I've watched them since their first performance on The Sing off over 11 years ago now. And it doesn't matter if you were to seek help for this addiction or not...there is NO KNOWN CURE!!! (except to keep listening!!!😉)

I love Pentatonix and have listened to a lot of their songs ... a lot ... and having heard this one, and seeing your reaction, I'd like to shock you with another person's version of The Prayer, by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli, written by David Foster and others. A French Canadian pop singer, singing in English (with of course her French accent on some English words), singing with an Italian Opera singer (who also has an accent singing English). Now this person Marcelito Pomoy, is a Filipino, who doesn't know these languages, can sing this song, in both languages, sing both parts (female and male) with, what seems to be effortless and will surprise you. He is a self-taught singer, can sing multi-languages, both female and male, was abandoned by his mother while his father was in prison, was put in the foster system which he left at the age of 7 years old and taught himself to sing while taking odd jobs to live on, while living on the streets of Manila, Philippines. Girl don't worry about the tears because we all get that way. I was crying earlier listening to "thank you " written by Scott and his fiance Mark during quarantine. I cry every time I hear it so basically I'm crying every day..great reaction so sincere.

While Scott's singing in Italian is a first for that language, singing in a foreign language is nothing new for Pentatonix. They've performed songs in Korean (Gungnam Style - be sure to also check out the bloopers video), Spanish (Despacito x Shape of You), French (Papaoutai), and several songs in Japanese - Perfume medley, Pretender, Midnight in Tokyo, Dear My Heart - the last two in collaboration with the J-Pop group Little Glee Monster. Those should give you some ideas for future reactions.
The choreography and blocking by itself takes months. That's in addition to having ever note where it's supposed to be at just the right time. Pentatonix is the description of professionals. It took them five years to do their music video of Bohemian Rhapsody. They truly shine with The Prayer and Amazing Grace my chains are gone. When God needs singing lessons for the angels he sends them to Pentatonix.

The fact that the original doesn't sound nearly as good as this is just more reason why they're so successful. Each voice is so different, yet when they're sung in harmony, they create a National Anthem like effect.
Check out Home Free's cover of End of the Road. They are also an incredible vocal group. Man of Constant Sorrow is also a great intro to this gifted acapella group
