So precious! This song is so important for Tarja. She was only able to sing it properly a few years ago. It is one of my favourites. An epic much more intense than so many that get so much more spotlight time. Thank you!

yo me perdi el recital porque se acabaron las entradas pero fui al hotel donde estaban parando y me saque fotos con tarja y tuomas cuando volvian de almorzar jaja

E nítida a dificuldade dela de cantar a música, tanto que eles cortavam a parte "operistica". Ela evoluiu muitíssimo ao longo desses anos e ao ver um show dela (acho que de 2010) ela canta a música toda numa perfeição divina. ❤️

Amazing video! It wasn't their last live performance, though. They played again in Buenos Aires during the Once tour a few years later.
Hey! Really? The setlist.fm says that this song wasn't played since 2000.
Not true. They played "Slaying the Dreamer", and Roberto Olmedo, who was broadcasting the show on Rock&Pop radio, and was not familiar with the band's discography, said "Oh, they added Passion and the Opera in the end", because he confused Slaying the Dreamer's climax, with the staccato parts on Passion and the Opera.
They did not play Passion And the Opera during the Once tour.
@@bernardotapiocaOP is confused. I have the live performance of their Buenos Aires date recorded on cassette, they didn't play "Passion and the Opera".
The show was broadcasted live on a very popular rock radio station, and during the stream, a local radio host would make small commentary about the show inbetween tracks. When the band played "Slaying the Dreamer", Olmedo, the guy hosting the stream, said "Oh, I see they added Passion and the Opera" because he confused the climax on "Slaying the Dreamer" with the staccato notes on Passion and The Opera. But it was a mistake on his end.
I had the whole show recorded, it was Slaying the Dreamer, not Passion and the Opera. She did play "Passion and the Opera" in 2008 as a solo artist tho, and it is still my favorite version of the song.
