9.
Disney Inc., threw those in the trash in their short-sighted greed to keep all the money for themselves going forward.
I don't know if I would've liked what George had planned but I am certain it would've been better than what Disney gave us.
I, and many Original Trilogy fans, agree with David L and Jamie Sleeman in the comments section for this reaction video:
The basis for movies 7, 8 and 9 should've been Timothy Zahn's novels 'Heir to the Empire', 'Dark Force Rising' and 'The Last Command'.
I have hope that Filoni bringing Grand Admiral Thrawn into the mix may indeed be leading us in the direction of those three novels or, at the very least, something faithful to the spirit of them.
This is about the 10th time I’ve had my eyes leak while watching various reveals, yes I’m a male 70 yr boomer
Im 43 and this is probably the 12 time I cried watching reactions
@@orlandomoyah4064 47 and I'm with you, brothers.

Lol! So glad to see so many fans happy
Larissa Zeeuwe we are with you seeing luke come back. I am 45 and i am happy to see them give luke the repect he deserves
Some details at the opening when Slave 1 was flying over the planet before 1:29 you could see Republic logos on the buildings (Republic before the Empire) maybe the Empire still used them or forgot about them. You could also see a Kom'rk class fighter outside which was a Mandalorian fighter and troop transporter seen in the Clone Wars and Rebels. On the topic of Boba Fett being a Mandalorian his Father Jango was but Boba has never stated that he himself is a Mandalorian. Bo fought along side Clone Troopers in the siege of Mandalore right at the end of the Clone Wars Boba himself being a Clone. I also love that Boba calls Bo "Princess" he is royalty and Boba appears to know this so he does have an understanding of Mandalorian history. I was honest expecting Thrawn to appear at the very end dropping out of Hyperspace in a Imperial 1 class Star Destroyer while a New Republic fleet jumps in led by Red 5 himself Luke Skywalker but it makes a lot more sense that Luke would've should up alone at this point he was exploring the galaxy looking for Jedi temples anything Jedi related so he had no connection to the New Republic.
18:12 Even in 1983 people had no idea that 9 years later a book called Heir to the Empire would come out telling the story of the events after Return of the Jedi to them this was a massive surprise which over 3 years another two books would be released ending another trilogy "The Thrawn Trilogy" which to many people this was their Sequel trilogy. And also take into account these people had no idea about the Prequels Mark did talk about some sequel ideas Lucas had like him returning as an Obi wan type of character to teach the next generation of Jedi but no one was expecting a prequal story focused around young Darth Vader and his turn to the Dark side. Mark interview talking about Episode VII ruclips.net/video/4UGV7WVB-bA/видео.html
I can't wait till these shows come out. You should read the Thrawn trilogy. They are really excellent books.
The ORIGINAL Thrawn Trilogy too not the Disney sanctioned rehash. Mr Zahn's original product.
Oh yea, I have the Thrawn trilogy on Kindle, lol and I rarely read books
@Marko L1977 The EU is a great set of books. That gave us new stories in the late 80's and 90's. I refuse to call it legend. It gave Star Wars fans content when there were no movies. I agree with your statement whole hartedly.
I have to recommend The Darth Bane Trilogy! They are really great books. If you javen't read them. They are about the Sith lord that realized that there could be only 2 sith. One master and an apprintice to crave the power. Highly recommend! Also the set of books that have Jania and Jason Solo in them. Really great books! Any suggestions for me to read?
@Marko L1977 Thanks for the link!
I love how EVERYBODY is an emotional wreck after watching this. See this Kennedy? THIS is how it's done right!!!
But. . .but . . . "The Force is FEMALE"! (Yeah right.)
Oh wait, that's right, in 1977 the very 1ST "blockbuster" ever, didn't have ANY identity politics. Sure it HAD a "strong female character" in Leia, but it didn't shove the fact that it WAS a strong FEMALE character down your throat. It also didn't need to tear down the men around her to make her look better. They just made her a good character.
Also, the Good Guys were good & the Bad Guys were bad. (and not linked to any modern social or political leanings) Simple.
