@@Surfmus you can get an allergic reaction from epoxy resin. at first touch with your skin, or after a few years. dont get in contact with it without gloves etc.
@@lazyButAlive 30 years using it. Not a single allergic reaction. The reason of using gloves it to avoid fish eyes on the board when glassing it. I use most of the time but when peeling the cutlap I use my hands/fingernails. Polyester resin in the other hand is a hassle. It stinks.
A well ventilated room is adequate for Entropy as stated on the container. Same with other surfboard epoxies. But ya, its probly not worth the risk. Tip: I watch any fly or insect that gets into the room, if the fumes are bad they tend to act a little funny.
I know eh. Also who cares if its sustainable when its not environmentally friendly. Foam dust, sanded resin dust, used resin cups, used tape from cut laps and hot coats. Its all gotta go somewhere. I just try to use as few materials as possible.
How could you even use the word sustainable? Does no one know what it actually means? of course its a good step forward but still far away from sustainable.
Sustainable? The first thing I see is that stinky old 2 stroke VW Bulli Bus. If you want to live sustainable you should rate fancy lifestyle lower than anything else.
Those were not 2 stroke (cycle) engines as born unless someone supplanted an old Saab motor in it for some stupid reason. Air cooled 4 cylinder boxer configuration pushrod overhead valve 4 stroke gasoline engines in 'em, not super clean but not as bad as a diesel. Far from fancy. 2 stroke engines were hardly ever used in autos. That one most likely no catalytic converters though later ones I think may have had them when built. Would argue that an old car properly maintained and driven for a really long time (in theory indefinitely) is not nearly as wasteful as buying new rides and consuming and throwing away (like every KIA ever made) but of course not as safe to crash in or drive as well but much more fun IMHO. Some dudes have converted them to an electric drive train which looks really interesting....
Aside from wrong engine spec, maybe they drive it 100 miles a month (like I do with my gas guzzling truck), vs. 1000 (like many commuters do with their hybrids✌️😎
Cool idea. Not sure if "eco friendly" is accurate though. Now just make a wave pool in ohio and I'm set.
Would be pretty cool if it was in Aus
Can you use this stuff without a mask?
no is still toxic.
Read the msds sheet for the resin
Yes, sure. But the EPS dust is a hassle. The Epoxy resin isn't as toxic as Polyester.

The mask man you will be shaper not for long time!
realy ECO make a deck lam with 1 kilo of resin while you only need 200 grams
His lamination technique didn't look all that flash/efficient to be honest. So much for enviro friendly...
Respiratory protection lads.....

HAHAHAHA 20%
0% sustainable even the VW T1 isn't.
its exactly as bad as recyclable as other boards.
More marketing guff to sell Eco friendly board components. 😉
