    Nice looking watches, but I couldn't live with the tiny subdial hands, the minute hand is a little short too. Thanks for taking the chance ordering and reviewing 👍

    Merkur makes nice watches, but I'm so disappointed at their customer service that I will never buy another watch from them. Last issue I had was when I purchased one of their jumping hour watches, site indicated they had stock, and after several days of not shipping I inquired and they said they didn't have stock. Didn't offer an ETA. Just that they were out of stock. I canceled the purchase, and now waiting on hopefully getting a refund. In the US what they did is a form of bait & switch and it is illegal.
    Like I said, nice watches, but ownership, leadership, and customer service is atrocious. Sorry for my rant.

    Another brand that makes great watches but doesn't have a working customer service department is Seestern. I had a Seestern watch with a NH35 inside and after a couple of day's it started to run really slow and after a week it stopped. I contacted 'customer service' and had to send the watch back to an address in Hong Kong. They confirmed it arrived after 2 weeks. That was 4 months ago...! Every time I ask where my watch is, they are ever so friendly, but NOTHING happens. The watch is simply gone and there is no way I can do something about it. It's a total disgrace. I know it's 'only' €200 or so, but it doesn't get solved. No money back, not sending another watch, not sending the repaired watch, NOTHING..!! Very annoying.

      If you have the trail of communication, you should be able to dispute it with the bank or funding source you used. You can in the UK anyway but, I'd imagine all payment vendors have a failsafe or backstop as long as you can show you tried to resolve the issue at the earliest opportunity.
      I wouldn't even bother trying to communicate directly any more. That ship has sailed.

      That's very disappointing indeed. In retrospect it might have better and not so expensive to put a new NH35 in it yourself or get a watchmaker to do it and try to get a bit of a refund from Seestern. I have an out of warranty 2nd hand Seiko diver with a wonky NH36 and I just got it replaced by a local repair guy. Still going great today.

      I am chatting with them for 4 months now. The problem is, that they start every reply with: ´Hi friend, don´t worry´ We take care of it, but...nothing happens. A week later there is another Chinese replying my endless chase and again, ever so friendly, but nothing happens. There is only a chat box to communicate. The reply from them takes most of the time at least a week. They are playing customer service, but in reality they don´t have such a thing in my opinion. They simply lost the watch, VISA repay has been expired, and there is nothing I can do. With hindsight I should have organise a new NH35 myself, but this was a brandnew watch, so you think that they just swap it for another one, but they didn´t. With hindsight it´s better to start the VISA procedure right away and simply state that the watch was broken from the start, not after 2 day´s, because then the supplier must have the chance to fix the problem.

    I don't own a Merkur watch but they look to be very nice watches and I am a big fan of the ST19 movements.

    Thanks for the video man. I look at these things all the time but every time I do I get disappointed because of the size of the watch. And now looking further into it not only the size is too small it's sub dials are worthless want anything I have to put glasses on to see is definitely out. Have a great day.

    Wow I've never had a problem ordering with Merkur and for that simple fact I will continue to order from them but then again I've also never had a reason to piss in their ear about the products asides from being out of stock of items that weren't in stock and I'm not known as being lucky sucker but your reviews do help me with the best decisions that I could possibly make I recently acquired the world timer a very unique piece that I really enjoy Thanks for another gold standard review my friend Be well and Stay Frosty my friend 👍

    Nice review man. Shame about dealing with them direct being a bit of a minefield. I just don't get why these companies wouldn't want to show themselves in the best light, drive more business because they're good to deal with etc. Especially when their own trade markets in China are being hit hard at the min.
    It's a queer attitude to have. I'm having a similar issue with Seestern as another guy. Mine is only about a strap though. Red dial 62mas can on red strap instead of black. I know I have it on that razor wire Bracelet (which Larry promptly resolved by the way) but, I'd like the option of swapping out to the nice FKM. If he doesn't confirm its sent tomorrow, with tracking then, it's additional feedback that will be shitty and I'll not use them again. Shame really as they have some awesome watches. I'm just not buying in to shite service, I work too hard to be funding arseholes!

    The fake beads of rice bracelet is laughable at this price point, it looks ridiculous. Watches in the $125 range don't have fake bor bracelets. The super cheap bracelet cast a doubt on the quality of the entire watch. I'm staying very far away from this company !
