I am totally relating to keep saying the words: I am excited! When talking about books, I have bought. I always do a book haul to my parents, dancing into the living room with books in my arms. Telling them all about the books I have bought, and how excited I am to read them. And they will just give each other this look and I am sure they find me freaking weird sometimes xD
Hello!!! Thanks for posting today! Just got home from the hospital from a terrible throat infection. Gonna try to get some reading in while healing 😅 hope you’re doing well ❤️❤️ you just made my day!
Jesse! I heard my mom watching your video and I had to come tell you about I Hear The Sunspot! It’s not a standalone! It was serialized without the author intending to make it a series, and then ended up writing more- making the order a bit weird! The book you got is the latest volume (and the exclusive edition version!) let me help you out with the reading order! :D I Hear The Sunspot (2017) I Hear The Sunspot: Theory of Happiness (2018) I Hear The Sunspot: Limit, Volumes 1-3 (2018-2021) I Hear The Sunspot: Four Seasons (2023) :D
I’m only 7 minutes in and let me just say, I always have and always will be obsessed with your editing style and music choice! It’s so beautiful and fun to watch!
i've been watching your vids for literal years but this is the first time i'm commenting so yay! i'd just like to say that assassination classroom will definitely be worth your time spent reading. it's humourous, it's action-packed, it's an adventurous rollercoaster both story and emotions-wise. each character is just written in a way that'll definitely get you attached to class 3-E as a whole. i could go on rambling because i'm obviously biased but i really hope you stick around for the rest of the volumes and enjoy the story as much as i did! xx
currently reading "everyone in this room will someday be dead" after your recent video about it so thank you for the great rec - I'm really enjoying it so far & 'excited' to read more 😅😇❤
I've been meaning to get stickers for my Kindle so this Redbubble sponsorship came at the right time lol. I'm really liking this new format Jesse and the editing is so good !! Dark Archives sounds so intriguing I can't wait for your review of it.
Its so cool to see you pick up indie comics! The PEOW catalog has so many interesting looking works, hope you find some new faves - hope you enjoy Last Chance to Find Duke , Grog the Frog & The Paradox of Getting Better!!! I also suggest checking out Silver Sprocket, they are an indie comic publisher that published 'the paradox of getting better'!
Currently reading Forest of the Vanishing Stars. Btw I didn't realize you lived so close to NYC. ❤ your videos! can't wait tobhear what you might be doing in 2024 !!!
I love the way you edited the book shopping part, it was so relaxing! I’m interested in the frog graphic novel you got, and love the boba frog (I just love frogs) ❤ I just read a really great graphic novel called On A Sunbeam, I would highly recommend it! Love seeing you reading manga and graphic novels! I have been reading so many recently.
Today has been a chill and cloudy day, so this fits perfect to make my day even better, thank you Jesse 🥰 Love all you video formats, they’re always a mood and I’m here for them :3
Been on reading spree lately picking up old classics from Amazon that I read as a kid Percy Jackson and Inkheart trilogy which was my childhood I love inkheart soo much I just finished Sea of Monsters
Love the energy in the video ❤ Thank you for posting. I've just finished Brave New World and that was a taugh journey, not gonna lie. To lighten the mood I'm now reading a summer romance from Brandon Witt called Mapping the forest. Not a 5 star type of read but a good break so far from all the Dystopian/Utopian imagery from Huxley.
I felt the struggle when Jesse was trying to find out another word for “excited” xD more so ‘cause today I was updating my reviews on Goodreads and I was like “okay I need to stop with ‘interesting’ and find other way to express it”, and sometimes I could, others I just came back to them 🤣 But, honestly I would expect him to be excited for those reads if he bought them ;3 ✨
The Boba Frog is adorable! My most recent read was Ace of Spades by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé (which I really enjoyed!) I am currently rereading Animal Farm by George Orwell. I love Lore Olympus! The artwork and storytelling is fantastic. My favorite character in that series is Hera. I saw Hadestown last year when it came to my hometown and absolutely loved it.
So my Audible credit kicked in and your RUclips video was 1st up . I bought "Dark Archives ". It's not my usual style but experience new things, thank you.
Call him Bubble Toad (like bubble tea!)! Or John (after your alter ego name from the Flip the Page Challenge video XD) Also, I am currently reading Spice Road by Maiya Ibrahim, and so far, I'm loving it.
totally agree with you about not vibing with movie scene references in books! for me, it's also song references. something about putting music into words falls flat for me. also the boba frog's name should be Boba Ribbett. like Boba Fett. no? k i'll see myself out lol
Aww! Cute frog. Alas, I'm not good at naming plushies. I have cute plush Cold Brew I still need to name staring at me right now. As for what I'm reading. I just finished Lone Women, by Victor LaValle which is a historical horror novel. It starts with the main character setting fire to her home and her parents dead bodies and setting out on a journey with a mysterious trunk. I liked it, but I think it felt rushed in a few places and there was one odd thing that happens early on, that I don't remember ever being explained, though there's no reason it shouldn't have been. Right now, I'm reading book six of The Expanse.
A new NY×Jesse video!! YAY! I always love your NY videos!! 😊💚 You're reading "Kappa"!? I've never read it and would love to hear your thoughts on it!! I'm just curious!! Btw, I decide I'll call your boba frog "Boba-taro"! (I know you won't, but I'll do so. lol) Anyway, he is soooo cute! Byeeee, Boba-taro ♪
Hey Jesse, it looks like you're reading I Hear the Sunspot Four Seasons! Love that manga, not sure it you read all the other volumes, but four season is actually a spinoff book from the original I Hear the Sunspot manga. It's technically the sixth book in the series
Spoiler for a good girls guide to murder!!! When the dog died in agggtm I started frickin sobbing bro tears streaming down my eyes so I agree animals in books usually end in tears 💀
Assassination Classroom also has a live action adaptation. Hades town was great. Edit: still reading Lightbringer by Pierce Brown. Its amazing of course!
The word your looking for is sketchy! Or potentially spontaneous! It is an actual legitimate art/graphic novel style so you should be able to find quite a few GNs in that style if you end up liking it.
In Korean, bubble is geopum (guh-poom), so I think Guppy would be a cute name for the froggo! 😊
A new Jesse video AND the Percy Jackson trailer drop??? I have been BLESSED today!!! 🤩💙
The way I immediately went to look for the trailer as soon as I saw this comment 😆 I'm so excited!
Purrr Queen 💅. Love your backpack
That Boba frog just melted my heart!!! 🥺🥺🥺 HOW CUTE!! ✨
"Hope it wasn't too chaotic"
Jesse, your videos are the peak of chaotic energy and it's what makes them 100% the best 👌
I am totally relating to keep saying the words: I am excited! When talking about books, I have bought. I always do a book haul to my parents, dancing into the living room with books in my arms. Just what I needed. A video from my favorite booktubers!
Jesse! I heard my mom watching your video and I had to come tell you about I Hear The Sunspot!

