@@WilliamJusticeMedia One more thing to clarify, William. What I personally notice is that with you Davinci Resolve is leading and you are secondary. With many others (which I am also happy with, since I can learn a lot from you all) it is often the other way around. So yes, you don't have to say thank you: I say thank you to you: 1. because you come up with something valuable again and 2. because you present it in a way that appeals to me.
@@Silieth hey. Yeah. I tried that at first but it did not look good. The issue is that the glow does not expand outside the 3d shape. Ex. On the left and right of the 3d shape there is a hard line so it flowed inside the shape but no glow on the edges. I meant to show that in the video but forgot when I was setting up the video.
love your fusion videos, people need a studio version to access the magic mask. I own the studio and this was a great tutorial. Last time I saw a video your were struggling with treatment. Glad to see you are well.,
William, I agree with the commenter below - you have such a unique and creative perspective in your creations. Thanks for the video and please keep up the good work! Still grateful for your expressions cheat sheet as well 😆
hey ser, love your work! - I keep coming back to your site for ideas! - it's brilliant, I did buy you coffee too! - just wanted to make a suggestion, would be really cool if you had a search function on your site to help us find the features we're looking for... just an idea... will shout you another coffee if I can find what I'm looking for today! luv your work!
William, y'know how when you right-click a parameter in Fusion, you get the pop-up menu which has things like perturn, experssion, etc? Would you (in a future video) be able to address what all of those menu items do, please? Keen to learn!
Totally cool, innovative and different. Thanks! Just discovered this channel and subscribed immediately. These ideas fit with the new AI capabilities of Davinci. Great way to learn Fusion.
You're a bloody genius Bill. I don't know how you come up with this stuff. Always fun to learn from you. (now if you could only figure out the freeze effect, that would be the pinnacle of your madness) ;-b
Thanks.. yes the Freeze will be awesome if I can get if figured out. LOL I have tried a few ideas but did not really like how it looked...Hopefully I can make something that looks good... If so, will make a video.
Hi William ! Cool stuff ! Thanks ! I can't get two effects downloaded and into DaVinci... They are the Disco Ball and the Grid... BTW do you have the circle or square highlighting effect ? Can't find it and would be really useful... A new coffee will be coming up !
Question please. I hope you see this 🙏 I m tryin to curve the clip I have in 3d space just like the cylinder you have but with a video. How can I do that?I subed. Thank you!
Hi William Thank you the great videos, I followed you with the 3D Orbit Animation it worked out fine but the text did move at all when I played it animation. Please can you help. Thank you Alexander
I am New to Resolve/Fusion .Your Video is very Impressive and Unique ,Thank you for Sharing . Is there an Effect or Transition that makes following possible? I stand in Front of a Brick Wall (maybe Green Screen) and the Bricks are moving one by one out of the Picture and from behind the Universe shows up as an 3D Space?
This is 🔥🔥🔥, I’m still New to Davinci, can this effect be applied to a flat logo and make the logo round or applied to a crown so the crown could rotate around a subject’s head? Thank you for this Awesome Tutorial ‼️💯
One more question, I may be dating myself here a bit but I would like recreate using your method; a "halo" of twinkling stars or twittering birds orbiting a character's head at or above eyebrow level to indicate that the character has been stunned. Would you be able to help me with this please? Thanks again for the awesome tutorial 💯‼️
William, would it make a difference to connect the output of the magic mask to the blue input of the merge node where you merge the render3d node to the MediaOut1? I do not have the studio version so I cannot test magic mask for myself, but I think that way you would not need to make an imageplane and have no worries with the size of it. Or am I wrong?
One thing I found that seemed weird is you fixing the soft glow.... just move the soft glow node to just under the text+ node. Then the Glow only affects the text. It just seemed weird to do a color correct and all that jazz when the node placement was just in the wrong place. Other than that. Thanks for the awesome video.
Thanks for the message. Adding the glow below the text was what I tried first. I really meant to describe why I setup it up the way I did in the video... but forgot to cover it. The glow works fine on the text, but...because the glow is on the text .. and the text with glow is on the cylinder.. the glow effect effect cut off on the edges.. you just see a clean line on the left/right of the cylinder. The glow is not being applied to the cylinder, just what is inside it. ex. if you look where the text is wrapping around my head.. on the sides (left/right) it will be a clean line without the glow extending off the letters. Hope that makes sense.
the 3d and orbit effects for in the free version but you do need resolve studio if you want to use the magic mask or relight effects. without magic mask you can still use regular masking to achieve the same effect. just takes a bit more work,
You are and will remain a highly valued Black Magic Davinci Resolve Artist to me. Another Beautiful - and useful - thing.
Thanks William.
Hi Pierre, Thanks so much.. Really appreciate your comments.

Great stuff as always William 👍

This was awesome love to see more new things
thanks for watching
Great vid, learned alot, and incorporated into two of my projects. Thanks for doing this
awesome. hope you made something great with it
Thank you, I learned a lot from your videos.
The way you used removed the green glow from the image so it sits on just the text is just amazing. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks... adding effects to 3d animations can be tricky.
@@WilliamJusticeMedia Could you add the softglow directly to the text instead of the workaround?

That was awesome!
What does making a clip a “Fusion composition do” could position do? Rather than just open it in Fusion?

Great suggestion. There are a lot of things you can do with modifiers, but it is a bit hidden.
Another great effect THX I use many of the effects you have made .

If I don’t have the magic mask. Can I replace another tool? Thank sir.
Yes, you can just the regular polygon mask.. you just need to create mask and keyframe it to if there is movement in the content you are masking out.
Thanks!
It wasn t easy, but tks it worked!
There are a few steps involved but once you get everything setup it works!
Is this tutorial only for Studio version? Because of the Magic Mask node?
the 3d and orbit effects for in the free version but you do need resolve studio if you want to use the magic mask or relight effects. without magic mask you can still use regular masking to achieve the same effect. just takes a bit more work,
