As a kemetic, I have to say that Sutekh was not firstly conceived as an evil deity, but a love and fertility one instead, during the pre dynastic era. As the Osiris myth grew more popular, the figure of Sutekh as the adversary got mode established mythologically, but even then the ancient egyptians still prayed to him. Sutekh's chaos is sophisticated and goes hand in hand with the sacred balance of Ma'at, for light to exist there must be a shadow, but that is only natural. Just like a tornado is natural and devastating. But he wasnt just about chaos. He was also the guardian of Egypt and protected the egyptian from the foreign nations and was the Storm bringer. So yeah. More to him than just "evil". And yes, he battles Apep every single night in the golden barque. :) Dua Sutekh!
@loganharrisoncrabtree4644 Seit was never evil God, Maybe he was evil in the pov of Enemies of Egypt... but as far as i know, he was just Demonized after some religious civil war between Amun and Hor Followers Against Seit Followers.. What happened after a religious civil war (probably, because it is a little doubtful) as Many for different reasons, except that Seit, in the period between 21-27 Dynasty, his lovers and supporters disappeared, and it ended with the destruction of all his temples by the supporters of Hor and Amun (most likely) then he became the symbol of evil rather than he was the main warrior against evil..
it has been well over four millenia since I last heard this piece. It was a warm evening, me and my buddy Hur'an ta'abash were gazing over the eternally glimmering waters of the Nile, when from across the river the winds carried over to us this sacred melody...man, I'm getting nostalgic in here. Anyway, fabulous playing!
Your music always makes my spirit feel so at home. I was just reading about Seth today and how he represents my sign. The universe brings me back Everytime♥️♥️
Damn this is beautiful. Set loves this I'm sure. I can only imagine how many years of practice it took to become this skilled at such a long-standing instrument.
How come you came up with this music? This is super powerful... This music vibes every cell in my neck and head!!! This is magical. I am speechless! You are awesome... There is something special about you and in you that can make this vibration.
Thanks for your kind words Edwin! I came up with this improvising over diatonic and chromatic tetrachords(straight Kurd and Hidjaz adjnas in arabic system they are called). It's hard to explain without using special terminology like this. I'm not so sure there is anything special about me, but what is special here is that Egyptian ney is played interdental way, which is common in modern day Iran, but not in Egypt. I'm sure our ancestors used to play like this, which a picture in video description suggests, but nowadays there is a rather strict division in traditions.
@@TurrimAurea This is getting even more interesting! There are many people with many neys out there in Iran and other places, but this song is very special. This song is vibrating with many of your viewers. So there is something to it. It is good that you are not aware of it. because you own it. So this is normal for you. My assumption is, when a human vibrates with a frequency there are some reasons for it. Have you heard "Dead Can Dance" music? (I guess of course you do)... And how come you are aware of the music in Iran? This is very interesting...
Real tip: Should you raise turkey chicks, place a few colorful marbles in their food and water bowls/cups where they can see them. It will get their attention and get them to peck and start eating/drinking regularly. This is useful when chicks don't show much interest in eating/drinking at first.
Thank you! I don't give classes. I bought this ney from arabinstruments.com, it's Ahmad Abd El Ghani's A Mansur ney. If you want a long flute A Mansur or B kiz will be your choice, but it's possible to play deep tones on shorter ones like D too.
Foolishness. Its a Persian instrument. Arabs calling this Egyptian is like if they appropriated another reed instrument like the aulous and called it their own. The Ney is literally a Persian word and this instrument was developed in Iran. You people are illiterate.
I like how the muffled sound gives a feeling of rushing sand. well done sir.
Exactly ❤️
Seth is my favorite Egyptian god. I like how he is really evil but he also keeps the cosmos from falling into chaos by fighting Aphoses every night
