You don't have to factory reset, you can just clear your HTC Sense Home data / storage via Apps. Then after you've done that, update everything on google play otherwise your google play wont work anymore. Hope this helps anyone who wants to fix the problem without having to lose all their data.

swipe from top, tap setings icon and then > settings > apps > find sense home page (or similar) and click clean data/force stop. Do the same for google services - like google play and others google services if problem persist.
But anyway, this is something you won´t expect from phone in cost 700$ .

well if you lock the phone, double tap on it (it will prompt either for passwd or pin or just to unlock) and there you can swap from the top.

Thank you xGattsu. It WORKED!! settings > apps > find sense,click force stop followed by clear data, restarted and it worked. At times I did have to hit do not send to the error message while I was going through the process of cleaning up the data.

TIP: This method will erase ALL your data. If you haven't backed up before and want to keep your data, plug your phone into a PC, and copy Internal Storage and/or SD card and/or specific data you want to keep (e.g. Contacts) to your PC and then recopy onto your phone after this method.

Yeah no need to reset phone, plug into PC and use HTC manager to back it up then in phone, head into settings, apps, find sence home app, go into it, hit storage go down and clear data and hit it. It will reset your phone customisation, now plug back into PC and put everything back on that you backed up. It's easy

PARDEEP ELECTRONICS - you're not to bright are you. Do you format and reinstall Windows on your computers hard drive because some software gets buggy? Then why would you do it when having a small issue like this? Just do what xGattsu said and just clear your HTC Sense Home data / storage via Apps.