Amazing how that works. (probably all just a coincidence)
You do realize that Kathleen Kennedy had to OK this right? Favreau is the show runner, but she still is in charge of the company as a whole and absolutely had a hand in this happening.
@@AntiFigraFox Dream on. Kathleen Kennedy has a boss. His name in Bob Iger. He needs Disney+ to be a success. That means a show that fans relate to, not cramming identity politics down viewers throats. No running risks by pushing an, "improperly or, properly PC," agenda. If Kennedy is in any way in the decision loop, she had to rubber stamp an OK for, "The Mandalorian." She has also had to rubber stamp, "The Book of Boba Fett," and, "Ahsoka." If Disney+ does not deliver on those promises, subscriptions will drop. With Netflix and Amazon Prime, vying for the subscription viewers, not rubber stamping, would be questionable decision at best.
@@brantregare yeah, sure. Only old fashioned manly manstuff here. :)

@@jensscholz Nott disagreeing with on this one :) For me, it is about not pissing on the hand that feeds you. Manly man stuff? I do not care. The toxic fandom is not only male.
Actually in the 80s when I was a kid we heard that thing you dad said and we waited for the prequels in the novel of a new hope and other material the prequels storyline was known there is a description of the duel between obi wan and Vader that never made in into the movie , I waited 16 years for the prequels and another 10 years for sequels. Patients is a vertue
Would you believe those dark trooper droids were costumes? If not I HIGHLY recommend watching the Galaxy gallery behind the scenes show on how they filmed the mandalorian. IT'S AMAZING
In less than 1 hour...Jon and Dave gave fans what they had been deprived of for 37 years..."Peak Luke" - the massively powerful Jedi Master and legendary hero we had always been promised.
Jake Skywalker is gone! [erase the sequels]
They gave us back a hero...and Star Wars...that's one hell of a Christmas present!
I actually remember lining up in a big queue to enter the cinema to watch ‘A new hope’ in 1978. I was 9 years old. I can still remember the thrill of hearing the Star Wars theme for the first time...... instant and life long fan. When you are my age, with the technology that will be around in that future, those extra movies will have been made, probably all by CGI with fake original actors, and if made properly, will be indistinguishable from the originals and will blend seamlessly with them.
Season 2 made me as happy as I last was in 1983. I considered myself a lapsed Star Wars fan for a number of decades because "Meh". And then Jon Favreau decided to A) save Star Wars and B) Hand out so many goodies that not a single person deserves that much goodies after I considered myself a lapsed Star-Wars fan since 1999.
It was such a joy to watch you watching the final episode (tipping my hat for fathers who makes sure new generations grows up as cultured beings).
Due to some international rights issues, Disney+ came online 8 weeks before season 2 of Mandalorian premiered. So for 8 glorious weeks last fall I got up to speed with Mando and Grogu just as season 2 started.
After the 3 first episodes, I was feeling like "this is the most star wars'y feeling I have had since 1983 - they are gonna botch this for sure". Then they didn't. And then season 2 came on directly. Boba finally became as bad-ass as he was in my childhood mind. All sorts of totally epic things hit me weekly. Including introducing me to an animated girl I had just seen fan-art of in an episode damping with Akira Kurosawa for good measures. A gift that keeps giving for a little boy who came out of the cinema in 1977 - having witnessed something unimaginable.
Then this ending. At the age of 50 I went straight into denial at the single x-wing arriving. I was aware that there were some Jedi around in the animate things I never saw. Then my TV turned back to colour and the F-ing laser sword (to quote our Dad of the year) was green. My brain was already spinning with no way no way no way this show is gonna give us this lollipop after all the goodies it had delivered to a lapsed fan?
I came back to myself some minutes later, noticing that both my arms were pointing straight up. In awe of a show that not only took upon itself to save an entire galaxy and franchise - but also to remind us that my childhood hero is more than an old dude on depression meds not working at all. They effing restored Mark Hamil in the process. Without it feeling like they were just dishing out contrived fan-service. Glorious it is.
