I know you said that you aren't going to talk about the price of units anymore. I wish you would reconsider. I really enjoy knowing the price ranges of the trailers. That way it helps me to know what is in my price range and where to start looking at things.
@NeaNea Venable it is really rare for a travel trailer to be that expensive, generally travel trailers are about half the price of that of a similar floorplan on a 5th wheel variant. 39k msrp sounds about right for this one. Theres a Gulfstream 33dbdb that goes for about 34k and its 42ft and has 2 identical master bedrooms with two full baths. This jayco is similar, but a little more expensive because its a jayco but not by much
The awning is the size of our trailer. Stunning. Love the lighter cabinets. A king bed even if it is 70 inches wide (not 75 like a standard). Great idea for the queen being a bunk house or 2 fold down couches. Luv the patio door. 2 words: pocket doors. Excellent video.
I have this trailer, mine doesn't have a fireplace and I have a loveseat that opens into a bed. I love my kingsize bedroom. We have it parked and built a 10' x 20' deck unto it and we simply love our summers at camp. It doesn't feel like a trailer at all.
My wife and I actually bought a Jayco 38BHDS earlier this year. But we got one with the bunkhouse in the front bedroom for the kids. 2 twin bunk beds on the left and a full additional booth table on the right that seats 4. WE ALL LOVE IT!! It is a fantastic travel trailer.
I love the two bedrooms, but you are right about a bunkbed option. The slideouts are great! It desperately needs a washer/dryer hookup somewhere. Also, I prefer the walk through bathroom design but both sides need to be enclosed and usable separately and privately. The white cabinets are beautiful.
This just helps illustrate the fact that there is SO MUCH variety available in the many different types of RVs on the market today. There is a floor plan for just about any situation imaginable. Thanks JD!
Hmm it challenges two of my deal breakers (considering for winter retirement-upcoming!) 1. The tv can swing a little in front of recliner 2. The guest space is not convertible but you could totally put a pull out sofa in there and change it
Its just beautiful you could also take out the second bed and put in washer dryer hookups and also make it a small office with a desk and chair it would be nice too
Definitely like the white/light cabinets in the living space however wish they kept the light cabinets throughout the bedrooms as well. Also truly really enjoyed the black wall accent throughout the kitchen and living spaces wonderful contrast all around.
This is the trailer I want if I ever have to live in one long term. We had 3 adults with 2 cats and 2 parrots in a fema trailer for 1 yr (trailer was 8 x 30 with no slides).
There is a fifth wheel I’ve seen with a similar floor plan to this....I think it’s the keystone cougar 364bhl. It’s got two full sized beds, one queen size bed, and 1.5 baths.
This is an amazing RV! Very beautiful, very spacious! I think it should have a metal roll down door to cover and protect the sliding glass door while in transit. That sliding glass door would make me nervous if I were going to be on the road a lot.
I noticed how you said it would be neat to have a bunkhouse in the front. Check out the Forest River Salem 36VBDS, it is that identical floor plan but with the Versa Bunk in the front. That was our favorite floor plan but it was a little too heavy for our truck.
Not bad . . it could surely use a washer/dryer combination in this unit and plus some sort of "traveling" cover for the sliding doors to provide protection while traveling . . somethings that this builder should provide, even if it is an option.😎
I think it would be awesome to have bunk beds in the master bedroom along with the w/d with locks on the cabinets so kids can’t open them. Having locks on cabinets would also be awesome for books.
You should check out the Forest River with the 2nd floor & amazing windows. Plus you don't have to walk through the bathroom to get in or out of the bedroom.
Keystone Springdale does this floor plan. They offer a two bedroom, bunkhouse, or added living space options with there 38ft park type models. Very nice models with a sliding glass door great for seasonal lot camping. Thanks for your videos very well done 👍🏼
I'd like the second bedroom to have a sofa bed and a desk. Then, it could be a TV room/office/2nd bedroom for guests. My husband and I don't always watch the same shows!
I've looked at these before and I am a huge jayco fan.. but you can get these optioned with a bunk house in the front or at least you used to... I've seen them with quad bunks and they also came with a small dinette on the right side with a flip down bunk over head and dual bunks on the driver side
This is perfect for my family of 4, Yes we could get a bunk house, but we don’t like the way the bunks are packed in there. This gives plenty of space and we already have an F350 Dually.
I wonder what the price of this RV is. I have a 2007 RV and it is the exact layout with the exception of, I actually do have 4 bunks in my 2nd Room. My boyfriend is wanting to rip all of it out and as do a Murphy bed with a desk on it to make him an office but still have a guest bedroom. I loved this RV and now I know why! Only reiterate the fact that I love my trailer so very much and I'm so happy it's my home!!!😄❤🙏
Overall a very innovative design by Jayco! I like the kitchen and living room layout! I’m not a fan of going through the bathroom 🚽 to get to the master bedroom. The lack of a washer dryer hookup would be a stopping point for me. Thanks JD for the video and as always look forward to your next one!
