The Daily Show with Trevor Noah airs weeknights at 11/10c on Comedy Central.
I introduced Drunk History to my AP U.S. History class, and throughout the year students found the drunk version of whatever we were learning. It made it a lot more fun!
Jasmine Jones: Creativity makes you a great teacher. Whatever keeps your students engaged & interested in learning. Wish you’d been my teacher. 👍🏽
I've wanted to d the same but have been worried about the potential blow back from admin/parents lol
That was/is a brilliant idea! Your kids are lucky to have you
Damn uh yall think I'm a teacher but... I'm a student haha. My teacher was pretty cool about it. He started to reluctantly play them as the year progressed, but I know he liked them lol.
@@frogjasmine you coulda worded it differently to convey u were a student also
“My Show doesnt endorse alcohol, it endorses history and comedy.”
yes thanks for clarifying that. 😂
I love that he was honest enough to turn and address the audience with "It's a poison, you shouldn't drink alcohol!"
Man I would love to watch a drunk trevor tell a history lesson
Mandela
Trevor isn’t a drinker. He has talked about it before. He doesn’t drink much
OMG YES!!!
YES
I’d prefer to see him as a reenactor. I think he’s do a great job acting.
The Harriet Tubman drunk history with Crissle is hands down my fave 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
When the random chick in the background with the torch yells "Yaaaaa!" I die, every time.
*Harriet Tubman and her army full of bad bitches..
"Spies" season 3, episode 4?
@@love-hammer I'm pretty sure, yes!
Do you listen to her on the The Read podcast?
Trevor Noah should do the apartheid Drunken History full hour episode.. 🤔
YES!!!!
I would pay good money for that
No idea why that bothers me & Im South African 🤔
Please
About as smart as an idea of watching you explain US slavery under 4 pints of Bud Light 😐🤭
I think I will always regret the day I was leaving my high school, walked past my government teacher's room, glanced in the window, saw Derek Waters just standing there, and I just kept walking.
He went to my high school (way before I did), and my teacher actually appeared in one of the earlier episodes of the show! (Not as one of the drunk people.)
I don't think Trevor grasps the concept of Drunk History entirely: A drunk person explains a historical event - sober Hollywood actors re-enact said historical event. hahahaha
Hahah even when it was explained a
I believe he still thinks comedians and famous actors are getting drunk lol
the people telling the stories are comedians too
I think one of the main reason his shows are so popular is that history channel just gave up.
If you want a show that explains and teaches history...
Drunk history is pretty much it.
The military channel does good history but it's always war based.
TheStorm119 Check our the YT channel The History Guy. I imagine he’ll soon be on television.
Agreed. I have no idea why the history channel went to non-stop coverage of conspiracy theories.
Derek Waters, you are one of the funniest people with a great insight ... and I applaud you for succeeding. Wishing you all the best with Drunk History in the future.
"It's a poison! You shouldn't drink alcohol" 4:39
I Love Drunk History, it's one of the best shows on television. Please put more full episodes on RUclips. I'm not a movie star but if you need a candidate to tell a history lesson drunk I'm available.😁
These are hilarious for anyone who hasn't seen them. Look Drunk History up on youtube or on Comedy Central. Thanks Daily Show for showcasing this.
When you learn more from drunk people than all your history classes combined🤔
I love the way he says you shouldn't drink alcohol😂😂
If you watch "Drunk History",while you're drunk, the actors seem perfectly normal.
@@christelheadington1136 but sommmmehow it's still funny
lol i thought the dude got drunk like everyday with every guest and i was like "he has to do this everyday does he have a drinking problem now... maybe it's easy for him cause maybe he has a drinking problem and this is the dream job" lmao
I love drunk history!! Its the funniest show ever Tiffany, Lin, Jenny Amazing!!
Loved DH. It was so unique. I like what he said about not endorsing alcohol, he endorses history. And honestly, by the end of a lot of those episodes it was a cautionary tale about NOT drinking alcohol to excess. I really do miss that show.