The big F's running shop over at Disney are making a middle-aged dude way happier than I deserve to be. Over in the Marvel corridors they are brewing up and sending out live-action high-concept comic-book stories now. With the same amount of much love, care and attention to detail.
But mostly - the rediscovery of the heart of Star Wars. What an archaeological discovery it is. After having watched Pedro Pascal act his last fibre of emotions through his helmet for 16 weeks straight - saying farewell to Grogu - just as R2D2 entered - another character originally given so much love and heart that entire generations of us fell in love with him instantly.
I do not care that CGI faces are unsettling. The showrunners were bleeding love when deciding that we all deserved to see Luke/Mark after slicing through and several corridors worth of baddies.
OK - I have spent way to much time inside my flat this year like everyone else. It has made me all mushy. I guess it has to do with me becoming uncle too - that pair of twins now 3 years old think uncle is the most bad-ass superhero in existence (possibly alongside Pippi Longstockings) and I miss to hang out with them to bits after a year of video-calls.
Heck, I just watched a stranger react to an old TV-episode before writing a massive thesis about it. Things are clearly not normal.
But Mando - they dropped the "this is the way" motto early. When Jon Favreau wrote this script - I was not ready for him meaning it this literally. Luke Skywalker travelling corridors without breaking a sweat to pick up a child from a man turned into dad. Hell yes - that is the way. It was always the way.
A final rational PS. As we see in Mandalorian - the high-executive politics undercover princesses and Jedi stuff we see becoming the later trilogies - people on the ground are really not aware of it. Aside from Ashoka, it is basically only Kuiil who has heard legends about force-people (+ Muff Gideon/Imperial remnants). It reminds me of why I liked Rogue One. The heart of Star-Wars is surprisingly grounded when we give it a thought. Mando - being a total star-wars noob (in effect - "laser swords" anyone?) - he is our man on the ground. He is our Frodo and Sam. Meeting Frog-lady and her husband (with some unfortunate snacking habits of Grogu). Even the culture of the Mandalors is all over the place on the ground. Homeschooled Mando thinks anyone taking their helmet off is fake news. Bo Katan thinks Boba is fake news. Nobody on the ground gives an F about galactic politics. If we keep Bill Burr's character out of it. That is an ex-soldier being pissed off at the bigger events.
Boy am I ranting. Sorry about that. It was fun to rewatch this episode with you.
Watched a lot of these reaction videos. Yours is one of the more sincere videos out there. Nicely done! Sign me… an original Star Wars fan, in his fifties, from the state of Oregon. 😎
Your reaction and excitement and enthusiasm has made a very stressful day turn to a very happy emotional day ❤️ May The Force Be With You
Luke has the only green lightsaber. Of course it’s him. Plus the black glove. Seeing Mark Hamill again just brings back memories from the Return of the Jedi which is the last time we saw him this way
she is so adorable!

The Mandalorian season 3, i cant wait! Awesome reaction Larissa! 😊👍🏻❤
To paraphrase Obi Wan Kenobi:
"I just felt a disturbance in the Force...as if Star Wars fans across the generations suddenly cried out...in joy."
Luke's return was that of a legend, a true hero. He may not be the hero we deserved, but he is the hero we needed.
I could talk hours just for this episode too. Great video, you are a true fan, very emotive.
Battlestar Galactica collided with Star Wars. The Dark Troopers and Katee Sackhoff. Loved it.
Thanks for sharing! This series was Star Wars bliss and an awesome story! You finally caught up to the tears we all shed.
I'm secure in my hope that Favreu and Faloni will give us something spectacular for season 3.
"I felt an agonizing disturbance in the Force...as millions of voices all cried out at once, in joy and relief"
-- Kathleen Kennedy
she doesnt deserve to helm star wars
She doesnt weld the force and she wouldnt even care if she did
R2D2: "I met one of you and he was beating me with a stick."
