People in most countries: "I've discovered the marauders map! Time to go steal priceless art!"
The French: "The marauders map! Time to restore some abandoned architecture! Viva la France!"

@@Saint_nobody Well, that bigfoot's channel has been kind of a gathering for us unusual internet users. I personally know a Cannibalistic chicken, A Spirit of Vengeance, and a Tree with internet access. There's also a Yeti, a Swamp Ape, and a wendigo girl, but curiously I haven't noticed a Chupacabra.

The city, instead of thanking the engineer (he had graduated as an engineer from a proper Portland university) decided to accuse the man of practicing engineering without a licence, and took him to court. This is the kind of madness that happens in Portland nowadays.

Honestly.. These people have my respect. I only know of a few groups who would be willing to do stuff like this. I used to be part of one that fixed and worked on things in the US ( as well as one in Japan but I have not worked with that group too often. At least not as often as the one in the US. Partially due to the fact that I only help those in Japan once in a while when I am visiting family and friends there. )
I probably should not mention this at all since they will hate me for it. ( Especially those in my home country. ) But honestly I think they deserve at least some recognition as well.. Only reason why I even hint at their existence.

That has to be one of the most inspiring stories of positive efforts in the preservation of valuable historical artifacts. And all the while they could have, they never stole a thing. It reminds me of the movie “The Social Network” (based on the founding of Facebook) when Jesse Eisenburg claims that he should be given some acknowledgement from Harvard’s board for his findings of such gaping holes in their internet security. Much as the French group did, he was also treated aggressively, and in no way thanked for his exploits, and showing where and how he infiltrated the network. This group should be proud of their contribution, all out of their own pocket came any financial necessity, their restoration of who knows how many priceless arts, and never once, wanted a thank you, or even an acknowledgement for their doings. I hope that they’re tradition lives on for years to come.
