I am hooked on these mini art books...Thank you for showin us your book .I find it easiear with 140 grm paper ,it is easyer to fold if I spray lightly on the back with water
Thank you for this most instructional video, Lydia. I would really appreciate if you could show us a bit more slowly the steps for your 'special' book, the blue one with the elastic... Thank you in advance! Looks so tidy!
please see the video where I show how I made a mini book, I share how to make the cover. you can use such kind of cover for the larger concertina book, too.
I love your work and I ve been looking a lot of yours videos. Could you tell me if you paint before to make the concertina ? or after ? thank you et félicitations pour votre travail.
Your tutorial is so easy to follow and the results are beautiful! I am a new subscriber and I'd like to make a concertina book for my granddaughter's 16th birthday. I was wondering if you have a tutorial on the book you made with the cutout windows. I think this would be a great party favor for her to give out to her guests for them to use as a photo album later. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed week!
Thank you 🙏🌸 For the double concertina with windows I made two concertina folded paper strips, in one of them I cut the windows, after decorating the pages bring both stripes together with a simple pamphlet stitch. And then add the cover pieces.
Thanks so much for sharing this! I am interested in also looking at the work of the artist who inspired you. I couldn’t quite catch her name. Do you mind telling me who that was? Thank you!
@@LydiaRinkArt so is it a special craft paper tape from my local craft store or is it masking tape which o get from the supermarket or DIY store? Sorry I'm just not clear what you mean by paper tape. It looks like masking tape to me but I don't know if that stays stuck over time on a project meant to last but you could be referring to a paper tape that all crafters know about as standard lol
@@keelijudge8267 all I know about this tape is it‘s made of paper, it‘s a kind of packaging tape. www.biobiene.com/papier-packband-klebeband-50mm-x-50m-weiss-1-rolle.html
Just what I was looking for. For me, this is by far the best demo I’ve watched for this type of book. Thank you for sharing.
thank you!

Very clear and concise instructions. I’ve made some before, but always need to reacquaint myself with the steps to get a good finish.
Excellent video! TFS! Love your artwork; the small glimpse inside your books shows the beautiful works you’ve created! 💜
I agree, the best demo. Thank you 💛🖌️😊

Thank you Lydia for sharing. I think the best video I have seen in making books.
Loved this tutorial. Thank you.
Such a good clear demonstration Lydia, thank you. I've always glued my pages, from now on I'll use tape.
thank you! I used to glue my pages, too till I discovered the tape 😁
Thank you for this found it helpful and a whole lot more satisfying making ones own than buying one
😍😍😍😍😍 love your colors!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. My son is a budding artist and it's his birthday soon, this would be a great gift to make for him.
what a cool birthday gift 🙌
Great demo! Thank you Lydia. I was just ready to make a concertina for my daughter’s 40th birthday 🥰
What a great tutorial, simple and easy to follow, thank you!!💗
Best demo I’ve seen for a concertina. Thanks so much! What kind of tape are you using? Thanks!
Thank you Lydia - your directions were so clear, easy to follow.
Great demo! What brand of folding knife are you using?
i loved this video. i make my concertina sketchbooks from the long roll of mixed media paper. It is cumbersome to say the least.
thank you! yes it is and I gave up 😁 cutting strips from the roll was a nightmare for me 🙈 my method is „quick and dirty“ 😁
Your books are beautiful! Thank you for the excellent demonstration- can’t wait to make mine!
thank you! enjoy your new projects 🙌

Thanks for sharing this tips, btw may i know the type of white tape that you are using here?
Thank you! The tape is packaging tape made of paper from a local store here in Germany. Maybe you can find something similar in your country.

What kind of paper did you use to make the cover?
Did you use Styrofoam glue?
I use cardboard for the cover and all purpose glue
