My mother always had my jeans done like this because she wanted me to be her “little cowboy” with a button up shirt and jeans like this and a Stetson. Yes I had to go to school like that. To make a long story short I always had to walk like an astronaut that shat himself because my jeans had turned into cardboard.
I told my fiance's mother that her son has the most perfect little bubble butt. And she said "you should've seen his bubble butt in a pair of Wranglers as baby!!" & My jaw DROPPED because he is the only man I've ever dated that disliked country music/clothing/boots
Man when I was a teenager I was the person you came to to get those jeans starched and creased , cleaners baby bye I was it! My pants would stand for 3 days after I’ve worn and removed .. we played no games about the crease .. I miss the damn 90’s
Sta flo all the way. I don’t let the cleaners do it though. They will destroy jeans fast and in a hurry. Starch is also good for repelling dirt, spills etc. It’s like a Teflon coat.
This is how we used to starch our jeans back in the 70's, they stood up by themselves... My mother used to crochet her dollies as well, and used this type of heavy starch for her projects...
This is called a "cowboy starch" because traditionally cowboys would starch their jeans and shirts like this in order to prevent thorns from punching through their clothes when riding horseback in the brush. Especially in south and west Texas.
I remember when I 1st moved to Texas I'd go pick up my dad's jeans at the cleaners and 1st time I checked out his wranglers I tripped out pretty hard. But now I can't see any other way to wear mine too. Plus if you're drunk enough the heavy starch keeps you from falling over
Makes fun of him for doing something that prolongs the life of his pants and keeps the dirt off….and then has nails like that and a hand on a phone. Grow up woman
@@reidbankert4425 When your jeans are starched, do you use them to stub cigarettes out when you are working in the stables or in an area of dry grass. I still remember the day that that a bale of hay caught alight after a guy used a lighter to burn through the string and another guy rolled on it in his starched Levi's to put it out. Would you thing that it was crazy to stomp or roll on a fire in the stables to put it out with your starched jeans, or would you assume that they would put the flames out without catching alight and save having to beat it out with your bare hands.?
@@dallaserickson2345 Have you ever seen a bale of dry hay catch on fire.? It flame up to knee high within seconds and stomping it sends embers flying everywhere, including onto your shirt and hair. Assuming that you catch it when the fire starts, the best way is to scrunch it with your hands. But when the fire is larger, rolling on it positively and not too fast is the easiest way to prevent the fire from spreading. The heat is at the top of the flame, so heavy denim or cowhide leather jeans will put them out before enough heat penetrates to catch denim alight or cause any serious burns. Needless to say I am talking about a fire that can be put out within 10 to 20 seconds, definitely not rolling around in a blazing barn. Another way is to smother the flames with a denim or leather jacket to contain the embers and then stomp it down. Even a heavy tee- shirt will contain the embers, but it will mostly end up scorched.
I have been doing that with my wranglers most of my life never had a problem walking around in them . Once you put them on they will loosen up. lmao and yes I have lived in the greatest state in the US my whole life Texas.

Where do you guys take your jeans to get starched?
The ironing board
A dry cleaner can help you with that. But it's an easy task to do at home.
