I remember as a Marine stationed at The Marine Barracks, those Navy Wives would come in droves from Base Housing, when their hubbies deployed lolol. They would show up at that Club on Base, right underneath the Marine Corps Barracks. Oscar Seven would be BUSY as hell on those nights and weekends. Buzzing Navy Wives through the Gates in our barracks on the quarter deck and running them in and out like a Train Station, OH wait, there were trains, Choo Choo. That's the 90's for you. Especially 90-93, it was a F*CK Fest in those barracks, GREAT TIMES in Naples.
Id love to see a follow up video(s) on the off base options after ya'll make that transition!
We lived on the Support Site when I was a kid from 2001-2005 (8-12 years old) while my dad was in the navy. All the kids had so much fun roaming the base on our bikes and swimming/playing sports at Carney Park. 3 Doors Down and Toby Keith performed on base. We visited all the popular tourist spots in Italy. We had a blast in Naples!
Thanks for sharing! My family and I were stationed there from 2005-2008 and I went to the elementary school on support site. I’m 26 now. This brings so much nostalgia - wish I could go back. We lived off base but two of my friends lived in the housing units right across the elementary/highschool on the top floor.

Thanks for sharing! My husband and I just moved into on base housing a few weeks ago. This helped me so much because the move was a very overwhelming experience for me, and I'm home a lot so setting up the new apartment was a big deal to me!!

Hi, Please do a video if you move off base, were British Military & its all off base housing as far as I'm aware. Were allocated 1 house and have to accept so trying to get a feel for what we'll be allocated. :)

How do I get stuff to naples via Amazon. Almost everything is saying it's not letting things be shipped
@@jamaicanbarbie7232 Are you shipping to your FPO box? If so you use the US amazon and there are size and weight limitations. Also things with alcohols, aerosols, lithium batteries, etc. aren’t allowed. You can ship to an Amazon locker using Amazon.it but I have never done that since I live off base now with an Italian address.

Hello! Wondering what size your dresser is? We will be moving in November and trying to be as prepared as possible!
My dresser is 80 cm wide by 122 cm tall and 47 cm deep. It’s just barely fit and I had to wiggle it in!
Great video. Can you ask housing to remove the dresser? Just curious. We are moving there soon and I am trying to get a feel for what the room sizes.
From what I’ve read people have asked and housing has refused. You can take them apart yourself but you have to store the parts and put it back together before moving.

Honestly, these apartments were styled poorly, in my humble opinion. American base with European apartment, not a fan. I thought it was hard enough in Poland for housing. Guess I was wrong😖

Does the size of apartment depend on availability or rank, is it both also does wether you are an officer or inlisted affect anything?

I really have no idea but I would be shocked if there wasn’t! Naples is huge and I’m sure there’s somewhere!

I see you have a dog! I’m considering ranking NSA Naples highly for my next assignment. What do you do with your dog when you travel off base for a weekend?
There are lots of dog sitters. When we lived on Support Site we normally dropped her at another apartment for a dog sitter to watch her and now that we’re off base we have a great dog sitter that comes to our house. There are also kennels if your dog is comfortable with that. Our isn’t friendly with other dogs so we prefer to have someone stay at our house.
Ok so I have another question lol. How big is the dresser housing gives you ?
They have different sizes so it could be different from what I have, some of the other apartment styles have a small closet for the master bedroom. It’s hard to know until you’re here which I know is a pain 😩
But it isn’t a dresser. Just a wardrobe so no drawers or anything.

How does it compare to sasebo
Sasebo’s housing is definitely much nicer 😆 But I was in a 3 bedroom townhouse with a backyard. Just a lot more space!
How much room is there in the storage space?
A fair amount! Each one is different so it depends on what unit you’re in. But we stored a lot of our stuff up there. I don’t have measurements because I moved off base already, I’m sorry!

Is on base housing in Naples available to senior civilian (GS-15) employees? If so, what type of housing…single family, duplex, etc….Or do they have to obtain off-base housing? It’d be for my wife and I’d be accompanying her as a dependent/spouse.