I think Drunk History is one of those shows that could easily be shot and shown in Every Country
I absolutely love Drunk History. The one with Jack Black is probably my favorite ... 🤔
Jack black does more than 1. They're all good though :)
His brother Justin is just as funny as he is, and also appears perpetually drunk. Good guy.
Trevor clearly dosen't watch the show since he assumed these people like Jim Carrey and Will Ferrell were drunk when in fact they're all just re-enacting the drunk stories.
Yeah, some celebrity gets drunk and others, in costume, re-enact what the drunk person is saying.
@@mscloudherder329 yeah, but the drunk person usually is a minor celebrity, not the likes of Jim Carrey and such.
Such a cool concept! We always learn a new piece of history we didn't know and in a fun way. 😁
I don’t drink… Never have but this is my show!🙌😎 My favorite, especially during this pandemic, is the one about “Typhoid Mary”! She was asymptomatic and killing people left and right. People don’t wanna believe that can happen🤷🏽♀️
I didn't learn anything from history in high school, but i remember everything from drunk history 😂
I don't drink alcohol anymore, but I love this show. It's ingenious!
The NORTH it really is lol
I LOVE the hell out of Drunk History!!! OMG I learned more by this show that in ALL my years in History class.
That chair is uncomfortable. How many times we've seen people struggling for a comfortable position on it? 😂
Seriously though, come on, y'all got the money, don't act like you don't. A frickin' folding chair from Home Depot would be more comfortable!
I love that this observation got so many likes!
"God did a good job of making me look and sound like im really drunk"
Derek has drunk vibes 24/7
His show is much appreciated in friends circles among history buffs. The first episode I ever saw was the one about Von Steuben and Washington's army, and it made a fan from the get go.
It makes history digestible and easy to comprehend.
Insightfully incredible, I will continue to enjoy your work.
If there is ever an REM documentary Derek totally needs to play Bill Berry.
Trevor you do Drunk History !!!
Love Drunk History ❤️
One of my favorite shows!!!
I didn't give a crap about history. Guess I thought to deep. I always felt like real stuff was left out. I love the show!!! I die anytime they put body sounds in the show. The actor started having a sneeze hit bcuz the narrator couldn't stop sneezing. 😄😄 learning and humor are 2 of my favorite things.
Oh my god, I love them both!
I've been a drunk history fan since I saw the John C. Riley/ Crispin Glover story about Tesla and Edison.
I just loved Derek Waters in all the episodes I've seen.. and i was hoping he won't end up bad, drinking everyday 😄 I'm so relieved he's not 'always drunk'
Only on comedy Central. I love both shows
Yah he does have a drunk vibe, he sounds drunk in this actually 😂
Loooooooove drunk history and derek waters! Awesome idea, amazing show!
The new Frankenstein episode is sooo good. Fun, but also with some mind-blowing acting.
My AP teacher has used Drunk History in school!
"It starts Drunk History and then it becomes a Cops episode" LOL 1:50
I like the point in the show where Derek asks the narrator "do you need to throw up?"
This was amazing !
One of my fav shows!!!
As he's getting older Derek Waters is looking more like David Mitchell.
Best show on television!
Drunk History is the greatest thing ever!
- How do you get all these people?
- Free beer.
i'd be so down to go on that drunk show
He was great in Santa Clarita Diet!
I’m so happy you interviewed this guy
woot! woot! love drunk history!
TREVOR 👏 YOU 👏 SHOULD 👏 BE 👏 ON 👏 THIS 👏 SHOW! 👏
I love watching Drunk History. It is hilarious and can be educational as long as you don't need an in depth telling of history (they're drunk so naturally they tend to simplify the story which is why it's funny). I do question historical accuracy though. Not because I don't think the people they talk to or their fact checkers don't try to be as accurate as possible, but because when most people read or hear history stories they think, 'oh, well it must have happened just as they said it did because it's history' but history is more complicated than that. Most of the time I think (or hope) that history sources do the best at trying to tell just the facts, but over time facts can be skewed depended on the sources (who or where is the source from, how factual or opinioned are those sources, how far apart is the telling and the actual act because memory is not 100% accurate). I'm not saying don't trust Drunk History or enjoy watching the show, like I said I love watching it, but I'm just saying as my AP history teacher told me in high school to always be a little skeptic and always question and research before taking it as the truth. Of course I think this also applies to other situations but I think history can get a little over looked because people tend to think it's history, so it must be true.
