- What’s happening in this Doom movieclip?
The group is suddenly attacked by creatures who kill Duke (Razaaq Adoti) and drag Sarge (Dwayne Johnson from Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and the Fast and Furious saga) and Pinky (Dexter Fletcher) away. Reaper (Karl Urban from The Lord of the Rings) is wounded by a ricocheting bullet. To prevent him from bleeding to death, Sam (Rosamund Pike from Die Another Day and Gone Girl) injects her brother with the C24 serum, despite his concern that his violent past predisposes him to transform into a creature.

What’s the movie Doom about?
A terrible thing happened to the Olduvai scientific research station, based on the planet Mars. All experiments have stopped, communication is no longer possible. The last messages received are frightening to say the least. The level 5 quarantine is declared and the only people allowed access are the members of the Rapid Response Tactical Squad (RRTS). The scientists at this station on the Red Planet have accidentally opened a door into which all the creatures of hell have rushed. An army of nightmare creatures of unknown origin is lurking behind every corner of the countless rooms and corridors of the base, killing the few remaining humans...

Karl Urban is way underrated as an actor
Agreed.
100%
How so? He has had many great roles.
@@texasoutlaw4222 and still not nearly enough.
@@Specialflip why? Because he hasnt won any awards?
2 universal facts:
1_Karl Urban kicks ass.
2_No bras allowed in space.
Yup can't carry too much weight during space flights!!😊
sigourney weaver
Rosamund pike!

She obviously has a bra on but ok.
You can clearly see her bra at 2:20 though, so... ?
I was 7 years old when I watch this movie. My uncle brought this from his friend's shop. At that time, it was the coolest, the most terrifying action/alien movie for me. I didn't even know that it was based from a game or how everyone hated it.
You ever played the game? Before COD, way before 3D, there was only 2.5D, and pixels. id software uploaded shareware DOOM in the early days of the internet, and the game made history.
@@apurugganan For the 7 years old me? Nope, I haven't. How should I put this... I came from a humble family. We don't have any computer or playstation. In my elementary school days, my brother and I only playing games twice a year on every break at the end of the semesters an only for a few days (in PS One without many CDs, borrowed from our relatives only if we became one of the five best in our class). In sort, my option in playing games was really limited at that time. 🙂
@@yudhaadrian47 I hear ya, had modest means myself at that age, and wondered how my schoolmates had all the nice toys. But hey they were still fun times to be growing up...you just had to figure things out. Keep on keepin on✌️
I hate it because it was so off from the original atmosphere. This movie is basically a big pile of shit compared to the game(s). The oddly placed humor and weird dialogue didn't help either. Doom 3's game play and cut scenes did a way better job at reimagining the original Doom. You should play it.
@@PedroMartinez-sp1cb Yeah, I know what you feel. It's like when I can't enjoy DmC because I love Devil May Cry, and DmC was like shitting on the the original concept and turned it into garbage. For 7 yo me who don't know that it was adapted from a game (or it supposed to be), it feels like a fresh concept. Maybe that's why I like the movie.
Thanks, I'm interested in playing DOOM series again. Maybe after I finished my final LOL
Sarge: I'm not supposed to die! I'm the doomguuuuy
that would be a great idea actually to cast him as Doom Slayer ... perfect lol
Oh wait, just have to respawn somewhere...
When I first saw this movie I really thought the rock was the doomguy
Actually Karl Urban would be morw perfect he has the voice and the looks
No, you’re really not.
"I'm not suppose to die... the producer lied to me..." if he added that, it would be hilarious.
haha i thought it was a given!
"That doesn't work for me brother"
I think it was after this movie that the rock had the contract where he can’t die or lose a fight
Do we actually see him die tho?
After Doom: Anihilation everyone started to like this movie.
I allways liked this movie same as the game doom3 that so many people dislike, who cares whe cant agree on everything
The 2005 Doom movie is so frustrating, because just a few tweaks and it would be an ideal Doom movie.
