What a bloke. Wish him the best. True story.....went to his dealership at Grantham a few years ago. Me and a friend went on the bikes. Just about to leave when he was closing up, he noticed I had something shiny on the edge of my tyre. He said "Wait there-I can't let you go like that!" He returned with some brake cleaner and cleaned my tyres!? He even jumped on my bike for a picture! Never forget that. They say never meet your heroes....rubbish. Legend. 🙌🏼
Wow...I remember watching on BBC television him on the Kawasaki zx7 battling Jamie whitam and nial McKenzie on the yzf boost Yamaha..great memories of amazing riding...Chris out rode what the Kawasaki should have been able to do with less power but a great chassis he made the bike dance around the circuits..absolute legend.
What a top man Chris is, He should be SIR Chris Walker if you ask me, ii followed all these guys racing through the years , i never heard any body talk bad about Chris, had friends who have met him, A Gentleman & A top man, Good luck in the 24 hr , ATB Wayne UK.......
If Chris is in a race then you can guarantee he's gonna be giving it his all. The stalker never gave up. A gentleman and thoroughly nice, down to earth bloke too. I think everybody liked and supported Chris, à true fans racer. I wish him all the best in his new endeavours. 👍👍
Always liked Chris. Passionate about his sport. Loved watching him on the track during his BSB days. Especially duelling with Hodgeson and the rest of the field. Best of luck with the new adventure.
what a pleasure to listen to someone who has been there and done it and saying it as it is,,,,,no paddock "psycobabble" bs, just talking racing and obviously loving it. PERHAPS there should be a veterans series?, like in other sports ,,,,but then, swinging a club or a racket isnt quite as focusing as jumping on a race bike when you are in your fifties!!. good luck and safe racing mr walker.
What a pleasure it was watching Chris race. Watching from the infield at Donington and seeing that Suzuki let go was utterly devastating but what great racing he gave us over his career.
Stalker, what a legend, still feel emotional thinking about the day Chris lost the championship through bad luck, looking forward to seeing him on the bike again
Great news!! Stalker will definitely give it his all. He's got a fantastic team with him so should do well. I'll definitely be watching how things go. Have a fantastic season Chris
I still remember what I think was his first national win. I went to a lot of race meetings back in those days and he won a national 250 race at Donington, quite easily as I recall. I had never heard of him before that, he seemed to come from nowhere. I don't think it was long before he was on the Old Spice Ducatis after that. Always been a fan since.
It’s great to see Chris and that recognisable helmet design back on a bike racing competitively… We all have great memories of watching Chris & Hodgson battling in BSB. I have an SRAD in my collection of bikes that always reminds me of Chris and what he did on that bike! 👏🏼
Good on ya Mr Walker.. Nice to see you're going racing again.. As an older rider (60) just make sure you take plenty of Flexiseq for the aches and pains. 🏍️💨👍
Still my favourite rider of all time. Never caught a break. I was as upset as him in 2000, I was at the end of the straight and saw his engine blow. The memory of him that sticks is seeing him in the beer aisle of a supermarket near that weekends circuit when he just just looked up when he saw me and said 'don't tell anyone' as he and a mechanic filled the trolley! I think he recognised me from the day earlier having signed a t shirt for my daughter. Proper racer and a top bloke.
The past couple of years I have been catching up on all the great racing that goes on in the U.K. on youtube, for we never get any of that in the U.S. Chris is a really great rider and probably has the best nickname in all of racing. There are such great nicknames in the U.K. like Rocket Ron, The Morcambe Missle, The Bingley Bullet and so on. But the Stalker is the best name ever! Sounds like he should be a fighter pilot. Good luck on your comeback!
What a brilliant interview, it’s great to see Chris is motivated to compete, and with what sounds like a Great team, I can’t wait to see how the team get on...
Awesome news👍🏻 I've watched Chris on good form in the Ducati Tri-Options cup series. That man can battle with the best. Looking forward to watching him kick ass!
I was always a Chris Walker fan. Right from his debut in BSB. I used to go to every round of the BSB back then. Up until I left the UK in 98. By then he was on the Kawasaki. Then in WSB you have to support the Brits. I hope he does well in the endurance races. I have been to a few of them over the years. Endurance for riders and spectators alike. He obviously still gets a buzz out of racing so why not.
I remember doing a track day at Donnington and there i was giving it the berries and this bike flew past me at the old hairpin as if I were standing still. It was Chris Walker taking his girlfriend for a spin on the pillion. Put things into perspective.
Impressive to run a 24 hour race in early 50s. I club race about 10 weekends a year at 51 and I’m worn out after a six lap sprint race on R1. I look forward to watching him.
I was on my honeymoon and saw him win at Assen many moons ago, well worth getting piss wet through to see him come from last to win, great down to earth guy aswell, good luck Chris 👍🏍️
The Housewives ' favourite is back. Stalker loves anything on 2 wheels. Trials, Superbike anything. If it's got 2 wheels and an engine he'll race it. 👍
i see this boy finish second, by a wheel, on a suzuki rgv 250, to winsor jones on a fzr 400 rr. significance being, it was walkers first race as a novice! he won race 2 if i remember corrrectly, mallory park. he rose through the ranks of road racing very quickly, and i seen him win the race of the year, entering it on the day because it was pi$$ing down, he was aquaplaning and sliding through the esses, beating john reynolds et al, on 750s, in fact reynolds pitted, claiming his visor had steamed up! truth was, none of them could catch walker, on his 250 or a 400, i cant remember, but it was a huge win, by a country mile.

He looks well, great to see him prospering.