@Joe Duke It's a joke that you have the comments disabled on your own pitiful channel, yet you feel like it's okay to put AJ down here. Nobody asked for your opinion.
That gives me an idea about how the quad bunk 5th wheels should offer an alternate full bed with full clothes storage similar to the master suite. While midbunks are great for that, but the clothes storage just isn't going to be there when you lose about 36 inches of trailer width.
And for the first season u get a full load of formaldehyde off gassing. Ur eyes will burn & tear up. All free w/ purchase. And those exterior cubbies w/ carpet floors. Just another way to make these cheaper. Way to go Jayco.
Im on the fence about this Rig. First thing I would do is remove the front bedroom bed and use it as office, laundry, and dogs' room. But.... If I would have designed it, I would have added a loft over back bedroom w/stairs, NOT A LADDER, for access. Use the room in front bedroom as a living room w/opposing slides and add more counter top & cabinets in kitchen. Just my thoughts coz thats exactly what I need! ☺️
I absolutely love this unit!!!! I just don’t have anything to pull it with. I have a 2015 Ford Explorer and am looking for something large enough for 4 people comfortably.
Love this layout. For it to work for my family that front queen size bed would have to be swapped out for a bunkhouse option and a stacked wash dryer in it.
I despise the "must go through the bathroom to get to the bedroom" design on a trailer. Having to go outside just to get around the person using the bathroom is a chore. It could be worse, though. Imagine having to wake up someone sleeping by going through their bedroom to get to the bathroom. Definitely could've designed this to be a *lot* more practical
This is a camping trailer, you get a bigger bathroom utilizing the space verses making a hallway out of half of it. And really having to go around because you just have to get into the bedroom this very second! is such a chore! 🤦🏻 good grief! Good thing your not having to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom too, that’s just insane 🤣.
Awesome trailer for those who might want to travel, but are responsible for an older parent. Or for a couple of single people who want to travel together.
They are all so unique and beautiful.. I look at them everyday..but I don't hear the price..and also if it is in another state... how can I purchase it and get it to where I live..?? Lots of them are from a different state..but they are really beautiful 😍
Great review of this RV. I love the combination of light and dark colors. Having the second bedroom is unique, but the lack of an additional half bath could turn away potential buyers. Agree with your assessment of the sliding glass door. I'm OK with you not including the price, since this isn't a "normal" market right now. It's up to the buyer to do their own research on prices.
An aluminum role down security door to cover the sliding windows should be considered on there next year design. It think it would make for more safety while traveling.
I like it for a couple, but with the bathroom setup, I don't see it working for a roommate setting. I would honestly rather see the front room be more of an actual office or a bunkroom. It would be nice to see a company that would come out with an RV that is more geared towards the full-time RV'er that still needs an entire room as an office area, that includes internet access for both wifi and hardwire. Seeing how so many have had to renovate either a toy hauler or a bunkhouse to meet their needs, I would think some company would come up with something. I love the idea of the Jayco using this floor plan for something like that because this seems almost "homey" to me.
Nice! We have a 38ft Sunset Trail travel trailer and it is way to long. So if you want to go in most state or national parks it will not work. Hope to get a shorter trailer or motor home soon.
I agree I would rather have that second bedroom as a bunk for my boys. But that's just my opinion. The only thing I say that didn't look to work so great is in the bigger bedroom. You have all those drawers but doesn't look like they would be functional with how close the bed was. Other then that not bad!! Did I miss the price?
Towing with the sliding glads door is no problem. I have a gulf stream conquest. It is a 2002 so the floorplan is not that revolutionary. One difference, both bed rooms are in back seperated by the bath which is not a walkthru. Second bedroom is a bunk style. No issues towing it.
There is an option for this, with A) 2 bunk beds + small table in the front bedroom., B) there is also an option with 4 bunk beds in the front bedroom.
2nd BR is great wish it had a bath to go with the BR..I've seen one , FR SALEM, I THINK. Also w/d prep. The kitchen is nice like the 1 Bath R. Kinda short on inside storage. Mom/ daughter situation. F time, Destination type unit. Would not be my first choice...
I know you said that you aren't going to talk about the price of units anymore. I wish you would reconsider. I really enjoy knowing the price ranges of the trailers. That way it helps me to know what is in my price range and where to start looking at things.
according to the Jayco site, $39,533 MSRP*
Ron Hoover rv has/had the bunkhouse version with about $45k msrp.
This jayco is similar, but a little more expensive because its a jayco but not by much
I own this unit and mine was 43K out the door
Dustin Gaines where did you purchase yours? My family and I are looking for one like this.