Doom Antihalation is also very frustrating, because, again, they were very close to realizing the first episode of the original game, but they just didn't have the budget (Or didn't allocate that budget appropriately). They had the perfect Doomguy in Captain Savage within the movie. They had the right location, Phobos. They had some decent sets... The writing was just awful, and the ending should have featured a proper Baron of Hell.
All it takes to make a bad movie good is a worse sequel. Though I never minded Doom, it was what it was.
I enjoyed this movie but do wish it had been a portal not a disease though the brief fps scene was epic.
@RubenNeves22 Doom (1993) and Doom³ are my favourites. People crap on this movie yet love the newer Doom games, but neither of which are true to the original game so that baffles me.
"Im not supposed to die" had me every fuckin time, i was bursting first time i watched this movie
I love Rosamund Pike. She's not just a gorgeous woman, but a very talented actress. I really can't wait to see her as Moiraine Damodred in The Wheel of Time. She was a perfect choice. She'll have the sternness, and haughtiness of an Aes Sedai, but also the caring and love Moiraine held tight inside. And women like her will make great Aes Sedai. Old enough to love mature, but young and pretty enough to pull of the Ageless look Aes Sedai are supposed to have. Karl would be pretty good as a Forsaken of course, or better yet, a Death Watch Guard. I really can't wait. The series is so long, I hope I live to see it fulfilled.
Welp. I'm sure she tried her best.
*Dwayne Johnson and others be like, "Aight boys, let's watch the man get mauled to death first by this handsome monster here and then we shoot as it successfully escapes"*
He had a gun so he is a enemy
I think it can be attributed to shock and not wanting hit a comrade while firing (although I guess Sarge wouldn't have hesitated to put Pinky down)
Good movie. The Rock should play more villain roles....That all American GI Joe persona he plays in every movie is kinda dull.
Movie name
Doom.
I can't watch anyting he's in, because he plays the same role in every movie.
You would also think that with the $$ for the budget they could at least buy Mr Johnson shirts that fit him rather than constantly making him wear shirts that would barely fit his little brother....
@@jamesmarshall9705 its in the title
always liked this movie,,,watched it many times) and it has one of the best themes. "Clint Mansell-Sibling Rivalry"
now that i think about it, this film is actually quite doomy, and if you know the story of the original game, in this films universe Reaper is technically the Doomguy
Rosamund Pike so gorgeous
you see you see pinky wasn't watching were he should have been watching that is why he got owned🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Обожаю эту актрису.
1:55 Man, I have always impressed by how Karl Urban pulls out the look like this. You can see the pure surprise and terror on his face. Only a badass actor could produce such a thing. My dude is amazing!
I can't stop laughing when the Rock said the line
"Im not supposed to die" 🤣🤣
The Rock: I am not suppose to die.
Director: Change of script...... What? You didn't read the memo?
Alas, poor Pinky... delivering some of the movie's best lines, and getting the Hulk/Loki treatment, then dragged off to be an unwilling sexual conquest for the 'Hell Knight' and subsequently mutated into the Pinky 'demon'.
Such is life on Mars, in the Doom Universe ...
@1:14 I think he’s saying “Magazine!” not “I can’t see!”
"I can't see" is way funnier.... he is blasting away as they rock a tactical "delay and defend" with-drawl and he is yelling, "I can't see"... too damn funny with the captions....
Glad I didn't have to scroll far to see this comment haha
In the army the team tactic they are doing is called bounding when you reload you say reloading or changing magazine.
They said that Doom anihilation were Good......
this is probably the best doom movie ever made of a amount of tw2
Even though the plot itself was poor, I liked the film's premise - it was ambiguous whether the genetic changes in the Martians were scientific or had more darker origins
See thats the thing that she blatantly says that went over majority of people's heads which was 10% of the human genome is completely unmapped and that maybe the 24th chromosome is the final missing piece separating us from being angelic beings or demonic ones.
Doom (2005) Dwayne Johnson as Sarge and Karl Urban as Reaper. Also in the cast are Razaaq Adoti, Rosamund Pike, Deobia Oparei, Ben Daniels, Al Weaver, Dexter Fletcher, Brian Steele and Richard Burke in their supporting roles.
