H rooms are for House Keeping, M rooms are for Maintenance (spare TV's, lamps, ect) A hotel I used to work at had set of dated or rundown rooms set aside for in house / over night staff.
They aren't technically abandoned , just unable to stay in business under LOCKDOWNS! And sadly, most will be resold eventually or repossessed for tax extortion
Not sure if you guys found it but there is a Huge Grand Piano in a closet off of the convention center, in the back, towards the stairwell. It was probably worth more than the hotel itself...

What a great find! Btw, if this hotel has been abandoned since January of this year, it probably wasn't only because of Covid. I remember that in January the first news had only started to trickle in about the epidemic and the quarantines in China and the first cases in the US were reported in February I believe, not in a hotel but some school in Washington state. They obviously had financial difficulties before and the upcoming global pandemic was the final nail in the coffin, which they must've seen coming.
This hotel was closed by the State due to revenue issues and non-compliance with the State. Hotels in the State were not forced to close/reduce services until April or May of 2020.
unfortunately its the way of the world at the moment. its such a shame that there are a lot of companies going bankrupt and closing down due to covid. lets hope 2021 will be a brighter year for everybody
Good thing that the property owners did not put motion sensors outside and inside of that hotel. If they did installed the motion sensors the local police officers will show up.
Ha that place was already falling apart. The mold was a big problem. Rona was just the finishing blow. I'm going to miss that cruddy hotel and sketchy parking garage.
Steve you always finding safes rember the one you and your buddies found in that very nice house a while back were the safe had the keys and papers of the owners.😊
I used to work front desk I know how to make a key to access all the rooms with one key. Just need the card reader that was on that desk to turn on. Or just find the stack of keys that we’re probably in the first office you were in downstairs labeled HK only. Housekeeping keys open every door in the building and they were handed over to front desk or housekeeping managers.

1, The poor person who cannot before they have to leave💔 2, i can tell you have never worked fast food since you I was so shocked to see soda syrup. 🙃 3, amazing content. You are one of my favorite RUclipsrs. Thanks for all the hard work 💙
It's really upsetting to have such good visual explores done by people who don't research what they're exploring, and upload false information on the location. Your fans shouldn't have to Google and debunk your claims. You have a patreon asking for people to pay... For what? False information?
Agreed he even read why they went under. and i don't think nine months could do that much damage. that's just poor up keep.
I concur
I agree .... he should get more information about the places he goes to .... his information on places on his videos are way off
Yo its just some kid with a camera that explores houses. You expect them to be accurate? lol
@@sammywest2583 yeah lol
H rooms are for House Keeping, M rooms are for Maintenance (spare TV's, lamps, ect) A hotel I used to work at had set of dated or rundown rooms set aside for in house / over night staff.
They aren't technically abandoned , just unable to stay in business under LOCKDOWNS! And sadly, most will be resold eventually or repossessed for tax extortion
It is sad but LIFE goes on each day is a gift
I enjoyed this explore, thanks for the tour.
Not sure if you guys found it but there is a Huge Grand Piano in a closet off of the convention center, in the back, towards the stairwell.
It was probably worth more than the hotel itself...
I'm back to ask..indoor plants still surviving
Before becoming a Red Lion it was most likely originally a Holiday Inn as the pools were called a Holidome pool area.
Was a Radisson
Thank you Mr. Ronin for this great video, I learned a lot!!
Amazing place can't believe all that was just left there that's crazy, those poor staff and guests, brilliant explore Steve 👍
I'm surprised that this was not featured on a Another Dirty Room By Dan Bell. If Dan Bell would have known about this place he would have stayed here.
Good job 💪🏼🍃👍🏼💯💯
A person with business sense could turn that place around. The owner and or management could care less about the business; it shows!
Like a child, the place has suffered abuse for years and niw abandoned. Some people have no sense. 🙈
from 74-07 some friends and i did urban exploring, we don't take anything, we wouldn't leave anything but a notebook and pencil, otherwise we do no harm, we had a homeless man sleeping there pull a knife on us, after that we all got licensed to carry tear gas. i hope you all have some kind of personal protection gear, especially with c-19, lots of homeless the shelters are closed desperate times leads to desperate actions
I'm always amazed how clean the place is Enjoyed the video Steve
"Dude this has COCA-COLA" " Yeah this is what they use for bars"....LOL
I know right. These guys never worked in a restaurant or gas station or anywhere for that matter.
Definitely not a 1hr hike back to your car. You’re in the Lowes parking lot. The hotel is literally next door.
24:23 Who actually tilted their phone to see if there were any donuts left in the bag? 🤣🤣🤣
This looks like a great explore. I'm going to drink a Red Bull and watch it.
Well damn now ima go get me a red bull 😅
Fantastic explore..can't wait to see more like this ...your fantastic steve ❤...love from UK 🇬🇧
high five to steve .good video as always be safe you and friends.with budget cuts they couldnt keep up with the repairs .
