I’m a fan of Wuben. They have a lot of creative juices flowing among their engineers. It’s refreshing to see from Chinese company. Most of time it copycat stuff or outright theft. I ordered from them their D1 flashlight & their tactical pen. Took a chance on an unknown company (to me) & I’m fan. This definitely fits my needs as a stargazer that likes to go off the beaten path in the New Mexico desert. I purchase such a light from an army surplus bc I wanted to hang it off my chest for hands free illumination but the light output wasn’t adequate with AAs. I’m wondering if it get too hot to hold to the chest tho.

I've sung the praises of the C2, often on sale for under $35 and comes with the 21700 battery, 2000 output, power bank, and ramps down to 700 lumen after a minute. My only gripe on this one is that ramping down to 320 just limits it for use outdoors sustained at night. I'll be putting it in the car as an emergency phone charger and work on the car option.

This needs an xhp70.3 and a nichia 519a 5700k. Boost driver. Then it would be awesome. Maybe some way of strapping it to your head or hard hat.

I like my firefighter flashlight. The Nightstick XPR-5568RX is my go to light.

5:00 I brought an ISDT E4 EVO charger with me while visiting China so that I could charge 18650, 21700, AA and AAA cells. I ended up carrying a AAA flashlight while traveling within China and I didn't end up needing the charger. So much planning, but it'd be ok taking any flashlight with a decent runtime for occasional EDC use.😛

I thought I cheated on Wuben by traveling with Olights.

65 dollars buys you a lot of normal flashlights, or if you're looking for a fancy one Noctigon/Emisar gives you so many more options. you can have your preferred driver, your preferred leds, a programmable interface, etc, etc. I wouldn't buy this.

Great form factor, features, and usefulness, but... The Wuben L1 has an unregulated driver, big turn-off for me: the output steadily decreases as the battery voltage is depleted. There is PWM too, not a deal breaker, but I'd pay a few more bucks to have a good driver and no PWM, then this light would be in the top-tier category instead of being a not-bad second tier. It's a very good concept, with cut corners. Wuben, please issue a L1 V2, new-and-improved!
