I’ve seen a lot of people saying the performance wasn’t as impressive as the other groups but I think Pentagon’s strength is very unique and not necessarily that obvious because they don’t do complex synchronised choreos. But their production skills whether in terms of music or stage performance is so unique. For this one they turned a hip hop tune into a rock one whilst keeping the over the top crazy concept. Let’s not even talk about their other performances because they’re worth a thesis. But pentagon is one of the most creative and unconventional Kpop group I know. (And their vocals are out of this world)

Another thing is they don't know about Wooseok back injury and other members old injury. They expect them to do the same as other group but universe know their health is at risk if they did extreme dance performance. Furthermore among all groups PTG have the best singing performance but they were blinded with dance performance only. I just hope they will have mission to produce own music, then only they can realize how hard it is to produce own music.
Violet Danielle I’m really happy with their 2nd place. I think when judged by professionals they have better chance to be ranked fairly. But kpop fans be like “they didn’t deserve to rank 2nd” or “other groups voted for them because they’re senior” like bitch?? That’s just too intellectual for you to comprehend their level of ingenuity that’s all. I’m dreading the view counts because their popularity doesn’t reflect their talent. Imagine anyone else doing those simple moves? That would indeed look a little bit dull but because pentagon puts meaning in every single steps and details and because their presence can be felt just through the way they stare at the camera it looks like a whole music video. Honestly I’m so mad just writing abt it lmao
For me, the perfromance is still powerful even with less dance because i am really falling love with their own colour and style. I can see them in that song eventhough very good is not their song. So far, i impressed so much how they rock the stage.

The one thing that makes Pentagon so special and their performances so quirky and likable is that they have their own personalities. They don’t let themselves be molded by the industry they strive in. They have flaws and they accept the flaws and their flaws are what makes them relatable. I believe being flawless is no longer the norm. I wish more people accepted this.
Pentagon: - contributed to choreo - rearranged the song from hip hop to hard rock - added their own lyrics (i.e. yuto's rap penned by wooseok) - gave 1000% into the performance a lot of people say that ptg don't have the best dancing ability, but i think they just choose to showcase other stuff during their stages. for example, this performance is already very hectic with the concept and the raps, so adding more complex choreography would just clutter up the whole thing. so imo they just decided to go the route that would make their stage cleaner. unis have seen them do more difficult choreo (e.g. "sha la la" and personally the "like this" choreo is challenging), and literally ALL OF THEM know how to dance and dance well (shout out to shinwon and changgu). they just choose to not show it.
May I add the "Can you feel it" and "Critical beauty" choreos? The hand gestures in the first one were insane and all of them were synchronised, while in the second their legs movemts, especially in the dance break, were just o_o

재해석무대에서 원곡느낌 찾으시는분 많으시네 ㅎㅎㅎ 일단 블락비분들 무대가 워낙 강렬하고 잘 하시니까 재해석하는 곡만 봐도 원곡이 생각나는건 어쩔 수 없지만 우리 애들은 의상 컨셉이랑 무대 소품, 구성을 영화 매드맥스라는 컨셉에 맞게 무대를 본인들 무대에 맞게 꾸민것 뿐임. 그리고 내생각에는 충분히 그 무대를 블락비분들과 차별화되게 잘 소화했다고 생각함.

I'm loving the changes in the music. This arrangement was sickening. Not to mention Hongseok and his abs. I'm guessing that if they were to perform this in front of a live audience they would kill it. The audience would go crazy. Plus if Block-B were to see this, they would be proud. They should take note how Pentagon is part of rearranging the song, thinking about the concept itself and being part of making the choreography. They are pointing that Pentagon's dance is just average that's why they don't place first but i just want to point out that this is not a dancing competition because PENTAGON IS BEYOND THAT. Look at their stage presence, those facial expressions, the arrangement of the song and the conçept itselt is so amazing. And people should know the fact that most Kpop groups have systems behind that help them with the rearrangement, production and all that. The merits they are praising are probably not what their idols have done. Sad but true, that's the industry. Not a very fair play for a self-producing group like Pentagon. I'm not saying that they don't have support from the company. But it seems like Cube is not much of a experienced agency when it comes to supporting their artists in competition (look at the case of G Idle: the girls have gained in popularity mostly thanks to Soyeon's talents and the group's uniqueness). I always think to myself that the ones that are better at taking exams are not necessarily more talented. Pentagon might not be outstanding in this show but as fans, we know for sure that they are talented as a self-producing group, and they have always made good music themselves outside the show. No matter what people say, I'll keep supporting them.
sejha Cube’s goal (at least before the takeover this year) is to train self-producing (for composing, writing, and arrangement) artists who are good at other things (acting, variety shows, musical theater, etc) so that they are “artists” and not just “idols”.

