I met the one of the actors in it the guy who plays Connor's dad in Dear Evan Hansen. This lady at the stagedoor was like "I loved you in Tuck" and he was like "What for its 39 performances" 😂😂😂
This should've lasted longer :( I heard they had to close because they struggled with box office sale. I've never seen the clips of this show (I didn't even know the story nor the movie) when I first listened to the Album. And it almost made me cry. It was beautiful. It is beautiful. A great story with great music and great cast. I mean, goodness that girl can sing ! I hope it goes on tour or comes back to theatre again in the near future.
Tetsuya Kobayashi hamilton went to broadway in the same season and because that got so much attention, a lot of shows did poorly cause they could get the publicity (no shade to ham but tuck deserves to still be on broadway)
70% of comments: omg!! I can’t believe it closed! It should have stayed on for longer 20% of comments (aka me): uwuwing over Ben Cook 10% of comments: people actually talking about the video
When it comes to musicals and movies, I don't cry easily but this got me BAWLING! This is a work of art, passion and genius. Seeing the characters that I love come to life in such a beautiful way just takes my breath away. Grove to all involved! I only wish I could get to New York to see it...
I loved the book and I was looking at musicals and I found this and almost screamed with joy until I read the comments bout it closing and then I screamed more painfully than Eliza watching Philip die in her arms.
“For some... Time passes slowly... an hour... can seem an eternity... For others... There's never enough Time... But for Jesse Tuck... Time didn't exist.”
I have just finished closing night for this show, i was in ensemble and i had so much fun. Its such a beautiful and fun musical full of energy and magical moments!
I wish this had a longer run. Looks like an amazing show. Does anyone know if there is a legit streaming copy of the Broadway version? I’m reading the book to my students and prefer to show them this production over the Disney movie. Just curious. Thanks.
It could've been more hyped up. That's the issue. Hamilton was extremely hyped up. But it had a bad set, and a couple of the singers were awful. But it was showing around the same time as Hamilton, and it kinda got out shined. So I think they should try to bring it back. But more hype.
It Closing On Broadway this Coming Sunday Im Sorry www.broadway.com/buzz/184335/tuck-everlasting-starring-andrew-keenan-bolger-carolee-carmello-sets-broadway-closing-date/
Oh, man, I didn't know Carolee was in this. Now much more interested in this show, and wishing I could see it. I'm always up for a little Andrew Keenan-Bolger anyway. This looks enticing. (Doesn't seem to be getting lots of buzz or recognition, though, unfortunately.)
someone please explain to me why this show closed after, what, like three months on Broadway... and more importantly why it closed before I got to see it 😟😢
Super hot take, but I fucking hate that Hamilton was so hyped up, which caused shows like this to suffer. They have so much passion and heart, but Hamilton drew all the attention away from Tuck and similar shows.
Gosh, every time this ends up in my recommendations, I am reminded how this show had SO much potential but as someone that did see this live in it's short run... meh. Went all in on the "family friendly" market and resulted in a show with no good tension to make it interesting. The book is SUPER tense in the end, giving the Tucks a legit great reason why they can never return to this town. The musical? Meh, quick resolution LET'S HAVE A DANCE NUMBER.
+Larkspur She is very good in the show, I saw it the other day. Yes it's a bit off but for an 11 year old girl it's great. 9/10 times I see a show with young kids even on Broadway the kids aren't up to part but she manages to hold her own next to some of the greatest performers on Broadway!
Ummm, for one she was eleven or twelve when she played this role, so considering that it's downright incredible. Also, coming from someone who has actually played Winnie, this song is very hard to sing, both because of the part of the vocal range it sits in and because of all the super high energy dancing in the song (have you ever tried to belt prettily while out of breath/bouncing around onstage? It's hard). Not trying to be mean at all btw, sorry if it comes across that way. This is just my opinion :)
The stagecraft and choreography look awesome, but I was expecting the lyrics to be better than they were. The music is ok, but the lyrics are directly taken from the book pretty much, and frankly it's kind of cheesy. I'd like to see it anyway because I am a fan of Casey Nicholaw, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was less than perfect.
𝚂𝙿𝙾𝙸𝙻𝙴𝚁 𝙰𝙻𝙴𝚁𝚃!!! I cried at the end of this musicale. I wanted her to end up with Jessie. Ik they had her not drink it for a message and stuff but like my romantic heart BALLED at the end. I felt so bad for Jessie and the fact she ended up with the mailman. THE MAILMAN. It made me sad and mad but Ik over all she did the right thing I’m just salty. But like Winnie and Jessie were made for each other.
You know how we have Theatre live to cinemas in the UK so people can see West end and London plays. Can't we have Broadway shows like this broadcast to UK cinemas too? then I could see it!
1-Ben cook. Andrew Keenan Bolger. Thank you for existing. 2-Tuck Everlasting. Thank you for existing. 3-yk what else should exist? A TUCK REVIVAL AND PROSHOT. WITH BEN COOK AS HUGO.

I’m obsessed with how Tuck fans mostly talk about Ben in the background more than Andrew 😂😂😂 myself included
2 THINGS
1-this musical is the definition of joy and happiness and family and all things beautiful
2-is anyone else in love with Miles?? Just me….ok
CAROLINE WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE
i would pay so much to see a filmed version of this or for them to bring it back to broadway.... when it opens
I loved the book and I was looking at musicals and I found this and almost screamed with joy until I read the comments bout it closing and then I screamed more painfully than Eliza watching Philip die in her arms.

Well, they couldn't exactly bust Mae out of jail at the end of the musical, it would have taken to long and to much money