That lady’s acting was just this:
👁👄👁
this is what happens when you're not angry enough
I dont remember this scene in Gone Girl?
That's because it is from James Bond: die another day. ;)
Dude, this it totally Seabiscuit.
It's from johnny english you muppets..
nah, this is from Wrath of the Titans
Its Gone Girl deleted scenes. You can check them all on the Director’s Cut DVD.
"I am not suppose to die" that is such a Dwayne Johnson line.
This movie is where I started to have a crush on Rosamund. Gone girl was the movie that made me despise her. She is that good of an actress imho!
11 yr old me was blown away by The Rock saying he wasnt supposed to die cause hes the star
havent you played doom then? the rock is Sarge not Doomguy
Man we need another doom
We have another doom at home, it's called Doom Annihilation
Rosamund Pike in that white top! Oooh la-la!
All this action and bloodshed yet she has almost perfectly white dress throughout😂
“I’m not supposed to die”. Ya we have some budget problem. So change of plans
That woman cam really scream! 👍
Rosamund Pike ❤️
Watched this a long ago... This is a great movie ...
"No John, you are the demons"
And then John was a zombie.
This film is great
Damn, they even got the Rock
Cant believe this came out almost 20 years ago.
Ah yes. THE ONLY THING THEY FEAR IS YOU!
Lol.. I love the cartoony recochet bullet sound 😀 and that many of the shots is out of focus when they are not suppose to..
Anyways, this does look better than I remember.
Having a sister "you're my brother, I know you" is my favourite line.
Honestly the first time I watched this movie I was let down, but looking back now on my like 3rd or 4th viewing I actually enjoy this movie, guilty pleasure for sure, but it's fun imo!!!....
Okay, to those laughing at the rock's final line, it was not a plead for life, it was a warning to the others. He knew he was gonna be chosen to become a demon instead of being killed, hence the "I'm not supposed to die"
What always stayed with me was how that super special "Chromosome 24" macguffin was just randomly sitting out on a table. You'd think they would put such stuff in a locked fridge at least.
I did not see enough rip and tear
This film is not a masterpiece or anything, but it's severely underrated because people were upset that it wasn't more like the game. If you just think of it as an original movie which happens to include certain callouts to the game, then the movie is fine.
If your favourite Doom is Doom 3 then this movie is excellent. Incidentally Doom 3 is 20 years old this year, I think I need to play it through again for old times sake.
I just realized the rock died in this movie than any other movies he's been in
He also died in Mummy 2. Well technically his CGI did
And he also died in the movie of Get Smart
His last line is "I'm not supposed to die"
He died in the other guy
i like how they dressed her in white to make her be different from everyone else
the rock thinking he is the lead : i am not supposed to die!!
I never *knew* Karl Urban until The Boys. He's a great actor, but he's largely nondescript.
Now it's fun watching old movies and recognizing him here and there.
They had the actor that played Judge Dredd. Really, imagine him, dressed as the doom slayer, without saying a single word rather than, before killing the final enemy in the final duel, "reap and tear". With the story, or rather the visuals of Doom Ethernal. It would make an incredible action movie. But nope...
Having Carl Urban only speak one line sounds honestly a waste to me. One of the best things of Dredd was the one liners. The movie had the right ingredients to be good as it was. But it was all over the place. It tried to balance way to many plates at the same time. Maybe if they had spent more time developing the character of Reaper and his relationship with his sister instead of out of focus and chaotic shooting scenes for the sake of trying to be Doom the oldschool videogame in movie format and with half made exposition of the UAC and its protocols it could have been something.
@@SelvenXXUP Proving yet again that any attempt to make a movie based on a game should MUST always be greeted with *Didn’t you see what happened to Super Mario??* 🤬
He must of appeared out of thin air like flash for them not to be able to see him pop up behind him like that.
Is there something behind me? “Hey Beavis, don’t turn around”
an excusable movie trick
-3:35, "magazine, magazine", not i can't see, dufus!🤣👍
2 years from this movie you got 300.