Maybe the owner and his buds were smoking all the profit! 🤭
It was closed down before then. That hotel was a shit hole, they had a furry con held there I went to once called "furpocalypse." God, guys, it's super wild to see it like this hahaha. I knew it was a bad hotel but man MAN. They had water problems for a while I'm not surprised it's leaking everywhere. Even when I went there in like... 2017/2018 it was pretty run down. Thanks for filming and sharing!
Hi Steve, your contents are amazing , no dull moments. It’s like more than watching a suspense and horror films on netflix, real script and no slow script writes 👏💯
These videos are so dope. I’m watching from South Africa, as an avid explorer myself I am inspired by your work. Stay awesome.
Of course I enjoy the video but I cannot still believe there was no security guard around in that Hotel and Steve you said to give a nickname to your buddies well the built one is The Rock and the skinny one is kung fu there you are Steve your nickname for your buddies and this video is so retro so awesome so you guys stay safe and take care of yourselves on your next incredible Adventures peace out guys 👍😎👍
Kung fu and Rock! You're very creative! I love that. 😄
Haha perfect nicknames
Can you imagine having a Esport set up in the Hotel 🏨
Ok, but I’d love that managers office area🙌 would be so nice !
Please the place would have been shut down because it was neglected not because of covid
Hi steve, love ur voice its so calming. Keep it up and be safe always.
Just found your channel! I've been binge watching all your videos.! INCREDIBLE!!
Most hotel everywhere in the world was closed due to Covid 19..it is crazy
Thanks for sharing this vid with us! It’s a shame that the pandemic situation is changing ‘the normal’ we all knew... wonderful to see this hotel with no people at all - Different vibes.....! 👍❤️😊
Having been to this hotel, the location has been almost as gross as you witnessed it WHEN IT WAS OPEN. It's freaky seeing here since it was almost this way.
Those soda thingys, as you called them are called a bag in the box (BIB) for the soda fountains, they are used in restaurants & convenient stores also.
Awesome explore!!!
I’d totally skate in that pool
Who's paying that darn electric bill!!!!!?!?!??!
Do the owners ever hit you up on your channel and be like yo get off my property?
No,theyre too embarressed....no one will admit ownership of a shabby dump...
@@garyjones4082 🤣🤣🤣
Apparently this was about finances and taxes that were unpaid. Not COVID.
The pool was the best of the three of you
Such a shame. That beautiful hotel. No more because of The Big C🤬!! This was a great but sad tour you guys. Can you imagine what the staff and owners went through at a last minute shut down 😑
But better days are to come. After a storm the Sun must come out🌄!! Great Video Guys❤️👏
Another great video. Love your adventures....thanks for sharing.
So many wonderful memories in this place. It's a shame they let it get so bad. It really is a lovely hotel with an amazing layout.
What a shame... 2020 hasn't been a good yr
How the heck is it decaying in such a short time? It must of been in bad shape before.
Wouldn't they lock the doors to a place like that? Or do people break the doors and since the place is abandoned they don't fix them?
What a great find!
Btw, if this hotel has been abandoned since January of this year, it probably wasn't only because of Covid. I remember that in January the first news had only started to trickle in about the epidemic and the quarantines in China and the first cases in the US were reported in February I believe, not in a hotel but some school in Washington state.
They obviously had financial difficulties before and the upcoming global pandemic was the final nail in the coffin, which they must've seen coming.
There was no covid, he made it up
@@Michieru777 Whether or not there was covid, he didn't make it up. It was on the news and the clips are included in the video.
Amen
Good thing that the properly owners did not put those motioned cameras inside and outside of that hotel property.
Another furry convention-goer here. Shoulda swung by the on-site parking garage. People were joking about how it might collapse. Great video.
Stay safe always Steve, Congratulations filming well done.
Having stayed in that hotel many times I can tell you that the mold was there long before they closed.
Are u from tampa and TBA
Good thing that the property owners did not put motion sensors outside and inside of that hotel. If they did installed the motion sensors the local police officers will show up.
Ha that place was already falling apart. The mold was a big problem. Rona was just the finishing blow. I'm going to miss that cruddy hotel and sketchy parking garage.
you should have looked on the cart with the cleaning supplies the maid had a master keycard it might have been on the cart
Heck I need all the towels washcloths and bed linens. Scald them and give them to the homeless shelters
Also, as others have said, the hotel was shut down for tax reasons and, not covid.
It's a shame but there's probably going to be more places like this due to coronavirus.
Steve you always finding safes rember the one you and your buddies found in that very nice house a while back were the safe had the keys and papers of the owners.😊
That's because places of business or the rich have safes
I used to work front desk I know how to make a key to access all the rooms with one key. Just need the card reader that was on that desk to turn on. Or just find the stack of keys that we’re probably in the first office you were in downstairs labeled HK only. Housekeeping keys open every door in the building and they were handed over to front desk or housekeeping managers.
Do you know anything about secret/ hidden rooms?
