Try Laser Engraving Glass with Blazer Orange with Me!

- I've heard that people swear by Blazer Orange for glass engraving... so try it out, at my expense!
In this video I will show you how I apply the orange tape, my settings, and more to get a nice and crisp engrave on my Aeon Mira 9 100 watt laser.
Blazer Orange was purchased wholesale from @JDSINDUSTRIES , who have further tutorials on the use of Blazer Orange on their RUclips Channel.
NOTE: This is video of me trying this tape for the first time. It IS indeed, laser safe, per it's own directions which I review. I'll be sure to do a follow up sample!

Thanks for sharing your process! The pie plate turned out crisp.
Thank you so much! Hoping that it helps. Hoping it helps Somebody decide whether or not to purchase.😊
Eugene's correct, the way it sold is more marketing ploy than anything. Which kind of makes sense because there are a lot of laser owners out there. Versus say those that are setup to sand blast/carve. The role this was initially intended " blazer orange laser mask sand carving film for sandblasting". Just use solid core black card-stock place the card stock on the bed and the glass on top. My little 20 watt diode gives me fantastic results, 7000-7500 mm min and 70-75% power.
How does the card stock help with that? Just curious! I thought the results were pretty good!
@@scriptandgrain It helps and its a lot cheaper than the masking. As for cups and stuff like, I've seen it done by putting the card stock inside the cup, so masking may be the answer for that for a food safe product.. Get some card-stock and try it.
brilliant
I don’t think it turned out too bad! 😊
Could you do an engraving with part of the glass covered by the tape and part left blank?
I think, that this would give the best direct comparison.
Not on a design like this; since the writing is inconsistent that could be a variable. However... maybe a solid shape?! Im down to try it! Stay tuned...
Done! ruclips.net/video/FcvbV_ySvuI/видео.html
Came out nice, but It's hard to see the benefit of the tape. A side by side comparison without tape would have been helpful.
There is a side-by-side! You must not have stayed until the end 😊
@@scriptandgrain lol. I see it now. Do you think you'll use the masking from now on?
Someone actually commented that I should do an engrave again with HALF the glass covered to see a better result. So Ill do that, with a more solid shape, and post a follow up! For now, I will at least until the roll is gone. Now that people sent tricks my way, we will see if they work! I hope to try it again this week. @@RedPillSurvival
Here's an updated one, too! ruclips.net/video/FcvbV_ySvuI/видео.html @@RedPillSurvival
The ”with” picture looks edited.
Nope! No editing. I intentionally did not do that, so people could make their own decision 🙌🏼
Masking exists to prevent sections from getting engraved, you did the exact opposite....?
The purpose of this tape is to cut out the sections you want engraved, hollow them out, attach the tape to the material, and sand blast the material. Not for laser engraving.
What you need is "Laser marking paint".
Hey! This isn’t a masking that “prevents”. Not sure if you missed the beginning of the video with the directions, but it is certainly made for lasers AND sandblasting, and is used all the time in the laser world. Check this out: ruclips.net/video/ATiDRBnoJ7Q/видео.htmlsi=aE6snGeAFWqrC6xb
Laser marking paint is best for metals when used with a co2 machine.
