LOL I just had to have a good laugh when they talked about dizziness, obviously, I've been there, the gas makes you quite dizzy lol I was fortunate enough to take a trip out there before they covered up and blocked off the old hidden highway, and it was definitely a sight to behold.
I just came across your channel. I am enjoying the history as well as the ghost stories. Thank you for the work you do to bring us these videos, new subscriber 👍
I moved to a rural area about 30 minutes south of Allentown and the house was newly built, but the ground was originally Indian territory and the documents later found by one of my neighbors in the library in Allentown showed the area was an Indian burial ground. We had so many events happen in our houses, and the feeling of a presence was so heavy, and it would make you feel like you needed to leave. I was afraid most of the time I lived there We had poltergeist activities in the houses and the woman who was an artist, she painted an Indian and she made several paintings of this Indian and the night she heard things being thrown around in her art loft, the next morning she went up and everything was thrown all over and the painting of the Indian had a scar on his face that was new. She had sold a painting to the library of this Indian and she had just had the impulse to paint him and she didn't have any source material. She just thought it was an Indian she created In the library where they hung the painting, that painting also changed and had the same scar now. In the library talking to the staff, they said that they bought it because it was of an Indian that was famous in the area. They showed her sketches in their collection of the same Indian that she painted, and it was not a random idea, she had channeled this Indian and she painted him without a scar, but now the paintings had the scar that he actually had. We saw and heard things I am positive that this area is haunted. The area dated back to William Penn and the roads had dated back to the 1600s and the Indians before that had trails. The trails actually were used to be roads and they formed the boundary of the counties The last day I was there I still felt the presence and the days leading up to moving, I actually left the house at night because it was too uncomfortable to be in the house I could look up the stairs and feel that someone was there The cat would sit and stair and cry and not move It gives me chills just thinking about it
Centralia is super easy to miss if you don't know where you are, but it's really mostly the vapors from the coal fires. Honestly, the scariest part of Centralia is the fact that the fire is unlikely to stop for several hundreds of years and will consume several towns, including several my fiance's family have homes on before it finally has no more fuel.
Fright Night, the old county Pridon in Jim Thorpe is privately owner now and offers tours, take a flashlight as the basement cells are pitch black and horrid.
Don't forget about the Jennie Wade house in Gettysburg, that too is very haunted location, it's only called the Jennie Wade house because that's where she died, she never lived there, it was actually her sister's house
I was at the Jenny Wade house when the rope in front of her “body” started moving like someone was playing jump rope. This was like 20 years ago but I’ll never forget it! The largest guy in the room was so freaked out he ran over and stopped the rope.
I was born in Philadelphia and lived there for 52 yeards. I now live in the Poconos. I worked downtown most of my life in Philly in the historic area and the city is so horrible haunted that those who born there don't even pay attention to what we see walking around, or hear. When i was a little girl in S. Philly I saw and/or heard a few ghosts in the older house. That entire city, and state, is embedded with the spirits of all those centuries. I've encountered ghosts all over PA. We accept it as part of the history of the state.
Thanks so much for tuning in to the channel @hauntedbearchild. We've heard a lot of spooky stories and hauntings from Philadelphia. Do you remember any specific instances of your ghostly encounters you'd like to share with us?
Glad I'm to smart for marriage. 99 percent are lying cheating whores and don't deserve a dime when there caught. They don't deserve a free ride in life either weather it be money or the next guys coat tails they decide to ride.
My Daughter graduated from Gettysburg College and you should have explored their campus while you were there the College has several ghosts as well. My Daughter did experience several ghostly incidents while she was in college there.
Although he was an ABSOLUTE SCOUNDREL, if hadn't been for Daniel E. Sickles, there would be no battfield. When asked why there wasn't a monument to him, Sickles said HELL, THE WHOLE DAMN BATTLEFIELD IS MY MONUMENT!!😮😮😮😮
My husband and I made two trips to Gettysburg, both were wrought with bad vibes and arguing like we’ve never experienced about literally nothing. As a history nerd, this was always a place I’d wanted to visit but Gettysburg had an affect on me that I’ve never experienced before or since. I’m good never going again.