La primera vez que vi un ¨Hay algo detrás de mi¨
Nice reaction time to the initial attack -- for a sloth.
I'm pretty sure he wasn't saying "I can't see." I think he was saying "Magazine! Magazine!" What supports this was he was reloading as he was shouting.
one if not first movie that had a fps camera angle in a scene. which i at the time i found kind of cool. and something i haven´t seen before from what i remember.
back when Billy Butcher was fighting Black Adam in Space
What Rock was waiting for? Why he started shooting only after he ran away
Didn't know Superman's Mom(MARTHA) survived this Movie... Both being in it and watching it 🤣🤣🤣
Diane Lane played Martha.
I don't recall Rosamund Pike ever playing as Martha in any Superman movie.
Never understood how they let it get away
So, was Karl Urban suppose to be a proto-Doom Guy?
Yes
2:08 Everyone thought he was the main character? :)🤔🤔🤔
Doom, no one get out alive, reaper and his sister get out alive.....sigh....
MC: "I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO DIE".
This movie literally devolves into a fight over who gets to be doomguy😂
nanow all might ahve worked if he didnt break the control buttom
0:14 Karl urban got hit by a wheelchair 😣 that is painful on many levels
sucks when they come from behind
That's what she said
They should have had him bunnyhopping around after he gets his powers!
idc man this movie IS ass but the passion and love aged like fine wine and i can fully appreciate it
Cool how they show that Reaper is a good person. He is almost dead and all he cares off is his sister's life. And one more thing. Bat people dont't really think they bad. Only good persons can be so harsh to themselfs
The best DOOM movie. Fir now.
I know this movie had a lot of hate but I actually enjoyed this movie being its own thing. I'm sure if I played the game I would hate it too.
I watched it the other day and enjoyed it a lot! Even though I’m 35 now.
My question is where did all the zombies come from?
the humans of the station that they cant save before from the demons infection
Well, this compound V gave Butcher FPS abilities
there's a couple of things I wouldn't mind being inside of: the international space station, the cathedral of notre dame, rosamund pike...
that was gross.
.... can't disagree though.
Billy Butcher before joining the boys
There's something behind me isn't there!!!😱😱😱😱0:06
Oh no, there's a giant monster attacking Duke.
Let's wait until it kills him and leaves before we shoot at it, yea? Solid.
i am thinking a doom 2 because these clips going to get old someday
What a nightmare. a beautiful lady in white clothes among monsters with scary faces
imagine if they made a 3D movie set in Doom Eternal.
Imagine the motion sickness from all that platforming...
@@Rapscallion2009 And everyone ducking in their seats, all at the same time
Great movie but after the new Doom games they should remake the movie it could be really amazing
There was Doom: Annihilation, released in 2019. Was even worse than the 2005 one sadly. They were unable to get the rights for story assets from the Doom reboot games so the setting was still based from Doom 3.
"I can't see. I can't see"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don't know how Karl Urban got the role of Butcher from The Boys, did the creators love his performance in this film, or, did they love him when he played Judge Dredd (2012)?
0:26-0:27, 0:31, 0:37, 1:00, 1:42-1:43, 1:56, 2:19, 2:31-2:32, 3:34, 3:56
The alien also knows that he has to run cause The Rock is after his @$$ 😄👍🙏💯
You know this would be a good prequel, after the events of doom 2005, John would have ptsd and would disobey his commanding officer and be sent to phobos where uac is experimenting with portals (UAC is a billion dollar corp so it would be obvious for them to research about lots of things, genomes, portal trasnportation and weapons) the story would go on to be like doom 1993
Easy there Tiger let’s not get carried away now (but throw in *Dolph Lundgren* this time, and you may get a green light as they say in Hollywood
Totally forgot that Rosmund Pike was in it..
no matter what all say this movie is brilliant
Seraphim and father watched this and said “nah yeah this is a good idea”
Nice cover
a doom movie without demons in it
When I was a kid, I thought this movie was based of Gears of wars Xbox game.
I liked it.
There should be a prequel or a sequel
Oh something right behind me isn’t there 0:07
