  • From Wikipedia,
"The Salton Sea is a shallow, landlocked, highly saline body of water in Riverside and Imperial counties at the southern end of the U.S. state of California. It lies on the San Andreas Fault within the Salton Trough, which stretches to the Gulf of California in Mexico."
A eerie and strange place to be. Never been before. The colors of the water, smells, feelings in the air. So many lost souls. These flights are around Salton City and Desert Shores, the west side of the lake.
Air 2S over what felt like the Dead Sea or maybe the Sultan Sea, yet this is the SALTon Sea.

A few years ago I used to haul produce out of the Brawley area. So I would drive past the Salton Sea on a regular basis. I would often stop at the indian casino and have dinner and spend the night in their truck parking lot. Always super nice people working there. A part of my life that wont be forgotten.

California City and Salton City both have that special eerie magic that only failed boom towns have... So cool!

Thanks for watching and the kind words! It's not a deep sea. I believe it's around 30' on average and around 50' at its deepest.

I'm not sure what's more depressing, the music or the Salton Sea

I was really hoping the rains we had this year would have filled it up. Guess they diverted no water to it.