I lived near the area and visited it regularly. Never experienced the issues that you have. Sorry your experiences were so bad. Perhaps the 'anticipation' of something maybe set you on edge? I went ghost hunting and never met the famed ghosts, but i dont doubt others have had experiences.
I worked in the Cat and it is haunted. I remember being down in the store room and I remember walking down the hallway past the women's bathroom and nobody was in the bathroom yet the toilet flushed. In the store room a sleeve of cups just randomly fell, I was eating my salad and I felt someone or thing sat right beside me in the cafeteria when I sat down the spot was smooth while I was sitting a butt imprint was very visable had appeared out of nowhere. I played it off calmly got up and moved over to this giant table. I've heard feet running up the stairwell when no students were in the building at all, plus at the rate of speed that they were going it would've been humanly impossible to move that fast a person would break their legs or fall going up the steps.
6:09 it’s actually the attic of the Early American room in Pitt’s Cathedral of Learning where the bed is (you didn’t show it) and there is the heaviest, most awful feeling in there.
Absolutely! My first story starts back in 2009, I think we were on our second or third annual trip to the town for the re-enactments. To keep it short, we were on a ghost walk around the backside of the middle school, on the border of the national park. For those who do not know, you typically cannot be on park property after dark. A line of trees separated the two, and our guide had given us some time to walk on our own, within eyesight of course. I remember just getting this gut feeling telling me to stick my head into that tree line, and man what I heard still scares me to this day. It was like I had stepped back in time to July of 1863, I heard gun and cannon fire, men shouting and screaming, someone yelling “we gotta get out of here!”. I pulled my head back, in shock, but I stuck my head back into the grove and heard nothing, it had just stopped. I stepped back, told my family, and got back to the tour. It took me awhile to process all of that.
The next case occurs fairly close to the same area about a year later. Again, we were on a guided tour but were on the other side of the middle school football field. This time, our guide took us into that part of the tree line, and back to a small pond. We were instructed to stay on path, and not go out of the trees on the other side as that was park territory. My family and I started walking down to an area that there were not a lot of other people ghost hunting, and broke out our EVP recorders, K2 meters, and dowsing rods. Although we were not catching much on the K2 and dowsing rods, I very distinctly remember feeling watched the entire time we were in those woods. We began to conduct some role play, as farmers from the nearby area, and even brought some loose leaf tobacco and left a little offering for the spirits. We decided to leave, but left our EVP equipment running. As we were walking out, my mom can be heard fumbling around trying to put some equipment away, but a very stern voice cuts into the recording saying “look at me you farm girl!” followed by “I tried to run away.” We could not see any other ghost hunters, and certainly could not hear talking with our ears at the time. We only discovered the EVP’s after getting back to our hotel and listening to the recordings, which sent shivers down our spines.
Lastly, and probably the shortest story, was when my mom, wife, and mother were all at the Farnsworth House. We had never been before, but that trip decided to do their haunted tour. We had gone up into their attic and sat down on their bleachers to listen to the guide talk about the history, and then the hauntings of the home. Nothing happened during the tour, and we left to go grab some dinner. It was at that point my wife told me that she felt like someone had grabbed her butt. She was startled, but didn’t want to make a scene. At the time, she was very skeptical of hauntings and other spooky things. We went back and talked to the guide, who confirmed there was a spirit there who did “occasionally grab pretty women's butts, or pull on their hair”.
Gettysburg is 100% haunted, and I will always love it there. I’m really glad I stumbled onto your channel, and you have taken the time to ask me about my experiences. Thank you very much! And thank you for your awesome videos, I look forward to new uploads while I binge through your older content.
I went to Gettysburg last month and it was interesting to say the least. Me, my sister, and my mom walked up the stairs of a crystal shop up to the second floor, I got super dizzy and nearly fell back down the stairs when I first stepped onto the second floor. We walked around the battle field and we were by one of the monuments and I swear to god I heard movements from in the forest as I was reading the monument. Sadly Little Round Top was closed when we went but we are going back over the summer.
