Thank you for sharing, beautiful day we lived between St Malo and Portsmouth. I miss the "Bretagne", we all miss them. Fortunately, we have videos as a souvenir.
I was on the very last sailing back to Saint Malo. It was very emotional and I shed a few tears. I sailed on her maiden season to Santander as a 10 year old boy and have sailed on her more times than I can remember. I will dearly miss this ship and Normandie who's departing in the spring. Two incredibly iconic Gourvennec era ships leaving in such a short period is really rather tough on the soul!
@@aston-martin-internationalist Hi. Thanks for watching! Agreed, such a shame she has left the fleet. My full vlog can be found in my RUclips channel. Instagram: thebearded_blogger
I was on the final Cook Strait sailing of Arahura (scrapped) Everyone was welcomes onboard with a haka, and there were bands playing, and everything to thank the ship for service from 1983 to 2015.
Went on the Bretagne when I was a kid loads of times when she was the flagship of the company , was so modern back then , old and tired now , still has more character and atmosphere than any of the generic E-Flexers . They had a club (The Matalots ) and they let kids up onto the bridge to meet the crew , most people wouldn’t even know that , times have changed and the good times are long gone …., great memories on this ship and the Normandie which will also be sold soon , shame but it’s all a cash cow now with bigger ships needed to make more and more cash …. The personal touches and overall experience is no way close to the old Brittany Ferries 😢

this route is ending? If so, why?
@@1292liam Hi. Thanks for watching! The ship which serves the route has been retired. A brand new ship starts next year.
