Everytime I think I’m done I find something else. It’s frustrating because I sold quite a few bags last year and added just as many back into my collection. I constantly say I have more than enough but it’s really hard to get off that hamster wheel.

I'm the same as you Jess. Selling old ones just to make room for new, and the number of my bags never goes down lol. However, recently I've been selling my luxury bags to exchange for cheaper ones, so that I justify it as "low buy" hehe. Follow your heart, you have such a great collection!

Hi Jess! SoCal Deb here. I think you should not over think it and buy and wear what you love. Unfortunately as a handbag lover you will always be second guessing your collection because there are so many new and fab bags coming out all the time. The only way you will be able to stop the FOMO and second guessing you collection is to stop looking at bags period. As soon as I give myself a RUclips handbag diet…I don’t think about the bags I dont have and enjoy what I have but as soon as I start looking at the RUclips bag ladies I start hunting for new bags all over again. It is a vicious circle. It’s hard to just see a bag that you really love and stays on your mind and not buy or or plan on buying it. Lord help us all who love our bags!

It’s a dilemma. I find myself always using the bags that are functional slightly beat up and not ridiculously expensive. maybe there should be a rule about how many bags sit on the shelf and look pretty versus how many bags that experience more life
Whenever I can't decide something like this, I feel there's no harm in thinking it over for a month or two. You don't have to be in a hurry--give yourself time to think things overThen you know it's not an impulse buy/sell, and you know you really do want it after all🥰

Jessie, love this topic! ❤ love hearing your views as always. The process of finding, researching then finally buying the bag that you love, can be very addictive in itself. That’s why you can’t stop. 😅 I am the same. I have been buying/curating luxury bags for 20 years. It’s a hobby, the more you look, the more you learn, then you become very knowledgeable, and difficult to stop. But I have actually stopped after 20 years. I just don’t like to have them sitting on my shelf, i feel I neglected them. (A bit like woody in Toy Story 😂) I really cannot use them all. Most of my bags are very rare, excellent condition, I can’t just take them out to supermarket or work 😅. I also have not sold any of my bags, (they are like Woody equivalent to me). I have been very selective in buying in the past 20 years. Each has its own memory. To me, I treasure the sweet memories (the journey, destiny, luck in acquiring my bags ❤❤) and they are not replaceable. So, I don’t want to get another bag. Plus the quality is very bad these days for most luxury brands anyway).
Have you been to Italy? Florence for example. Please go there, you can find extremely good leather bag for peanut price!!! Honestly, seeing those beautiful bags at such cheap prices, I ABSOLUTELY cannot bring myself to buy the so called luxury bags today. Hermes is the only brand maintains its high standards but please go to Florence, you will stop buying after you bought 1 or 2. In Italy. 😊😊 Because you will pay far less but for great quality and service. No joke.

The bags I would let go are the Bolide 27 (I hate the bigger Bolides with the ellipse leather piece at the front), the black Plume bag since it looks similar to the Coach Swing, and the etoupe Victoria since you said you don't really like the color. The green Jypsiere is too beautiful to let go.

I find that the best question to ask is if the bag(s) will work with how I see my future self. It makes it way easier to decide if and when I should sell. Good luck in your decisions!
Hi Jess! I know your mind doesn’t work this way, but if I could suggest, wait until fall to decide about the Victoria - the Crevette one is perfect for summer and the Étoupe one could be perfect for winter… but if you sell everything next week, I will still love you and love your videos ♥️😂
Honestly wait to get the 25. You are going through the steps of selling again but I can tell you’re getting to the point where you’re happy with your collection. You really are l, so give yourself some credit. You’re doing great and I know myself that it’s not easy! ❤
You could sell the granny green Jypsiere and get it in a diff color ( pre- loved)
KEEP THE BAGS Jess!! Unless you never use them or just don't want them. I am not one to "curate" my collection because my bags give me joy and that is enough of a reason to keep them. I have sold a few bags this past year but they were bags I just don't miss at all. Your collection is amazing!!!

Thanks for sharing your process, Jess. You don’t sound ready to sell more bags at the moment. And you sound unsure what you’re willing to sacrifice for the Kelly 25. Sitting with uncertainty and not acting can be really hard. There is real distress in that position. Maybe it can create a little space to remember that forcing a decision isn’t necessary as there is no deadline here. Approaching yourself with curiosity and experimenting with trust for yourself can reduce pressure until the moment when you’ll have greater confidence about what you want. In the meantime you’re saving what you can for the future and enjoying more of the present. Peace to you 🕊️

one Victoria is enough, keep the shrimp 🦐 one. the green Jipsyere is awesome! it‘s saying something that you take that one on holiday and put up with it 😆 i‘m thinking of getting one in a bright color too and style it with a scarf as a handle. it’s a cool bag!

