Awesome vid! I just did this today thanks to you. For posterity, there are two more bolts on the white bracket/shelf inside the door at the bottom of the glass that need removing as well, or else you can’t remove the railing. The vid appears to skip that part at the 04:51 mark. Just putting that out there because 10 years ago I would have tried to force it out and probably broke the glass in the process lol. Forewarning: I could only get to these two bolts using a 10mm ratcheting wrench
Thanks, helped convince me to try my rear window regulator & motor myself! I wasn't going to try it and was prepared to just let the dealer fix it. Video was helpful even with the differences for doing the rear door..... Saved myself some $$ and would totally do it again if needed.
Saw your videos yesterday. Mine broke 2 days ago. The dealer price for this part was $480. Plus $120 for an hour labor. I left and bought this same part in your video for $75. at an auto part store. I just put it in easily, thanks to your video!
Also front passenger regulator went out the other day. I finally replaced it too. Only had one error till I figured it out. Be sure the window is actually on the rubber tracks on the left and right of the window so it goes up and down properly.
My window just stopped working. It was all the way up and just kind of slid down into the door. I can hear it grinding when I try to close it. How can I be sure that it’s the motor/regulator before I try to take it apart myself? Also: how is it legal for these asshole mechanics to say that the part costs 400-500 bucks when I can buy it on Amazon for $42??
Either way you will have to take it a part to find out, I would just replace it. They can charge what they want, that's why you get multiple estimates. This is part of the reason I do most stuff myself, to save money
Super helpful but you forgot 1 screw. The one in the door just below the controls under a little rubber false floor. That was driving me nuts. I couldn't figure out why the door panel wouldn't come off for like 5 minutes.
Blah, I have to do this on my 04! Did the door actuators 1 year ago hate to have to open the door up again to do this lol just hate working on doors my rsx was disaster 😂
Mine just makes an annoying crack every time I roll it up but it works fine. Guessing something was over tightened by whoever worked on it before I bought it. I just can’t be bothered to take apart the door honestly lmao
My driver side window is working intermittently. Sometimes when it gets to the top it just reverses itself and starts coming right back down. Here lately it will go down a ways but then won't respond to the buttons to go up or down. Finally it will work again. I'm guessing that something in the motor is going out. It will work several days in a row just fine but then starts acting up again. I take it that there's no fix except to replace the whole assemble is there?
It broke, order the one they had in stock online at Advanced Auto Parts and paid about $68 after discounts and tax. Retail was $85. Picked it up and a few hours later had a working window. Didn't have time to waste, it is winter bro. =)

Can you replace just the motor?
It is sold as one piece
Now i can fix mine , same door , same issue, same car. dealership said $515 for new regulator and $300 for labor. i ordered a new regulator fo $46.00.
That's why I do stuff myself if I can. Glad the video helped you save too!
hey man do you know if the passenger and drivers side part is the same
They list a driver and passenger side when you order, buy the side you need
Easy , done nice job!!
Thanks! Glad you got it fixed!
If the window is going up and down but goes at an angle and get stuck, is it the regulator it likely something else? Why did the cable break? Thanks!
Could be the regulator or the track. I don't know why mine broke, I just heard it break.
What glue did you use for the weather panels
Reused what was there, just stuck it back on.
So on these cars the regulator and motor come together as one piece?
Yes
Blah, I have to do this on my 04! Did the door actuators 1 year ago hate to have to open the door up again to do this lol just hate working on doors my rsx was disaster 😂
Hope you get it fixed soon

It comes as one assembly.
My window won't slide up
Sorry to hear. Did you figure it out?
Dorman brand is the worst bro.