I've gone to the Cathedral of Learning a million times, and I didn't know about it's history TT I always just called it the castle building. They let the public in, and there are tons of hidden passages and rooms for different cultures.
I live in Philly and have my entire life and haven't been to any of these places. Not even Eastern State Penitentiary. But there's this old jail named "Holmesburg Prison" that I swear id haunted but it's never been investigated to show but I just know. Everytime I drive by there for some reason it feels like it won't let me take my eyes off it until I cannot longer see it. No other place has ever made me feel like that but there's something with that place
Thanks for checking out this video @jokesonyou5827. We hope you get a chance to explore these places some day. Do you have any more info at all about Holmesburg Prison?
I think Centralia is supposed to be the inspiration for the video game Silent Hill, which is also a coal mining abandoned town. Except I think it's supposed to be in West Virginia instead of Pennsylvania.
About 5 years ago, I performed in the international fair at the Cathedral of Learning. The air was heavy and cold and the lighting was dark. The strangest encounter I had was with my friends and we were changing into our uniforms. We heard a door slam shut so we went out into the hallway. Nothing was there. So we went back into the room and not 2 minutes later we heard another door slam shut and laughing. Nothing was there. Another thing I recount is that my phone was at 85% and then at the end of the show not 1 hour later my phone was at 5%. For a 13 year old at the time, it was quite the strange feeling I had.
I was in the Hienz History Center back in like 2014 or so and they had a display of items from slave ships. I went in and i could feel the shackles on my ankles and wrist, the collar on my neck. Such pain and sorrow filled me. My then girlfriend pulled me out of there and calmed me down. It was awful.
In 2002 deputy sheriff Christopher Rooney my class mate/ roommate gave a speaking assignment on Centralia very interesting. Also not very known the Titanic had a coal fire burning before leaving port.
Thank you. I used to live in Cameron County so that was very interesting. I've lived the majority of my life in Pittsburgh so the Cathedral of Learning was also informative.
Bartender here at the Farnsworth house Inn located in Gettysburg, said to have been the building Jenny Wade was shot from. The building was there through the entire war
Thanks so much for tuning in to the channel @aoyehits1444. Have you personally experienced anything particularly spooky or paranormal working at Farnsworth?
There is at least one creepypasta that is based in Centralia. I only managed to read part of it before I was caight up in having to do necessary tasks. Couldn't find that story again for the life of me. LOL
Me and my buddies are paranormal fanatics one time on October we went up there for the night and all 6 of us we seen a shawdow disappear in the woods but a really awsome thing that i encountered was I was walking down railroad avenue and as I was walking I had a weird feeling and I heard a train whistle now remember this was at 3 am so as I stop an try to hear ive seen a light down towards westbound and as I see this light I heard a whistle and huff and puff from a steam engine from a decent distance but close enough to hear it and the light and sound disappeared I know it sounds crazy but I swear on anyone's life I knew what I saw.
We just drove through Centrailia last week. Felt sadness but had no clue there was any "activity" there or we might have parked and gone for a little walk. Im very sensitive to paranormal activity , living in a home Where a tragic suicide happened. Have had experiences at "The Inn at Maple Grove" seeing a person walk through the kitchen area and "something" in the fireplace where an indian was hung....
I haved lived in PA State all of my life. I have toured many of the regions and attractions mentioned in this video. There was NO paranormal presence anywhere or anyplace whatsoever. Still gave a thumbs up for my state.
i live 2 miles from centralia...and never came across spooky things going on in the town...and i know ppl who lived there and never noticed anything weird going on in centralia ,,most of this stuff is just hype
Thanks for tuning in and for that awesome suggestion @AbominableFoMan. We'll definitely look into it for future videos. Can you tell us a bit about Schaumboch's?
@@FrightNightScares it was a tavern for travelers passing through Kempton. The story says that they began to rob and kill some of their guests and disposed of them in one of three wells on the property. Hawk mountain and its woods are rumoured to be haunted as well.
I should look at your other state listings; do you have Missouri, Illinois, or better still, Massachusetts? All three have haunted places, but none moreso than Massachusetts.
