The mangaka for volume 7 is a different person entirely from the one who does the main series (which is why its actually good). I've actually only heard good things about the Depressed Magician manga. It just gets thrown into the same pile as the main manga unfortunately.
Come on the manga is great the difference is things like subplots that don't really matter to the story as a whole get left out actually try it it's not bad now the manga adaptation of some other isekai are worse

LN had too many deep explanation and Anime did well on the animation skipping the monologue but Manga just fit all of them in just 1 and half page almost with the fight scene consisting only a few panels
the most recent episode was definitely a step in the right direction. it really reminded me of the first season. the animation was nice and decently consistent as opposed to the previous episodes. we can only hope it gets better from here.
i honestly think that episodes 1-2 established the focus of the 2 episodes: rudeus while having taken the first few steps outside since the last episode of s1 it set up that the slump is still there and did it's job fine to make me care enough. seeing him progress and stumble after "that" made for a good intro for where rudeus' character is rn in the story

That is one of the most important reasons that the two have had very different receptions. As you might know, the main MT manga (by Yuka Fujikawa) is generally considered to be a poor adaptation in that it has changed the tone and color of the scenes in LN (and WN) and character depictions, whereas the spin-off manga (covering the LN volume 7) by Kazusa Yuneda is considered to have done a superb job in retelling the LN volume 7 story in a very faithful way to the source material. To be fair, the main manga (by Yuka Fujikawa) gets noticeably better as it starts covering the-so-called school arc than before. But even its school arc is way poorer than the spin-off manga covering LN volume 7.

I’ve never understood the debate about which form is better. If it’s just a good series then multiple forms of adaptations will reach more fans who would’ve otherwise never seen the work. And again as long it’s just a good series then everyone will enjoy it in their own chosen mediums regardless of the minor differences. Edit: for reference I watched all of season 2, switched to manga, and picked up midway through volume 13 in the light novel and have finished up to volume 14. I’m very happy with all ways I’ve experienced the story.
They’re most likely saving all the best animation for the academy arc. It would of been nice to get the conclusion with Sara or more time with big bro Soldat but I am excited for this next arc since it seems they’re going to be all in on

I started reading the manga back in 2016 (maybe 17), long before it became a Huge anime/ln for many, and the fact that the anime will no doubt surpass the manga is absolutely ridiculous!! They've been dragging it out/taking breaks So often that part 2 of season will give people No reason to even read the manga anymore. They should've at Least been at volume 14 or 15 by now, preparing for the Big rematch.
i agree with you, they rushed it. tho i think someone who never read the novel won't even notice, so it's only really sad for all the novel readers since we have all those fine details we miss

It's also the arc which shows the city Rudeus buys a house and lives there for the rest of his life. It's one of the most important arcs for me at least. The characters introduced in it become lifelong close friends of Rudeus. Which I freaking loved. So yeah the actions gonna be mid to little bit the amount of content is gonna be big. A good example for this is Vinland saga season 1 vs season 2.
Well trying to animate everything as best as possible but I may be the odd one out I love the magna the Ln all equally and hope the magna comes out with a new chapter soon but hope that the magna artist and the production team are taking care of themselves I'm sure they love this series and to make it perfect for us for the up coming season and sequel series

Say what you will about the shortcomings of season 2, but the manga is by far artistically worse. Sometimes, the panels are so drastically inconsistent, I thought the artist was bonked on the head and replaced with a newbie halfway through a chapter. Also, the tone is completely different in a lot of places, and there's plenty the manga leaves out and doesn't bother to adapt either.

I haven't read the novel or the manga... the anime, if you don't have anything to compare it to, is still a good anime.... but from the shorts I see from those who read the novel, I would like this anime to have the same treatment as Fullmetal Alchemist. There are many hidden things that would make a world of difference... but so far the anime has been a solid 7.5/10, it's different from other anime in the genre, the characters have (serious) flaws and are "realistic" for that world. for me at least
Mushuko tensei S1 is not good because of animation its because of the story , just because S2 animation was MEH does not mean its bad lets wait for cour 1 to end .
