fun duology recommendation, that i haven't seen anywhere! The Queen's Rising Duology (second book: The Queen's Resistance). It is a calm fantasy, with scenes that literally left me SHOOK!! the romance is more evident in book two, cause the love interest is given his own POV chapters, but the entire duology is about self-recognition, and Brienna (main character), finding where she belongs. it may be a little slow at the beginning, but as soon as pg 58 comes... *choo choo* climb aboard the adventure express! if you want, you can read the first book on it's own, but my favorite is Queen's Resistance! ENJOY!!
"I can never have too many beautiful journals" - Jesse George 2021. I can relate, I literally have a tub filled with journals, and a drawer filled with journals.
One of my favorite memoirs is In Order to Live by Yeonmi Park. It is about how she escaped North Korea and her struggles making it to South Korea. Also Under the Same Sky that follows Joseph Kim who fled as well. Both of those were amazing!
This is a compliment: you add caffeine personified. Also, if you are looking for educational historical fiction, “We are Not Free” by Traci Chee is awesome!
I recently got the Tiger's Curse saga and also George Orwell's 1984 and Animal Farm too. I was able to go to my local bookstore and get ten books including five hardcovers for 39 dollars. It was amazing
Yeah, I went into The Poppy War completely unprepared and oof. I mean, it was a five star read but you definitely need to be emotionally prepared. I just finished White Smoke by Tiffany D Jackson and now I'm reading The Inheritance of Orquídea Divina by Zoraida Córdova.

Know My Name by Chanel Miller and Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson are excellent if you're looking for more memoirs. I also loved She Who Became the Sun, The Wolf and the Woodsman, and The Anthropocene Reviewed :)

So excited you received the Night Circus box. This is my favorite book it has so many good quotes. I was bummed that I missed out on the box. It was sold out by the time I got it in my cart. Enjoy!
I saw you mention it on your Instagram when you wear talking about memoirs, but Jesse you would LOVE Crying in H-Mart. It’s so amazing and the writing is fantastic. I’ve been reading it at work when we are slow and I’m in love.
The Devil Makes Three and The Wolf and The Woodsman are STUNNING! I LOVED The Anthropocene Reviewed, and I do plan on going to the Bookspolion live stream!
I mean, I haven't read it yet, but a nonfiction I am interested in is Smoke Gets in Your Eyes & Other Lessons from the Crematory by Caitlin Doughty. I know you have an interest in books about death, so this may be something to look into. Also, I don't know if you have read it yet, but if are looking for other memories then On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous is a good way to go, or (another book I haven't read but I am interested in) In the Dream house. The first is by Ocean Vuong and the second by Carmen Maria Machado.
