Hello! Last year I was in a Passion Planner full throttle for five months. But as I used it I was missing a space where I could journal. The monthly reflections and goals were excellent but I was still missing something. I went on a RUclips journey and watched many videos on other options out there. Low and behold the Hobonichi Cousin came to life for me. I ordered it and ordered a personalized cover for it and I LOVE ❤️ it!! I have been in it all year. It meets all the areas I was looking for and have discovered so many clever peeps out there with some creative ideas that I too have adopted. I’ll be ordering another for 2021!
I must admit I always miss my Hobonichi whenever I'm not in it. I haven't ordered my 2021 journal yet but I'm leaning toward the Cousin again!
I am in the Hobonici Cousin Avec. I like that it’s my monthly/weekly planner and my journal. I even have the same cover as you. Love it! I used to be an EC fan but I like the paper for my journal way better in a techo.
I looooooove this cover! I haven't taken it off all year. I miss a lot of elements of my Erin Condren but I just really don't like the toothiness of the new paper and it feels way too thick for my liking. Every page feels like cardstock! I also love that I have everything all in one place in my Hobonichi too. Thanks so much for watching!
I’ve been in the same planner since January... but now I’m getting the Hobonichi itch again. 😗
Ugh, the Hobonichi cravings are real! I really struggle with deciding between my Hobonichi and my Erin Condren, which is funny because they are so extremely different! The thought of having everything (planner, bullet journal, diary, notes, etc.) all in one beautifully bound book is really. what makes it so I can't walk away from the Hobonichi Cousin. The bold, fun colors of the Erin Condren is what I love about that planner too, so it's such a hard decision for me!
I've been pretty happy with the Hobonichi too. I use an A6 for personal use and an A5 for work stuff. Both are a great size, and I've been enjoying both sizes.
They're just such awesome all-around planners. I am a notorious planner hopper and I can't believe I've been consistently in the Cousin for 4 months straight! The paper is so dreamy and the simplicity really makes me swoon.

You know this planner looks pretty great! I want to use my Filofax inserts first but otherwise id be tempted to invest in one of these! But idk about the daily pages I’d hate to see anything blank pages. Perhaps I’ll give this a try for next year! Thanks for another great video! I’d love to see a chatty one!

I've used an Erin Condren for many years and loved it but this year's planner really just did not strike my fancy so I decided to try the Hobonichi. I absolutely adore everything about it and now I'm so torn on my planner for next year! When I do have blank pages in my Hobonichi I use them for lists, notes, pen tests, doodles, and practicing my hand lettering. The paper is just way too precious to go to waste!
I am still in my Jibun Techo A5 Slim since the last week of Nov 2019! I’m really enjoying it but am feeling the itch to try something else as well. I’ve set up a Personal rings after being inspired by your Malden bullet journal video and have been considering a Hobonichi Cousin. I’ve always been intimidated by the daily pages though. But since I’ve been setting aside about 2-3 inches in my Jibun columns each day to do a short quick journal entry and have established enough of the habit I am feeling like branching out into more space.
Thank you for watching! I'm glad the Malden bullet journal video was helpful. That's probably been the only consistent thing in my planning these days haha! I think I just love the process of setting up a new planner and I've accepted the fact that I will be a chronic planner switcher! I didn't I'd use the daily pages in the Hobonichi either but they've actually been really helpful in establishing a daily journaling habit. Even if I only write 3 sentences, or something like "Had a bad day and I don't want to talk about it", I like being able to look back and see little things that jog my memory about that day. I haven't for sure decided if I'll get one next year because my daily journaling habit is pretty well established and I could probably do it I one of the dozens of blank journals I already have, but I just love this book so much!
I REALLY love this. Love this size and that COVER!! I WISH WISH WISH the monthly view was Sunday to Saturday. I just can NOT do the Monday start.. UGH!!
Since I've been in a Hobonichi so much I've started working on some stickers, so maybe I'll have to sway you with some monthly date covers haha!
