Lions were playing without starting LT Taylor Decker again this week. Dan Skipper was filling in. All 6'9" 300 pounds of him. Playing with a rib injury reinjured last week. Dude was throwing up in the locker room during Campbells speech. Lions were playing defense missing all but 1 of the starting front 7. 4 guys they played and had good game were not even on the team a week ago. They actually got pretty good pressure on Love, hit him a bunch. That's why the Packers didn't pass much. The Lions were pushing that pocket and these dudes were crushing it.
According to Wikipedia, Tucker Kraft (#85) is 6'-5" at 258 lbs.! I'm impressed by his recovery and jumping up like that but at that size I'm more impressed he got leveled like that!
As a former coach myself, and a die hard Lions fan I appreciate an actual real, unbiased breakdown of a highlight reel. I can’t stand 95% of the people that watch these. If you really wanna see something wild, rewatch the 3rd n 1 play and try and get an end zone view. Formation dictated everything of why the 4 n In was going to work.
Lions fan here. Watching the Bears offense, I was thinking "If they had Ben Johnson... this would not be good for us." Athlon Sports wrote a small article on Ben Johnson being out on Dallas, and they talk about 3 criteria Johnson has for teams. One of which is that the team has to identify and display a solution for why they're in their current position (i.e. losers). I think the Bears could meet the 3 criteria, but there would have to be a come to Jesus moment for ownership and the guy who holds the pursestrings.
we struggled bad stopping there offense in the second half and they were scoring quickly too like 1 to 2 minutes a drive so with the way our defense was banged up i think going for it was the perfect call because green bay thought there was no way we would go on 4th so it caught them off guard
I am really glad to hear a non-complaining perspective of this game. You are about the only one that didn’t. I’m not a Bears fan go Lions one pride but thank you for being objective with this reaction.
"their 2nd half-defense has been atrocious the last 3 weeks" yeah, that will happen when you have close to 20 people on the IR and at least 13 of them are on defense. Including your entire DL that you started the season with except for Alim who got hurt in this game. And a LB group that is missing every starter except for Jack Campbell. And BB went out hurt in this game also. So yeah, that leads to bad defense when the defense is made up of practice squad players and guys off the street.
We started 3 guys on def that we signed off the street on monday nd had mcneul go out in 2nd quarter we had no buisness winning this game green bay gave it to us we basicly spoted them 14 points to nd still beatem idk how our one pride did this just diffrent
going for that 4th and inches was the correct call. That is too much time left to give Green Bay when our defense is as hurt as it is. Campbell trusts our Offense to get half an inch for the first, more than he trusts this defense at this point in time.
The reason he fumbled is bc 23 punches the ball out! The Bears just need a coach which seems u going to get one and the NFC North next year will be very very tough for the whole league!
Lions fan. The Bears are way better than their record indicates. They're really good, but the Packers, Vikings, and Lions are killing it this season and are in the same division.
Lions fan here. You are absolutely right the Bears are not far off. Next year watch out Bears will be right up there with Detroit and green bay. All 3 will be fighting for it. I think the wins and losses will be split between all 3 teams. I don't think Minnesota will be as good next year.
And keep your head up with your Bears. You guys are honestly at the crossroad the Lions were at a few years ago, where simply looking at your overall win-loss record doesn't show how close a lot of your games where. Build on the strengths you already have to solidify your identity and get a coach that believes in that identity and the NFC North can be even more competitive than it already it
Lions fan here. And I gotta give props to the Bears. Their record right now is not indicative of how good they are. I make the comparison that the Bears are the opposite of the Chiefs when it comes to closing out games. Chiefs have barely won the vast majority of their games. But they win. If you looked at every one score game and flipped the result, the Chiefs would be 2-10 instead of 11-1 right now. Now what happens if you do that with the Bears? You flip the result of every 1 score game, win or loss, and the Bears are 8-4. And most, if not all, of these issues the Bears have closing out games comes down to coaching and the QB. Now I'll cut Caleb some slack here because he's a rookie. He'll improve without a doubt and be a really good QB in the future. But the Bears coach this year? Completely inexcusable. Yall should've fired him sooner. Bears get a better coach and they're gonna be dangerous. I'm actually more worried about playing you guys again later this month than I was when we played each other last because you wont have an incompetent coach dragging you down anymore. And I don't even know who your new coach is or will be. All I know is you can't get much worse. Best of luck to the Bears going forward. Yall will be great next year, mark my words.
iirc Lions originally had a 6th and 18th 1st round pick in 2023. I think people say they reached with the Gibbs pick because they traded that 6th to ARI to move back to 12. So people who felt that Gibbs would still be there at 18 if they wanted him thought the smarter move was to keep 6, take someone like Jalen Carter with that, and then hope Gibbs is still there at 18 and use that pick on him. Instead, Lions trade back to 12, use that pick on him, Carter goes to the Eagles at 9, Lions use 18th to get Jack Campbell who they've REALLY needed now due to all of our LB injuries
One thing if your a bears fan you can be excited about is you have a franchise QB its important that the bears organization lets caleb have some say in who is next head coach imo also FTP
Reason we went for it cause the defense wasn't doing well in the 2nd half. They were walking down the field the whole half so kept it in the hands of offense that has kept the things going. Yea no other team would went for this but the lions are the kinda team that will. Lions have 16 players on IR, 13 of those were defense. We had to SIGN players on monday for this game.
As a Lions fan, I don't think the Bears are that far off. I do think they need to reshuffle some assets to help the offense be more consistent. Williams could use some skill players that are tailored to his traits and better protection.
The lions missing half they defense bro they got practice players and dudes off the street out there. That's not the same defense from early in the year
The bears deserve respect. Everybody in the elite club beats them but by field goals or in overtime. Hats off. We Lions gonna need yall to be relaxed week 16 though.
There's no way the Lions were giving that ball back to Jordan Love at the end of the game. There was still 40 seconds left, still enough time to go down and kick a FG and push it to OT. The Lions end games on their terms.
Tbf you said you seen it where the packers can mvow the ball right rrgardless of no time outs and 45 seconds? So wouldnt it makes sense to go for it all with healthy offence and not rely on the battered defence. Worst come to worst you habe to rely on the defence anyways then a coin toss. This way at least the ball is in the hands of your best side of the team currently.
i knew tim patricks 2nd td shouldve been holding on Oline of detroit but seeing tim patricks first td he actually got in the way of the guy going towards st brown so that couldve been called for opi too especially when christian watsons play was opi when packers shouldve had a td to jacobs for a 4th td
I think the Bears are very close to being better than Green Bay. If they make a good coaching hire and draft well, they have the potential. They play the Lions very tough. As a Lions fan, I see Caleb having more upside than Love if he gets a coaching staff that develops him. Right now I would rather the Lions play Green Bay than the Bears. The Bears just need a better organizational plan.
Bears are “close”?? Even the Lions had 4-5 losses of less than 7 pts in their 0-16 season and weren’t anywhere close to a functioning NFL team. Bears need to clean house and get rid of any players that someone is willing to give 1st &/or 2nd round picks for. Then need a functioning general manager who can hire the right head coach and build up from there. Trading Stafford allowed the Lions organization to get the needed draft capital to build what we have today. Bears need to burn it all down and build up strong. Ryan Poles IS NOT Brad Holmes…not even close. You need your Brad Holmes who can evaluate talent at an NFL level.
Lions 2nd half defense bad last 3 weeks. Yeah no crap. Literally the whole defense is out. That's why we went for it on 4th and inches. Didn't want to give GB a chance. Defense is completely gutted
You are not a real bears fan because the packers own your team for two decades now. and they dislike each other. plus they laugh at you guys every year. if you don't like Detroit thats fine but don't act like you support green bay as well
Why would a bears fan be worried about about Green Bay or Detroit when yall sitting at 4 wins on the season 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣… yall make the nfc north look bad honestly
Shitcago fans need to sit down and humble themselves after they just got beat down by the Niners that’s missing half their starters😝😝they should just close that stadium down down and make a mall out of it
Shitcago fans need to sit down and humble themselves after they just got beat down by the Niners that’s missing half their starters😝😝they should just close that stadium down down and make a mall out of it
The real remarkable part of this lions win is the fact they had 8 defensive starters out and still found a way to win.
Bro was so confident they wasn't going for it on 4th and inches LMFAOOOO
I HATE Chicago teams as a rule .. but I can’t have anything but respect for fans like yourself. One pride!🦁🔥
@@williammontroy9024 are you kidding me?
Chicago fans are the absolute worst!
@@JayDuke-r2d packer fans right up there!
@ lmao .. usually it’s them or Packers fans … but you got to tip your hat to a classy respectful opposition fan when you see one .