Thanks for checking out the channel @catwhispurrer137. We currently do have an Illinois video up with Massachusetts and Missouri in the works. We're always looking for recommendations for future videos so if there is anything in particular you'd like to see featured we'd love to hear about it!
Thanks for checking out this upload @Trina4EP. We know there are SO many haunted locations throughout the state and will definitely keep that location for future releases. Can you tell us a bit more about Moonshine Church?
What about western state penitentiary or otherwise known as the wall in Pittsburgh it's the 2nd oldest prison in Pennsylvania I it was my home jail from 2014 till 2017 it was 5 tears high had a chain link fence over the ground tear just incase someone fell or was thrown over the railing of one of the upper tears it would catch the unfortunate inmate.
I used to go to camp in wayne county and there was supposedly a barn right by that was haunted. Camp wayne for boys, it was walking distance from there. Anyone know?
Thanks so much for checking out this upload @kcmman9323. We’d love to hear more about this barn at Camp Wayne if you or any other listeners have more information to share! Have you had the chance to visit any of these other haunted locations before?
There are a ton of haunted places in PA. I ghost hunt all the time but my favorite is Gettysburg. I find that most places are haunted if you pay attention. Just like people living all over the world so do spirits 👻
Torrance State Hospital as well. My mom worked there for 30+ years they did some really bad stuff to patients back in the early days. There is also very creepy my dark tunnels under that place. My mom used to take me there when i was a kid to pick up her check. i’ve seen stuff there. Alot of it is mostly abandoned now but still state property. Also St. Vincent’s Church is also supposedly haunted.
9:05 WAIT*** They put a dog 🐕 in prison?? I’m so glad we don’t live in a 19th century.. times back then was horrible and I guess we were just learning the world back then. But still mankind?? that’s not mankind. 😢 poor dog. 😢
Thanks for tuning in to the channel @josephgillespie8450. We'll definitely keep it in mind for future videos. We know there are SO many haunted locations in many of these places. Can you tell us a bit more about Pennhurst?
Thanks for Sharing your video! Pennhurst was a state run hospital for the physically and mentally disabled that opened in 1908 and closed in 1987, due to overcrowding , neglect and abuse the hospital gained a terrible reputation and is a paranormal hot spot, my sister toured there and for a picture of a white shadow form that look like a person sitting in the corner with their as wrapped are on their legs, I've been there a few times myself and the place is truly foreboding!
Either you are VERY young or have been very sheltered. No offense intended, but Gettysburg and Eastern States have been famous for their ghosts since the 1980s when i first heard of them. Probably long before that!
Gettysburg is full of anomalies, noises, soldiers marching, singing, seeing movement in the woods. The ghost tours are pretty cool. And Williamsburg is another cool place
I agree about Gettysburg. A town near there called Hanover is just as haunted, if not more. Part of the battle of Gettysburg happened in Hanover
Was walking a trail in Gettysburg and thought I heard yelling but no 1 was around
Yes! Both are great!
I used to live in western Pennsylvania. Gettysburg is an experience to behold. Especially at night

Yes, nothing paranormal just the stupidity of humans
Im about the same distance away. Where ya from?
I agree. It’s creepy because it’s abandoned and sad. However, I’ve never had creepy paranormal vibes there.
There isn't anything at Central. It was just a coal town. No tragedy... Just foolish Mine runners.
LOL I just had to have a good laugh when they talked about dizziness, obviously, I've been there, the gas makes you quite dizzy lol

Lived in Pittsburgh my whole life, did not know the cathedral was haunted

The twin tunnels in Downingtown, St. Peter’s village on route 23 and the eagle tavern on route 100 are all extremely eerie places in pa
Went to Lock Haven State College - near Bucktail State Park. I lived in a house that was supposedly haunted downtown - near the campus.
Thanks for checking out this video @richoloch8230. Did you personally experience anything extra spooky while living there?