Whether you're a fan or not, you can't deny that PENTAGON *nailed* this performance. From concept, facial expressions, vibe, charisma, vocals, raps and even dance (a dance that suits the rock concept which is powerful. It doesn't need to be complicated and with lots of stunts).
Agree!! For me when it comes to PENTAGON, the first thing that came up was facial expression and stage presence. I have never seen such performance like them. They are so visually captivating. Also, I always watch Kino fancam and he has this aura where when you watch he perform you just can't help but just think "Wow! he's really born for this" and not many idols have that.

all groups are doing amazing and adding their own colors to the songs BUT Pentagon deliver concert level performance. they make you want to be part of the audience and cheer for them. you can tell as seniors and a group with creative freedom they don't give a shit about boundaries, they DEFINE them.

They don't get caught up in being and looking perfect or aesthetic when they perform. They're energy is infectious. The way that Pentagon mentions Universe in everything they do, they call us out in their performances, they’re always including universe in their videos. They truly believe that they can trust Universe. We have to return the favor, we have to give our all!
I think after the whole drama and the fakes betraying them in 2018 they're just happy to see that we are still here no matter what. They feel at ease with us cuz they know the REAL universe love them and appreciate all of their colors

I'll never shut up about how much I like this. What feels like the main concept of the song is constant flow of energy, and you can feel this only with the arrangement. The beat is always building up until it's Jinho's part. Then starts building up again until the end when they start screaming and jumping around and a crazy amount of energy hits you in the face. This gets me so hyped up, I feel like a could run a marathon
one thing that needs pointing out is the fact that pentagon owns and belongs on the stage. these boys DELIVER, in every aspect. everything, from the arrangement, choreography, stage props, vocals, rap and facial expressions have you hooked because they're well put together by the fact they're having fun. those boys ENJOY the stage so much you can't help but feel excited too without even realizing it. that's stage presence through and through
I honestly can't decide what to do with my emotions right now, this originally had me so hyped and then I was just absolutely SHATTERED by their second performance.. and now I'm seeing this again and I want to get hyped but I am just so fucking emotional. Jinho's ending ment statement of "I really felt it, this is a family" rings so true - and not just for them as a group, but for us fans as a whole. All Universe are sharing the same feelings right now. We're all one big family sending off a precious family member and wishing them well, with all the love in the world. Fighting, Jinho, we'll be waiting and loving you always.
My heart still hurts after the second performance, but watching this again eased some of the pain. This would be their last powerful stage as OT8 for the next few years and they went out with a bang. That will be enough to leave a proud memory as we wait for OT9 to happen again. "Welcome to my Universe" will always remind us of the big family we share with them; the "trust we can't see" that matters so much. We'll always be here for the boys. Fighting PTG! Fighting UNIVERSE!
i love how in each of their rtk stages, they always had those parts where the audience could cheer/shout/get hyped along with them (like the "wo~ah" before 'welcome to my universe' and the "ayyy~" after wooseok's '다 같이' near the end of this perf, also the shout after hui's "shout out to the sky" in follow, etc.). it makes the performance even more enjoyable to the audience because it's as if they're not just showing off what they got, they're also inviting their audience to go crazy with them. and as an art student myself, i've learned that aside from showing your skills, art (no matter what form it takes, from visual to performance art) that interact with its viewers tend to leave more impact
Respect pentagon they respect block's concept while not overdoing it just add some colours to know that it is from pentagon. Even block b's very good choreo is simple and pentagon respect that and instead they turn into a wholesome performance! Their aura is no joke especially kino amd wooseok! All of them slay!

the thing about pentagon is that they look well seasoned. a performance isn't just about synchronized choreo, though it can be...it doesn't have to be and doesn't need to be. pentagon truly did an amazing job with what they're most skilled in, vocals, facial expressions, composing and using a full stage to make a complete production. pentagons, kings only.
pentagon is not the best about dancing but they're definetly the best about stage presence. this show is about stage presence not having an intense chereography. their stage presence was better even if you multiply all the other's stage presence LMAO.

This is what you called a performance. Something about music, dance and stage. A whole package must i say. not just dance choreography alone. Pentagon did all the work to this performance. Starting from song arrangement. Hui did it all by himself. Their stage and choreography was kino’s idea and the members. I’m proud of them doing all the work. That’s the battle you called. Others would be amaze at how synchronized the other groups are and how they made difficult stunts during performance. But pentagon is different. They put together all the elements in a performance. That’s how good they are.