I am working on slowly building my Hermes and paring back my other brands and I’m searching for the right style and color. You are right each one is precious! But the Green Jypsier is not giving you joy. Let her go to someone who will love her💚. The struggle is real😅.
If you want to sell bags, i would put them away. If you forget about them, sell them. If not, keep them!

I love the squishy Victoria! That bag looks so good. It’s the kind of style that a little wear and tear just makes better. Editing to add: if you have to ask the question, now’s not the time to sell. The Kelly will always be there, so I say don’t rush into anything.
Jess you have an awesome collection.., I have been following you for awhile and you have a hard time not buying luxury bags… Try this… carry every single bag you have, and if you’re not content after that then spurge.. Make an effort to do that☺️☺️
I have the feeling that you wouldn't really use the Kelly 25. Having it as a shelf trophy is fine, but I don't think they are practical bags either. I am moderately happy with my current bag collection. There isn't anything I am itching to buy right now. Btw, your makeup looks great! What is the lipstick color?
Maybe you should take a break and think about the Kelly 25. It sounds like you really don’t want to sell anything and it gets tiring and expensive to continuously sell and buy. You have a wonderful collection as it is!
Would you sell the b30 or k28 that you don’t wear as much for a k25 in pink/red that you might wear more? That’s what I would do, I have a k25 retourne and it’s so practical. Curious what you think! Thanks for sharing as always 🥰

Like just put that thought away for a little while and revisit it after you've stopped thinking about it? That's what I did and I realized I didn't need any more bags and that I didn't want to sell any of the bags I owned. The thing is, there will always be more bags. And the new M x LV collection years down the line will end up in the pre-loved market anyway because some people do buy it for the hype.
I'm almost glad I don't have any money for bags! I already need to get rid of my whole crybaby plushies. It was an impulse buy - I could get the whole set when it came out and now realise I don't like it or want it! I always say this - it's worth investing in a few key bags and aim for the one you really want.. But if you can afford to buy others and you know you can resell them, go ahead.

Try looking at why you are buying a bag. Do you want it because it’s a trend bag? Do you really care if you are “on trend” or would you rather have a bag that you love to use and works for your life style? I think if you stick to buying a bag because you love it and it works for you, not because it’s on trend at the moment or a good deal and the resale might get you back a good price later, you might be happier and spend less. It’s tough. Our collector brains make it really difficult to stop. Definitely take a breath and think about it.❤

I decided to stop, invested in palantir, that went up 5 time the price i got in with. It was amazing. Wish i bought more, but investing have risks and i just happened to nerdy interested in tech and that company. I understood what the possibility was by using hours reading, listen to CEO talk about the company etc....

That's the thing, when everybody knows it's time to sell. But my comment was intended to show how money can grow by investing. To show that women can be empowered trough investing. No need to be condescending about the topic or company. They exceeded expectations and earned their shares being valued.

I don’t buy bags but I understand the mindset. I always promise myself a no buy. Never lasts long & try again. Then the rationalization. She just shares those thoughts with us.

Jess, I don't think you should sell your jypsiere . It's superior to the bolide , the picotin , the Evelyn and the etoupe one ( that you want to sell ) . The jypsiere has the sangles and turn lock like the Birkin and Kelly . It's a very noticeable bag , not a bit less than birkins and kellies . Everytime you consider selling it I want to tell you not to . Yours has a very special color . It can go with so many poppy summer tops , sorbet colors and whites . It might not be the easiest bag to use , but u already have so many easy bags . Most beautiful things are not easy , at least this one has a strap ( the Birkin doesn't) . There's no perfect bag . It's only in your head and mine . If you really have to sell something then I think get rid of the etoupe ( it's nice but not a head turner ) also the brown and beige Evelyn and the other taupe hobo style . They won't buy you the bag you want but it's a start . You can save up and add to the amount .

You are getting into the same hassle again and again and as much as I appreciate all your insight and knowlege your beautiful bag collection and your personality I am getting truly bored by the reproduction of the same thoughts again and again. You seem to be stressed out by far more then you are enjoying your bags.
