What a travesty. The folks who produced this cheap version of a very great work of art should feel
shame. It bares very little relationship to the Conrad tale.
It angers me too see such trash
made of real art. The horror of it.
Were Conrad to view this mutilation of
    this great tale I am
sure he would be angered as well.
Folks who create such monstrocities as this should
be incarcerated as common thieves, and forever injoined
    from producing any future work
    in the medium.
    Disgusting !
    All very, very, terribly shameful.

Those of us who worked on this film endeavoured to create the best work we could. I'm sure we're all sorry it didn't meet your standards. By the way, this film's cinematographer, Robert Richardson -- a common thief as I remember him -- his future work earned him 3 Oscars, 7 Oscar nominations, and 4 BAFTA nominations (JFK, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Shutter Island, The Aviator, to name a few). The film's writer, Vince DiPersio - an uncommon thief - went on to receive 3 Oscars nominations, multiple Emmy awards and nominations, and the Robert Kennedy Award for Journalism. Myself, the producer, and the sound editor - commonly uncommon thieves if ever there were - garnered between us over 16 Emmys and nominations, 4 Saturn nominations, and 1 Sitges. We all hope to get back to working on films when we get out of cinema jail.