Mando Season 3 will go into production after The Book of Boba Fett, which doesn't air until December 2021, so there'll be time to put in a time jump, depending on how much in-universe time TBoBF covers. Mando S3 will likely involve a confrontation between Din Djarin and Boba Fett over the darksaber, and control of the Mandalorian people with (deep fake) Luke and Grogu coming in on one side or the other. If I were a betting man, I'd say; expect to see Luke come in on Boba Fett's side, only to do a late season switch after getting the information he needs from that faction.
It’s possible R2 and Grogu knew each other. R2 would’ve been around the Jedi Temple all the time with Anakin back before the Empire. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that they met.
yeah when R2 started to jiggle around it was almost like he was saying hey I remember you and Grogu was immediately drawn to him
Fun fact: Luke was supposed to have a blue lightsaber but in Return of the Jedi, during the fight on Jabba's sail barge, the blue lightsaber was invisible against the blue sky. So, they made it green.
Yes, I grew up with the original trilogy, and after RotJ, we thought that the full 6-part or 9-part (depending which sources you read) saga would be made eventually.
Years passed, Star Wars faded from the public eye, and by the late 80s with no news, we started to accept that there would be no more movies. Back then, franchises just didn't come back after that long.
It was about the beginning of the 90s I think that the Expanded Universe novels began telling the stories of Luke, Leia, Han and Chewie after the original trilogy, and comics/games/etc followed. That was a really exciting time to be a Star Wars fan, but most of us still didn't think it would mean any more movies back then.
I'm a wreck today.. every time I see this scene, tears.
The music is phenomenal also
Aww I love that you noticed the music. I'm a soundtrack nerd and there have been a few references this season to the Resistance Theme, Yoda's Theme and Ahsoka's Theme (by Kiner) but I was wondering if/when they would reference the Force Theme and I love that this is what they saved it for :) I knew as soon as they said "One X-Wing?" - that just got my mind turning to Red 5 :)
I didn't cry this time but man, I still get wicked goosebumps every time. I didn't expect it either and I scoffed at fan theories involving Luke turning up.
RoTJ's Luke Skywalker and his struggle to not turn is pretty important to this man and his life-long struggle to not turn.
9:51 - That's the look of hope.
9:54 - That's the reaction of hope answered. (Thank you John and Dave =) )
This really helped my 2020. Needed something that wouls bring me some no strings attached joy
Thank you for your emotional and enthusiastic reaction, Larissa! 🎆
The Disney Star Wars Trilogy is not star wars, it is bad fan fiction that does it's best to destroy the previous movies. Mandalorian as more of the soul of Star Wars than anything KK endorsed.
Nice to see someone who cares about the real Star Wars
The add-on at the end, "The Book of Boba Fett, "is just one of approx. a dozen of spin-offs over the next few years, incld: 'Obi-Wan," "Rogue Squadron, " "Rangers of the New Republic." "Visions,' "Lando," and "Ahsoka Tano." Disney paid several billion for ownership of this "cash cow," and they aren't close to stop milking it.
Хорошая реакция. Слёзы рекой текли)
Fuuuuuck just when I think I’m over it... it comes right back at cha with them force feels with every new reaction of this ep.
Oh you know who that is. "I'm a Jedi like my father before me." I must say I didn't really lose it untill he took off his helmet.
Once he has taken done that willingly in front of another living being he can never put it back on again.
"This is the way."
Except now Din knows that the never-take-your-helmet-off thing is only a rule of the Children of the Watch, a group of zealots following the ancient ways, and not a rule of Mandalorians in the present era.
Thinking back, I'm almost sure R2 D2 met Grogu at the Jedi Temple before Order 66. I can't remember which movie but I remember when Anakin was a Padawan and they showed the younglings in training, you can see a baby of Yoda's species in the back of the room. Now, I'm sure that was Grogu and R2 was at the Temple that day. They had to have known each other. People forget that R2 is antique and older than anyone in the movies. I really enjoyed your reaction btw. GeeGee
I’ll possibly make you cry one more time. - Isn’t it possible The child often held that silver knob from the Razor Crest because it reminded him of R2-D2 all along?