They are the only group here that make the stage their playground . Looks like they r having a blast. That stands out to me. Not the stunts and fancy moves. Everyone is amazing but PENTAGON hypes me up and make me want to see MORE
same, no shade to them but i'm really frustrated that tbz placed first for song of king (i really wanted onf to win because that performance stuck with me after the episode- also they rearranged it so nicely and that was the only song of king performance that was only recognized at the chorus while paying homage to the original) cuz i know their skill as dancers is so much higher but i saw so many inconsistencies in their dance. the intro started out strong and i was really excited but the rest of it was disappointing to me because they were out of sync, messy and just had a lot of stunts and the table lifting?? like oneus did a lot of stunts WITH A BULLYING CONCEPT- virtually the same thing but they placed last for it?? so unfair imo and i know the groups voted for it but it's irritating me. and i know people are gonna be voting for their fav group whether or not that was their favorite performance, so irritating ugh. and yes back to your comment i really appreciate that, i think pentagon and verivery used the whole stage creatively and nicely and i genuinely appreciate that. sorry for such a long response but it's genuinely irritating me...and the violin in the next episode??? like- when we said make this a performance in all aspects i don't think we meant to make yourself an orchestra...
I personally love to attend the concert of artist who can hype the audience along with them like how the one of kpop king BIGBANG does... rather than the concert only showing gymnastics n acrobatic acts. No live singing No stage hype ... Bluhhh No offense to any artist but it's my personal thought that real artist should not be able to make the stage feel belongs to themselves only but to the whole audience as well. ANd that's what we can find in Pentagon.

They know! Kino talks a lot on Casper radio about how hard we work to get them to win and is extremely thankful. The fandom isn't big but the support is extremely strong and they're aware. They always look up what's going on online (even though it also means they come across a lot of hate but let's not talk about that)

I just love how they’re able to create an entire atmosphere on stage. Everybody was super intrigued and watching at the edge of their seat, wondering what would happen next, just like in their very first performance, when it stopped everybody (including me) just held their breath. It’s more than just singing and dancing, we know all groups on the show are great at those things. Some have decided to show us showmanship, Pentagon is giving us an EXPERIENCE. In caps.

a lot of people say that ptg don't have the best dancing ability, but i think they just choose to showcase other stuff during their stages. for example, this performance is already very hectic with the concept and the raps, so adding more complex choreography would just clutter up the whole thing. so imo they just decided to go the route that would make their stage cleaner.
unis have seen them do more difficult choreo (e.g. "sha la la" and personally the "like this" choreo is challenging), and literally ALL OF THEM know how to dance and dance well (shout out to shinwon and changgu). they just choose to not show it.
May I add the "Can you feel it" and "Critical beauty" choreos? The hand gestures in the first one were insane and all of them were synchronised, while in the second their legs movemts, especially in the dance break, were just o_o

재해석무대에서 원곡느낌 찾으시는분 많으시네 ㅎㅎㅎ 일단 블락비분들 무대가 워낙 강렬하고 잘 하시니까 재해석하는 곡만 봐도 원곡이 생각나는건 어쩔 수 없지만 우리 애들은 의상 컨셉이랑 무대 소품, 구성을 영화 매드맥스라는 컨셉에 맞게 무대를 본인들 무대에 맞게 꾸민것 뿐임. 그리고 내생각에는 충분히 그 무대를 블락비분들과 차별화되게 잘 소화했다고 생각함.

And people should know the fact that most Kpop groups have systems behind that help them with the rearrangement, production and all that. The merits they are praising are probably not what their idols have done. Sad but true, that's the industry. Not a very fair play for a self-producing group like Pentagon. I'm not saying that they don't have support from the company. But it seems like Cube is not much of a experienced agency when it comes to supporting their artists in competition (look at the case of G Idle: the girls have gained in popularity mostly thanks to Soyeon's talents and the group's uniqueness). I always think to myself that the ones that are better at taking exams are not necessarily more talented. Pentagon might not be outstanding in this show but as fans, we know for sure that they are talented as a self-producing group, and they have always made good music themselves outside the show. No matter what people say, I'll keep supporting them.
And I want to add that every group in RTK looks forward to them everytime they are about to perform because of their expressions & stage presence ^^
sejha Cube’s goal (at least before the takeover this year) is to train self-producing (for composing, writing, and arrangement) artists who are good at other things (acting, variety shows, musical theater, etc) so that they are “artists” and not just “idols”.