This the trailer you buy to live in while you're building your house. Then you haul it the lake or mountains as a vacation home
That’s what I’m planning to do.
My dream… finally someone thought of the smaller with two bedrooms! 💕💕💕 One day hopefully soon…
I like the living room' s designs. Precise, well class and beautiful furniture.
I like the 2 bedroom idea so when my wife kicks me out I still have a good size bed to sleep in
Lol happens alot
Lol
Give her the smaller bed if she wants to be like that lol
Happy to hear that better than sleeping on a uncomfortable couch
You better be good or she’ll take your blankets. Lol
The glass doors would be a killer for me and I am sure many others.
The 2nd bedroom could have a Murphy bed perhaps - it could be an office.
I’m with you on that slider door! Maybe put a fold down deck there as well to protect the glass?
Yeah, that fold-down deck idea would be magnificent
Exactly what I was going to say. Some way to protect it while pulling it down the road would be a must.
Open Range nailed it with a fold down deck and sliding glass door on a travel trailer back around 6 years ago.
It’s perfect for small family. Just need a washer/dryer hook up.
I agree 1000%
I second that!
I third that! 😎✌🏻🤙🏻🤘🏻😎
I 5th that
I agree could one be added somewhere?
Josh Kleen, do you have any trouble with leaks, bugs or mice getting in? My brother had a travel trailer and the mice got in and chewed everything up.
NOW THIS RV is sweet! Love the 2 bedroom feature! Nice layout. Roomy. Great interior color!!!
Love this layout.
I think a Murphy bed would be a great idea for an office area....lots of couples are working from home now and they each would have a work area!
My son just bought this one. They moved in with two kids. It works perfect for them.
By far my favorite. I've been looking for a couple years now and I think this is the one
This just helps illustrate the fact that there is SO MUCH variety available in the many different types of RVs on the market today. There is a floor plan for just about any situation imaginable. Thanks JD!
Love the two bedroom idea but damn that’s long!
Hmm it challenges two of my deal breakers (considering for winter retirement-upcoming!) 1. The tv can swing a little in front of recliner 2. The guest space is not convertible but you could totally put a pull out sofa in there and change it
Perfect for a husband and wife like my husband and I who both snore and can go into our separate rooms in the middle of the night.
Perfect for mom and I, both retired and enjoy camping, just not tents anymore.
You are saving us money and lives, Appreciate mentioning truck size needed
I think the kids would love to have their own bedroom like that!
Its just beautiful you could also take out the second bed and put in washer dryer hookups and also make it a small office with a desk and chair it would be nice too
Very busy mic trailer yvamping with a bigger family
True
Definitely like the white/light cabinets in the living space however wish they kept the light cabinets throughout the bedrooms as well. Also truly really enjoyed the black wall accent throughout the kitchen and living spaces wonderful contrast all around.
Swap out the queen bed for upper bunks, and a sleeper sofa, and desk area below. Washer and dryer hook ups would be nice also.
Lovely home.
A washer/dryer combo is about all you'd need and you could use it as a destination or occasionally take for a trip.
this is perfect for my husband and I lol he can have the king room ill take the queen room! hahaha
This is an amazing RV! Very beautiful, very spacious! I think it should have a metal roll down door to cover and protect the sliding glass door while in transit. That sliding glass door would make me nervous if I were going to be on the road a lot.
Awesome trailer only thing missing is an outside kitchen thats a plus
Making that front bedroom a BH would be great for those of us with young kids
I also like the second bedroom. Very unique
Very nice
We have the 2020 38BHDS with fiberglass siding and winter package and bunkbeds and table in the front. We LOVE it.
Let the half ton hero dreams begin! By the way, SUPER nice trailer and floorplan. Very impressive
I noticed how you said it would be neat to have a bunkhouse in the front. Check out the Forest River Salem 36VBDS, it is that identical floor plan but with the Versa Bunk in the front. That was our favorite floor plan but it was a little too heavy for our truck.
Love the light cabinets in the galley. Nice layout and the 2nd bedroom is awesome.
Not bad . . it could surely use a washer/dryer combination in this unit and plus some sort of "traveling" cover for the sliding doors to provide protection while traveling . . somethings that this builder should provide, even if it is an option.😎
That 2nd bdrm is Awesome!!
LOVE THAT IT IS LIGHTER. ALOT OF WHITE/LIGHT. THANKS.
I think it would be awesome to have bunk beds in the master bedroom along with the w/d with locks on the cabinets so kids can’t open them. Having locks on cabinets would also be awesome for books.
This one is one of the best I’ve seen yet!! This travel trailer would make for an excellent lakeside cottage up in the great north woods of Wisconsin.
You should check out the Forest River with the 2nd floor & amazing windows. Plus you don't have to walk through the bathroom to get in or out of the bedroom.
