Your reaction to amethyst is the same as mine! 😂My birthday is February, but when I think of gemstones I definitely prefer the more worthwhile investment stones like neon blue/green paraiba tourmalines over amethyst. Blue and green gemstones are just so stunning! Coloured diamonds too are a favourite for me - especially grey diamonds 😁
My fiance had my engagement ring made with a forest green Tsarvorite garnet and I'm obsessed - it's my favourite colour and the stone is just as sturdy but so much more affordable than an emerald. It's stunning 😍

Some people do the layering thing so naturally and it looks amazing on them. Also, where I come from, we have been doing it since our childhood as girls get jewelry from family members from the time they are born. They stack them bc they don't want to wear one necklace from one set of grandparents or aunts and not the other, etc.... The stacks of necklaces and bracelets grow with us as we grow up...
We were all happy when stacking became a thing.... Thank you.

It seems that even Hermes is embracing the gemstone trend? Their new engagement rings are super fun. My favorite is the one with tanzanite!
You come up with some really interesting jewelry pieces. I'm not big into jewelry except for my Navajo and Zuni squash blossom necklaces etc, Tahitian pearls, Chanel costume jewelry bought in the 1980s in Paris, and some real jewelry pieces bought at my regular jewelry company in Bangkok. But, I don't know all of the trends in jewelry. This is always good information as I can pass it on to folks I know.

@@CassieThorpe There are some incredible indigenous pieces in this country which don't go in and out of style. It took well over a decade to find the specific types of squash blossom necklaces that I was searching for and then the online bargaining started. And as for the gray Tahitian pearls, I dealt with a longtime family-owned Hawaiian pearl company during the pandemic. The owners were really up in age and near retirement. We did the designing over emails. And all of the pearls came from the same stock and area of Tahiti and were the last ones available.They even sent me a few leftover pearls free of charge. The price was excellent for both necklace and matching bracelet.

I just thought of changing to rose gold 😂 I’m usually yellow gold exclusive but I feel like all the stunning statement pieces from the high jewellery brands are always Rosegold and I’m tired of missing out. Also Hermès has everything in Rosegold and I’ve been thinking about some of their rings…

Ugh I feel the exact same way about Amethyst!! It’s my birthstone (Feb 23rd) and literally my least favorite out of alllllll of them!!!! I love gemstones so that really sucks. Hahaha
If you love that bluish green color I would highly recommend Alexandrite!! I have a ring stack with black diamond wedding ring with my engagement ring with white diamonds then my alexandrite ring and I get sooooo many compliments on them!!!

Layering is so fussy, can imagine people like it as an escape from the snooze fest of quiet luxury without needing to buy anything new 😂 but I still would rather see a chunkier style worn alone.

You don’t have to wear your birthstone, wear what you want‼️

I had to chime in with the gemstones! So I sell crystals and that includes crystal jewellery though not fine jewellery. Almost every single gemstone/crystal comes in so many different colours! You hurt my heart with the amethyst comment because purple amethyst is my favourite crystal and I'm currently doing a whole month of it on my business 😂. But for example amethyst comes in pink and green, and even red sometimes too! It can also be grey and black. Pretty much every single gemstone will have multiple colours it can come in. Also I just want to say, if you can go small business for your jewellery please do :) you can find some beautiful things out there! Also, antique jewellery! Especially with brooches is a great place to look
Geologist here, Amethyst is purple quartz. a ''gray/black amethyst'' is smokey quartz. dont lie to people. those aren't valuable. if someone is looking for amethyst there is no reason to sell them impurity included quartz like its not the most common mineral on the planet. what is prasiolite now just "green amethyst" just cuz its green quartz?!?
Hello everyone. Cassie my friend I’m off topic yet again don’t know how you deal with me. I must share this experience because I know how you care about us. I have spent a fortune and been love through the years. Well they sent a letter stating that they couldn’t meet my expectations they no longer wanted my business. Ok I got slightly derailed total disaster with the last collaboration then I bought the black speedy then I want to buy a bag charm. Well another disaster with the credit card well receive the letter. So be very careful to complain there doing you a favor serving how they feel like. I’m black listed from online and boutique.
