    I thought I was a deep winter for the longest time but the colors looked so harsh on me. I played around with different colors for a while and came to the conclusion that I’m a true summer which I never expected. It evens out my complexion so well

      Same!! I was not accepting that I'm a deep winter cuz it's just too much to me. Like true black eyeliner makes me look old or something. Grayish brown just do something to me and it's not even in the dark winter color palette

      Same!! Kept getting deep winter/true summer when doing color analysis apps so I played around with the colors and the deep winter is just a tad too saturated for me. Maybe with a tan I could pull it off haha but for day to day, def a true summer!

      You can wear colors, just "muted" or pastel shades. If strong bright colors make you look worse than it is definitely not your palette. However, you can always choose those for accessories that you would keep far from the face area.

    Thank you for this helpful video! I'm almost 100% sure that I'm a true summer, but I noticed that the lightest colors from the palette don't look that great on me. The very light blues, pinks etc. look good on me only as an accent, but because my skin is extremely pale, those colors just blend in too much in general. However, the medium and darker colors from this palette work perfect for me!

    • @FilosoFashion
      @FilosoFashion  2 года назад +3

      Are you sure you are a summer type? Because normally summer light color palettes suit well with a bit tanned skin. This is why here are so many light shades in the 1st place. But you are right, there needs to be a well blending-in contrast with the skin, hair, etc. The color needs to emphasize your assets and not "melt you down" so you become one with a white wall. I just don't know how white your skin is ( so you still could be summer, but "in transition" to another season. You also have to check if other season colors could hypothetically suit you.

      @@FilosoFashion I'm pretty sure... I have very fair skin, ashy mid brown hair and grayish blue green eyes. I have too much gray tones in my coloring to be a winter, but I'm definitely cool toned as warm colors make me look sick and unhealthy. Summer colors look great, but not the lightest shades. I look the best in medium value and intensity colors. I just can't tan at all.

    I have light olive skin and I'm still trying to find my personal color. I thought I was warm, but now I saw that olive skin is always cool, which explains why some cool muted tones, like dry rose looked so good on me. But still I'm confused, because I have light skin with dark hair and eyes with high contrast, but I still find winter colors too bright for me, and resonate more with medium to deep muted colors. I also look better with gold jewelry (silver looks terrible on me), even better if its a gold that isn't too yellow, like white gold or rose gold.

    This whole thing is very confusing as I have a hard to match skin tone. I'm fair/light and my skin can appear both cool AND warm. Yet foundations of both tones don't work for me. Even most neutral foundations even lean too cool or warm. I need something that is almost devoid of either tone. I do think I have a very slight cool undertone yet I also have a hint of olive. This is probably because my mom is English and my dad is Greek. It also doesn't help that I have rosacea so I'm prone to redness in my skin. I look really good in dark teal (my fave), deep purple, forest green, deep mauve pink, and navy blue. Light colours wash me out and warm colours don't really do much for me though I can wear them. However, my hair has both ashy and golden blonde tones. My eyes are med/dark green.

I feel I may be summer in summertime; when my skin is a tiny bit darker, my freckles come out in all their glory and my hair is a little lighter and I'm winter in wintertime; when my skin is extremely pale, my hair is darker and I have more contrast. My hair is mousy brown, my skin is very light with blue/pink undertones, my eyes are greyblue and I've got freckles (more in summer.)

    I don’t know if I’m a true summer or true autumn. My hair is a mix of dark ash, auburn, and golden blonde highlights naturally. My eyes are grey indoors and deep/warm navy blue and golden green outside. My foundation looks best on the yellow side and my veins are olive, but I’m usually pretty fair. Brick red, true rose, and terracotta lipsticks look best on me along with coral or peach blush.

Given you have warmth in every characteristic you have stated, you are definitely not True Summer (which only have cool). There are 12 seasons though so you may be one of the 3 different Autumns if you have soft colouring.