Whether you're a fan or not, you can't deny that PENTAGON *nailed* this performance. From concept, facial expressions, vibe, charisma, vocals, raps and even dance (a dance that suits the rock concept which is powerful. It doesn't need to be complicated and with lots of stunts).
Agree!! For me when it comes to PENTAGON, the first thing that came up was facial expression and stage presence. I have never seen such performance like them. They are so visually captivating. Also, I always watch Kino fancam and he has this aura where when you watch he perform you just can't help but just think "Wow! he's really born for this" and not many idols have that.
Yet there are other fans from groups on RTK started fanwars because they said Pentagon doesn't deserve to be 2nd place on the 1st round of RTK. I mean even the artists itself doesn't even complain about their rankings. Yet the toxic fans drag and hate all of them except for their biased group. I literally saw a comment saying "Pentagons performance is not creative at all, its so cliche. Is just that the music is just intense. They don't deserve being in second place." Like wtf? Kino's facial expressions in every songs is on another level...
I'll never shut up about how much I like this. What feels like the main concept of the song is constant flow of energy, and you can feel this only with the arrangement. The beat is always building up until it's Jinho's part. Then starts building up again until the end when they start screaming and jumping around and a crazy amount of energy hits you in the face. This gets me so hyped up, I feel like a could run a marathon
one thing that needs pointing out is the fact that pentagon owns and belongs on the stage. these boys DELIVER, in every aspect. everything, from the arrangement, choreography, stage props, vocals, rap and facial expressions have you hooked because they're well put together by the fact they're having fun. those boys ENJOY the stage so much you can't help but feel excited too without even realizing it. that's stage presence through and through
I honestly can't decide what to do with my emotions right now, this originally had me so hyped and then I was just absolutely SHATTERED by their second performance.. and now I'm seeing this again and I want to get hyped but I am just so fucking emotional. Jinho's ending ment statement of "I really felt it, this is a family" rings so true - and not just for them as a group, but for us fans as a whole. All Universe are sharing the same feelings right now. We're all one big family sending off a precious family member and wishing them well, with all the love in the world. Fighting, Jinho, we'll be waiting and loving you always.
My heart still hurts after the second performance, but watching this again eased some of the pain. This would be their last powerful stage as OT8 for the next few years and they went out with a bang. That will be enough to leave a proud memory as we wait for OT9 to happen again. "Welcome to my Universe" will always remind us of the big family we share with them; the "trust we can't see" that matters so much. We'll always be here for the boys. Fighting PTG! Fighting UNIVERSE!

i love how in each of their rtk stages, they always had those parts where the audience could cheer/shout/get hyped along with them (like the "wo~ah" before 'welcome to my universe' and the "ayyy~" after wooseok's '다 같이' near the end of this perf, also the shout after hui's "shout out to the sky" in follow, etc.). it makes the performance even more enjoyable to the audience because it's as if they're not just showing off what they got, they're also inviting their audience to go crazy with them. and as an art student myself, i've learned that aside from showing your skills, art (no matter what form it takes, from visual to performance art) that interact with its viewers tend to leave more impact

the thing about pentagon is that they look well seasoned. a performance isn't just about synchronized choreo, though it can be...it doesn't have to be and doesn't need to be. pentagon truly did an amazing job with what they're most skilled in, vocals, facial expressions, composing and using a full stage to make a complete production.

same, no shade to them but i'm really frustrated that tbz placed first for song of king (i really wanted onf to win because that performance stuck with me after the episode- also they rearranged it so nicely and that was the only song of king performance that was only recognized at the chorus while paying homage to the original) cuz i know their skill as dancers is so much higher but i saw so many inconsistencies in their dance. the intro started out strong and i was really excited but the rest of it was disappointing to me because they were out of sync, messy and just had a lot of stunts and the table lifting?? like oneus did a lot of stunts WITH A BULLYING CONCEPT- virtually the same thing but they placed last for it?? so unfair imo and i know the groups voted for it but it's irritating me. and i know people are gonna be voting for their fav group whether or not that was their favorite performance, so irritating ugh. and yes back to your comment i really appreciate that, i think pentagon and verivery used the whole stage creatively and nicely and i genuinely appreciate that. sorry for such a long response but it's genuinely irritating me...and the violin in the next episode??? like- when we said make this a performance in all aspects i don't think we meant to make yourself an orchestra...
I personally love to attend the concert of artist who can hype the audience along with them like how the one of kpop king BIGBANG does... rather than the concert only showing gymnastics n acrobatic acts. They are like wild beast roaming in the forest freely, doing whatever they want do and screaming freedom, that's what I feel from their performance and quite different from other group, it's dark but they can do it way darker...they are so great!

I just love how they’re able to create an entire atmosphere on stage. Everybody was super intrigued and watching at the edge of their seat, wondering what would happen next, just like in their very first performance, when it stopped everybody (including me) just held their breath. It’s more than just singing and dancing, we know all groups on the show are great at those things. Some have decided to show us showmanship, Pentagon is giving us an EXPERIENCE. In caps.

pentagon's stage presence is really amazing and I love how well they use rock elements in their songs (for both very good and basquiat). Would be amazing if they had a cb with a rock song as the title track or more rock songs in their discography! :D
