Hello Aviation Lovers,
Happy New Year and Welcome to a new season of windowseatguy trip report.
What's different in 2020? I will try to report more aspect of the flights, including but not limited to:
1. Travel in/out of the airport or destination footage
2. More detailed food review (esp when in business class)
3. Other flight-related or airline-related content (for example inflight shopping, aircraft model)
Also, starting from this video, all footage will be on iPhone 11 Pro. I hope this can help with the low light set up.
As for the first video, we sample Japan Airlines flight JL720 from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta to Narita International Airport in Japan.
I booked this flight on Alaska Miles, 25,000 for Jakarta - Tokyo (with 8 days stopover) - Singapore, which was amazing deal in my opinion. Unfortunately, this routing is no longer valid as of point of writing.
The flight was operated by a 16-year-old Boeing 767-300 (ER), with the Sky Suite II business class seat. The Boeing seats 199 passengers: 24 in business class and 175 in the economy class. In this flight, I had the chance to review the business class seat. The seat is quite narrow but very comfortable for this medium-haul flight. They are arranged in alternating 1-2-1 configuration
I had great fun on my first ever flight with Japan Airlines. I thought Japan Airlines delivered excellent service throughout the flight. Although the IFE and meal served in this flight can be improved (quality-wise, maybe this is due to catering in CGK).