Im a Lions fan, just gotta say you guys are so close its crazy. A couple of plays and you would be no.2 in the divison. Best of luck to you guys.

TE Tucker Kraft 6'5" 259lbs with the athletic get up
The man a beast
YO! I haven't personally thanked a Bears fan for Montey! Yall ain't wanna give this dude $4M? 😅thanks 😅
bears have had some games this year that were just so unfortunate, yall are not a bad team. One pride 🦁

even with your main defense i think green bay gets in field goal range with 40 seconds left, jordan love is known for hitting deep passes
Lions D line is ont 3rd string player in the game. Let’s be real
The reason he fumbled is bc 23 punches the ball out! The Bears just need a coach which seems u going to get one and the NFC North next year will be very very tough for the whole league!
Packers got several cheat codes from that j.gibbs tiktok picture and still lost.😂😂😂😂
Lions fan. The Bears are way better than their record indicates. They're really good, but the Packers, Vikings, and Lions are killing it this season and are in the same division.

A lot of the Luons plays, Goff has to throw the ball before they're open. Shh happens sometimes. It's OK tho, it'll work most of the time. 😅
The lions missing half they defense bro they got practice players and dudes off the street out there. That's not the same defense from early in the year
You said that when you had Justin Fields
the bears got a bright future ..... one pride!!!!!
Gotta get your own blanket. No way you wearing packers gear.

Had no idea you were a Bears fan! Harry Mack, Shaboozey, now da Bears?! Daaamn, I'm loving this channel. Keep up the good reactions, my man
Also, #85? Kraft I think. I'm guessing 6'3, 245. Dude's huge.
Appreciate it! 🎉
How dare you sit there and call yourselves unlucky when compared to the Lions? We've been a doormat for what, 60 years?
That is very true 😂

Yea 100% way defense was playing had to go for it they even said before game if its close they are going for it.
Crazy game
lions were 4 for 5 on 4th downs, 2 of them were were TD's.

Good reaction bro. Lions all the wayyyy.
No doubt!
At least your not a turn coat but a turn blanket.
For the time being you should be called the Chicago TeddyBears!

packers have the better qb and runningback but i think defense wise is different packers have a lot of rookies playing defensively
Bro, I'm the biggest Caleb hater. Have been since his sophomore year. I think he'll be better than Love next year tho. Loves not that good FR.
I know that Detroit and Chicago fans don't like each other, this isn't the late 80's. It's not the Pistons vs. Michael Jordan..
Bears are “close”??