All that being said I would have loved to have a history class like Drunk History. If we'd had a class like that then probably people other than me would have been interested in it.
You are right! The idea needs to be taken to the next level: Drunk History Class! Quality learning and critical engagement + alcohol.
@@HotPinkst17 Or maybe just for an oral final exam.
❤️ Derek
I love Drunk History!!!
I love drunk history
lol drunk history is my fave
Hamilton, you know what you did, you know what you did. Check out these checks to James Reynolds. What's up?
I don't know if Trevor understood when he says the celebrities don't get drunk only the person telling the story gets drunk he keeps asking if they did anything crazy on the set
His neck beard... I can't unsee it
I would love for them to show drunk history at school.
I love derek waters!! Wish they'd hold a public submission contest. Random dude drunk history! Id knock it out, easy!! Srsly call me derek
Hi, Derek.
I loooove Drunk History
trevor on drunk history please!
Trevor Noah should do it!
BEST FUCKING SHOW I do feel very smart after lol
It is a great show
Trevor well done. I love your shows .
Trevor didnt even know how the format of drunk history..
I love drunk history for entertainment purposes, but when he says that it’s factually accurate, but I think that’s a little ambiguous. Even though the outline and simple facts are accurate, a lot is left for speculation. Also, a lot is left out too so I don’t know how much people are learning. Everyone here on the comments is saying how this is the best way to learn history doesn’t like history. I don’t think people should try to keep teaching it past school. We should make people accountable and responsible for their curiosity and knowledge seeking. Read!
HES FROM BALTIMORE, MD: REPRESENT
Reminds me of horrible histories on the bbc, except there is no drinking as it is for kids. But they use comedy skits to teach history. Would not be surprised if this was a derivative of that idea
He sounds drunk 😂
Someday I’d love to do drunk history either the civil war or maybe one with hp lovecraft🤷♂️.
I love you!
3:30 i think he got ppl w tha free booze
ohhh i love drunk history but i always thought the guests already knew about the story they were telling like it was something they had studied in their free time not for the show
.Getting people drunk: what an easy way to get stories and information.
His beard’s hairline is so sharp you could slice a rock with it
They don’t even mention the acting-out part, which is to me 90% of what is funny
Is it just me or is the audio always at a lower level compared to other channels?
69 people have never been drunk haha
Here before 1k views 😌
Another fun way to learn American history: The Dollop podcast with Dave Anthony telling stories to his pal, Gareth Reynolds, who has no idea what the topic is going to be about.
@2:33 did he say "god" did a good job on him?
why did they both seem to be walking on eggshells around the alcohol? Maybe they were realizing that it doesn't help anyone with anything really, and to over consumed is a guaranteed kick you in the ass type of scenario. This coming from a person that is holding a mixed drink on my profile pic. I realized this not too long ago, I still consume but don't recall the last time I was "buzz" or drunk.
Lol
"Getting drump"... the word to describe Trump if he's drunk.
Only 5 views, I'm never this early!
Yes you are. 5 seconds I guess

"Explain the science of this..."
Wait so he actually makes them go drunk and tell a history lesson? Wow very innovative.
I’ve never seen this man sober
That's just his voice
He’s never seen the show and it’s obvious. The big celebs aren’t drunk, they’re reenacting the drunk stories.
WE KNOW WHO EVAN IS!
Love Drunk History but I miss the History Channel😥
I didn't know Judd Apatow was that well spoken.
