I installed the new 383 Chevy small-block , I have a misfire and timing mark jumps 10 degrees can't get it to sit still. Do you think it's possible I have the same situation?
It’s possible. Did it go through the break-in process using the high zinc break-in oil and keep rpm’s up?

was the cam "walking"?
No, it was an engine that was built elsewhere. I pulled the head and saw the valve job on 1 cylinder hadn’t been finished.