You could name the frog Bobo! I think that would be cute :)
I’m only 7 minutes in and let me just say, I always have and always will be obsessed with your editing style and music choice! It’s so beautiful and fun to watch!
Yes!!!

the frog looks like a Benny to me, for some reason
I've been meaning to get stickers for my Kindle so this Redbubble sponsorship came at the right time lol. I'm really liking this new format Jesse and the editing is so good !! Dark Archives sounds so intriguing I can't wait for your review of it.
Assassination Classroom is one of my favorite manga! The beginning feels very silly, but by the end it gets so emotional!
I really liked this style of video, so much bookish content all at once 😍
Another amazing video ! 😊 Random question : what do you do when your not reading or making content ?

Next level editing skills Jesse.👏👏👏
Currently reading Lost in the Moment and Found all thanks to you!

Bob the frog

Just got this one myself.
Jesse, I’ve been reading Live Your Best Lie by Jessie Weaver so far I’ve been loving it ❤ and I’m pumped for all the books I haven’t read yet
I really like lore olympus and have been thinking about whether or not I should try and see hadestown as it is coming to london.
Great vlog haul ect 📚☕

Call him Bubble Toad (like bubble tea!)! Or John (after your alter ego name from the Flip the Page Challenge video XD)
Also, I am currently reading Spice Road by Maiya Ibrahim, and so far, I'm loving it.
I love Lore Olympus, I have the 1st four volumes but I am only mid way through the 2nd Volume.
totally agree with you about not vibing with movie scene references in books! for me, it's also song references. something about putting music into words falls flat for me.
also the boba frog's name should be Boba Ribbett. like Boba Fett. no? k i'll see myself out lol
I am currently reading Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
I am currently reading Glass by Ellen Hopkins but I don't have much left so I'll be starting the next book in the trilogy Fallout after.
This was really fun! 🎉
I’ve been getting into manga lately too! My most recent read was My Boss’s Kitten and my upcoming read is Tokyo Ghoul

FROBA! 🐸
Assassination Classroom also has a live action adaptation.
Hades town was great.
Edit: still reading Lightbringer by Pierce Brown. Its amazing of course!
This is random, but I saw the teaser/trailer for the Percy Jackson tv series on Disney+ today, do you plan on watching the series?
The boba frog kinda looks like taro milk tea so you could call it Taro.

Couldn’t tell you why but the name I’m thinking of would be Squeegee
Currently reading wise man's fear by patrick rothfuss

I am reading once upon a curse.

I DNFed anime Assassination Classroom because is got really repetitive and I got bored