Someone did a study of canon propaganda posters, and determined that the reason that Cara Dune didn't recognize Luke Skywalker is because the propaganda only identified him as 'Red 5', the farm-boy from Tatooine who destroyed the Death Star. The fact that Luke could use the Force was never brought up, because it would undermine the message that even the least person can have a great impact. Luke's x-wing, which she might have recognized as Red-5, was left on Cloud City in Episode V (The Empire Strikes Back), so he was flying a different x-wing.
Red 5 is a callsign, not a specific X-Wing.
@@Nonamearisto Right, but the markings of his x-wing were part of the propaganda posters. Because the markings didn't match what she remembered, she didn't recognize it.
I love your video... I wish I had a friend that enjoy star wars as much as you do.
I love how RUclips is still recommending these reactions after I binged so many a few weeks ago. Yours didn't disappoint though.
Great reaction! As for me, I think this episode was the best entertainment experience I've had in at least 20 years.
12:47 - It's a real face that knows what fucking this beautiful scene will lead to .... green milk ...kathleen kennedy ... communist revolution ...
hey yeah, that was good. -JC
Saw ep4 back in theaters when it first came out in 77. The mandalorian series is the one thing so far that recaptured that magic.
The scene with Luke was a amazing parallel of Darth Vader in rogue one.
Vader brought destruction.
Luke brought hope.
One was machine vs man the other was man vs machines.
So happy to see you finally react to this episode
Bib Fortuna was on the Sail Barge, so I guess he escaped before it exploded?
This show has been the best thing from the Star Wars universe since the original movies.
Whoever it was that said women don't relate to Luke Skywalker doesn't know Star Wars, and probably doesn't know women either.
These reactions make my day :-)
We were all crying....
BRILLIANT reaction! Cheers from Australia.
Loved your reaction! You are a true Star Wars fan.
Well, I'm in my late 50's, too. And THIS is SW. THIS is how we felt with the original trilogy. I tried so hard to like the sequels. Loved Rey. But they totally messed up the story. What was the Last Jedi? I'm all for equality but why mess up SO many story arcs for this. Poe turns out to be a loser who bucks authority and fails, Finn on some weird side mission that also fails. Phasma, just, whatever, Snoke the all-powerful so easily deceived and defeated, and the worst of all, Luke--our hero--some grumpy old Jedi with none of his ROTJ character intact, who is then knocked to the ground by Rey far too easily. Beautiful to look at, but not SW. What were they thinking? Seriously! And then came this to save the day, during a pandemic. The Mandalorian is brilliant. This team knows SW. They get it. They know how to treat the Skywalker arc and Lucas' universe. However, as excited as I was--genuine original SW chills--I did not cry during the show, even though I had no idea what was coming and never expected the REAL Luke to turn up, with all the amazingly well-choreographed moves. Brilliant writing. The Sixth Sense and TESB, reveals. I did not cry until seeing YOUR reactions, Larissa. YOU made me cry. Watching these reaction videos is a little addictive. Great stuff. It's so so good to finally get to share what it was like for us oldies, when SW first came out. Thank you.
You are lovely. Thanks for the video.
Loved your reaction to this Larissa
"They are blessing us with all of this shit." Couldn't have said it better!
love your reaction))) so cute)))
Best episode ever. I cant wait till season 3. I grew up on the originals and i enjoyed the new ones but the mandalorian takes the cake
I loved it too💙❤💯🎬
i cant wait for season 3... i want to know what happens with grogus training
Since this show is "The Mandalorian", I'm pretty sure the storyline will be about Din and Bo Katan. Grogu will have a cameo at some point, but he won't be back full time until we get the Luke series. I think.
@@Jedi_Mistress yeah but with the money maker Grogu is, he will be back. maybe not like a huge thing, but a few episodes here or there. same with luke and anyone else.
What an awesome reaction.
Moff Gideon wanted Grogus Blood to start the cloning process of Palpatine aka Darth Sidious. all this u see takes places around 5 years AFTER return of the jedi, or episode 6.
Glove and green saber gave it away pretty quickly
This was the best xmas in the worst year
Enjoyed watching
the music in this was awesome.