Just started following your channel. Very well done video. Concise and to the point. Not overly long from a time standpoint.
Love this floor plan
A great unit, a smaller door in the 2nd bedroom would be nice, sandy kids or even adults that want a private entrance.
I'm with you, hope that they offer the same rig but with bunk beds up front, overall nice looking.
I've looked at these before and I am a huge jayco fan.. but you can get these optioned with a bunk house in the front or at least you used to... I've seen them with quad bunks and they also came with a small dinette on the right side with a flip down bunk over head and dual bunks on the driver side
We have a bunkhouse in our Aspen Trail and we love it. I much prefer that over the additional Queen bedroom.
This is perfect for my family of 4, Yes we could get a bunk house, but we don’t like the way the bunks are packed in there. This gives plenty of space and we already have an F350 Dually.
This would be great as an additional guest house on our property
I wonder what the price of this RV is. I have a 2007 RV and it is the exact layout with the exception of, I actually do have 4 bunks in my 2nd Room. Looks like something that people can live in full time
You’d think the sliding doors would have some kind of pull down soft cover to prevent direct strikes from rocks, etc
Joe Duke You can’t extend an awning when driving...
@Joe Duke It's a joke that you have the comments disabled on your own pitiful channel, yet you feel like it's okay to put AJ down here. Nobody asked for your opinion.

I really love it. For me, I would just change the king bedroom into a double and have a one room bathroom rather than a walk thru - better privacy.
And for the first season u get a full load of formaldehyde off gassing. Ur eyes will burn & tear up. All free w/ purchase.
And those exterior cubbies w/ carpet floors. Just another way to make these cheaper. Way to go Jayco.

I like the two bedroom idea because we have an autistic adult daughter and this is perfect for travel instead of the bunk rooms
I have one similar, towing is not an issue. Adding a generator for the fridge and ac makes it boondockable.
Nice seasonal weekend campers
This is a very cool thought out floor plan , the two bedrooms is awesome, I think the whole thing is awesome .
The 38BHDS does have a quad bunk available, in fact that queen is the optional layout for that floor plan.
God that's nicer than some apartment. I could live in that. Must be neat to rough it in something like that. All we had was a tent
I really like it but at 38' and 2 bedrooms, I would happily sacrifice a little space in the common area for a second bath. Still, very nicely done.
a second bath or even just a bath that doesn't separate the master bedroom from the rest of the trailer...
Yes push the entertainment back some go with a standard door and put a small bath, with a bunk room in the front and it's a winner
This rv is a lot nicer than some apts/ houses lol
I despise the "must go through the bathroom to get to the bedroom" design on a trailer. Having to go outside just to get around the person using the bathroom is a chore. It could be worse, though. Imagine having to wake up someone sleeping by going through their bedroom to get to the bathroom.

You can get in from the outside, your own private entrance.
I agree you with 100% bad design
Definitely needs the W&D hookups
Would definitely need a bunk room cor the second bedroom, and a bit more storage in there….also counter space is nonexistent
Definitely need more options with bunkhouses and outside kitchens.
The perfect travel trailer minus the carpet on the slides! Wishing dealers would change this when purchasing from the manufacturer
I like this a lot. Jayco has great finishes and sensible floorplans. Would love to see a bunkhouse in the front for more fun sleeping options.
An additional half bath would make this PERFECT.... although no idea where it would land in the floorplan...
What was behind spare tire? Amazing this would be for roommate etc. So cool.
Great review of this RV. I love the combination of light and dark colors. Having the second bedroom is unique, but the lack of an additional half bath could turn away potential buyers. An aluminum role down security door to cover the sliding windows should be considered on there next year design. It think it would make for more safety while traveling.
Finally, a two bedroom "Married Edition!" LOL
I like it for a couple, but with the bathroom setup, I don't see it working for a roommate setting. I would honestly rather see the front room be more of an actual office or a bunkroom.
It would be nice to see a company that would come out with an RV that is more geared towards the full-time RV'er that still needs an entire room as an office area, that includes internet access for both wifi and hardwire. Yeh totally cool layout for two couples and some kids
I like the bed size that is in it . No bunks for me !!
Hubby and I would love 2 full beds for us!
I'd really like that front room to be a bunk house. Otherwise they lay out is what I'm looking for
I love this camper a lot I would love to on this one
this has been on our radar it can be had for 29k easily new or 22-25 2 years old and 3 options for the guest room
Astonishing Mate
2nd BR is great wish it had a bath to go with the BR..I've seen one , FR SALEM, I THINK. Also w/d prep. The kitchen is nice like the 1 Bath R. Kinda short on inside storage. Mom/ daughter situation. F time,
Destination type unit. Would not be my first choice...
Really love it!