Bartender here at the Farnsworth house Inn located in Gettysburg, said to have been the building Jenny Wade was shot from. The building was there through the entire war
Thanks so much for tuning in to the channel @aoyehits1444. Have you personally experienced anything particularly spooky or paranormal working at Farnsworth?
Not sure how scary this is, but damn was it interesting and informative!
This is the first time I've heard that Centrailia, Pa. has paranormal activity.
I don't find that to be a surprise.😮😮😮😮
Watching with all of the lights off at 1:30 AM.
Been to eastern state and had my own strange experiences there,it's beyond haunted 😅
I haved lived in PA State all of my life. I have toured many of the regions and attractions mentioned in this video. There was NO paranormal presence anywhere or anyplace whatsoever. Still gave a thumbs up for my state.
Go to Fort Mifflin...it is very haunted and so is Valley forge and Gettysburg.
I a agree about Gettysburg, so much loss of life.
I was at the Cathedral of learning a few weeks back. Interesting place. Love the architecture.

How you gonna talk about the maguires and not bring up the old Jim Thorpe jail where their hand print still remains
Schaumboch's Tavern on Hawk Mountain, Kempton, PA. It's an interesting read if anyone doesn't know about it.
There's a ghost solder that protects the children from glayds
Oh wow! We haven't heard this before. Do you have any more information on this haunt?
@@FrightNightScares it was on a tv show called scariest places on earth and ghost adventures
I have never been to Pennsylvania, but it sounds awesome.

That poor dog looked so sad 😥
Thanks for checking out this video @DubProphet. Have you had a chance to explore any of these haunted sites before?
I should look at your other state listings; do you have Missouri, Illinois, or better still, Massachusetts? All three have haunted places, but none moreso than Massachusetts.
Thanks for checking out the channel @catwhispurrer137. We currently do have an Illinois video up with Massachusetts and Missouri in the works. We're always looking for recommendations for future videos so if there is anything in particular you'd like to see featured we'd love to hear about it!
How can Moonshine Church (Moonshine Rd Jonestown) not be on most haunted places in PA???
Thanks for checking out this upload @Trina4EP. We know there are SO many haunted locations throughout the state and will definitely keep that location for future releases. Can you tell us a bit more about Moonshine Church?

What about western state penitentiary or otherwise known as the wall in Pittsburgh it's the 2nd oldest prison in Pennsylvania I it was my home jail from 2014 till 2017 it was 5 tears high had a chain link fence over the ground tear just incase someone fell or was thrown over the railing of one of the upper tears it would catch the unfortunate inmate.
Thanks for checking out this video @lunchboxlunchbox4865. Do you have any particularly spooky stories or hauntings from Western State Penitentiary?

Thanks for tuning in @imsotiredzz! Do you remember anything particularly creepy you saw when you were there?
UHUUUUU👻
9:05 WAIT*** They put a dog 🐕 in prison?? I’m so glad we don’t live in a 19th century.. times back then was horrible and I guess we were just learning the world back then. But still mankind?? that’s not mankind. 😢 poor dog. 😢
no pennhurst?
Thanks for tuning in to the channel @josephgillespie8450. We'll definitely keep it in mind for future videos. We know there are SO many haunted locations in many of these places. Can you tell us a bit more about Pennhurst?
Thanks for Sharing your video! Pennhurst was a state run hospital for the physically and mentally disabled that opened in 1908 and closed in 1987, due to overcrowding , neglect and abuse
the hospital gained a terrible reputation and is a paranormal hot spot, my sister toured there and for a picture of a white shadow form that look like a person sitting in the corner with their as wrapped are on their legs, I've been there a few times myself and the place is truly foreboding!
8:46 bro you’re putting your dog in prison really
Come on people there is no such thing as haunted places Spirits paranormal nonsense ghosts and what have you... get real
That’s what I’m saying
I've lived in pa my entire life and never heard of any of these
how can you never have heard of Gettysburg??
Either you are VERY young or have been very sheltered. No offense intended, but Gettysburg and Eastern States have been famous for their ghosts since the 1980s when i first heard of them. Probably long before that!
Then you have never lived in Pennsylvania
Well done, you always have great content.
