I did it for neither actually. I just wanted the kid to level faster via Paragon. I didn't find the Berserker Staff, but I probably should use it next time to destroy the Falcon Sisters.
Claude could have been paired with someone else! I paired him with Taillte, personally, though I've seen him paired with Erin, as well. I'm more confused about pairing Bridget with Dew instead of Holyn or Jamke. Poor Jamke and Claude were the only nobles not to produce heirs, and Luna was lost forever.
I like that this game didn't place a massive emphasis on the Fire Emblem unlike other games. Instead, it is a family crest with no importance besides its symbolism. All Fire Emblems should be like House Velthomer's, merely a symbol of something, and not a story item.
Me TOOO!!!! I bought my copy from www.gamereproductions.com/ (a reproduction cartridge) , Thank God for this video! Does the ending not show the amount of turns and such?
I've never understood what big/grave mistake Julius is referring to in Julia's confrontation quote. Julia is free, has the Naga tome, and it was made clear that she hates what Julius has become. Other than getting killed, allowing Julia to be freed by Seliph, I don't see how Manfroy fucked up. I mean, Manfroy saw use in her as a pawn, which had some merit, as none of them figured Manfroy could be killed, which meant there was little concern that Julia COULD be freed, though from this I wonder how Deirdre was freed. Basically they had it in the bag that Julia would either kill Seliph and otherwise rout the rebels, or they would kill her and that would take care of her for them. Either way, win/win, so how did Manfroy fuck up, Julius? Eh?
The mistake was Manfroy not being completely obedient to Julius when he initially said he wanted to kill Julia. If Manfroy had shut up and complied, there would have been zero chance of anything happening with regard to Julia somehow claiming the Naga tome and being capable of fighting back against Julius. That was Manfroy’s grave mistake.
Ugh. That would be pretty terrible if they actually translated it as "Serisshu". For a character that is supposed to be the son of Sigurd who has a pretty normal (For FE's world anyway) name, "Serisshu" sounds like the father tried too hard to name him and failed badly at that. Seliph sounds great, since it sounds similiar to Seraph, which fits Seliph's personality and actions.
I guess so. Never occurred to me to putting all of them together, to be honest, usually only Dermott and Nanna. I usually forgot that leadership is a thing.
I had no problems with it. I can't be specific, but the keyword here is 9x. You will have to figure out what that means by yourself. It could also mean that whatever saves you are using aren't compatible with whatever you are using.
Granted, a Larcei sired by Lex who marries one of Dannan’s sons is another example of relative marriage. At least the child they make can make the Helswath usable by someone, assuming Burian didn’t have an heir 😂
I know I talked about this before, but anyone else think Celice was the WRONG person for the the throne of Grandbell? JULIA is the one with Major Naga blood. JULIA should have become the reigning monarch of Grandbell. Yes, Celice is Deirdre's eldest, but his lineage is BALDUR. Poor Chalphy, robbed of its rightful ruler.
But isn't Major Holy Blood a prerequisite to rule? Azmur, Kurth, Deirdre, they all had Major Naga blood. Celice doesn't. And Oifey can't exactly carry on the Baldur lineage, either (only a Major Blood carrier can sire/birth another Major Blood carrier).
@@karmapunch3410 They don't need to be a Major to carry the throne.Eltoshan,Ares's father is the example. His family is just a small family branch of Augustria. And his ancestor was married to a youngest girl from Augustria's ruler (Real heir of Hezul blood). And the youngest girl was awaken her Major Hezul blood lately. They must swear NEVER BETRAY the Augustria if they want to keep Miltoleen. That makes Eltoshan became the Hezul's heir and lately Ares. And we have an Eltoshan with a sorrow fate.
Actually, two minor Holy Bloods can give birth to a child with Major Holy Blood. Ayra x Chulainn's children end up with Major Holy Blood. If Shanan breaks the Balmung he can sell it and either Ultster or Larcei can buy and repair it and use it. That's how Arvis and Deirdre (both minor Loptyr blood) gave birth to Julius (major Loptyr Holy Blood). Major Holy Blood also isn't a requisite to rule. Chagall had minor holy blood. Batu of Verdane had no holy blood.
As far as "canon" pairings go, it's of course hard to say. There are some in-game mechanics that give some nudging like conversation trees and whatnot. If children's classes match the parents, it would look something like: Edain x Midir Ayra x Chulainn Lachesis x Beowulf (which, FE5 seems to negate this, but Lachesis could have fled to Leonster after Beowulf's death at the Battle of Belhalla and had Nanna with Fin) Silvia x Claud Erinys x Lewyn Tailtiu x Azelle Brigid x Dew Meanwhile, in the second generation, you only have conversation trees to go off of, but it seems like Nanna x Leif is for sure, Larcei x Iuchar/Iucharba and Lene x Ares is also pretty set. Patty x Shanan and Fee x Arthur are less certain, categorized only by arriving together in game and some last-chapter conversations. Tine x Ced and Lana x Seliph/Ulster bring up the rear with just some last-chapter conversations.
Well those are their canon names according to TV Tropes and Fire Emblem Wiki, both of which kinda give a shit about making sure that's correct, and it'll be the names they use if a remake is ever made.
Honestly I feel like G.o.H.W is a bad game based off of a great book, movie, or T.V show etc. This game has one of my favorite video game stories of all time, but the game play is awful compared to some of the other F.E games. Hopefully if Nintendo does remaster this game like they did with Gaiden, they can work on making the game a little less tedious to play through 'cause it's really the only thing holding this game back from truly being the best FE game. Again love both the story and characters.
Agreed to some point. The balance of the game is atrocious. As for the story, I don't really like it much, until Seliph takes the torch that is, that's when the story goes uphill.
Agree, I loved the story but it took me months to finish the game because the long chapters and those turns that were just moving the units around felt tedious. I really hope we can get remake that solves the issues the game has.
@@DiogoJ1 While the balance is atrocious (lol Sigurd soloing the first gen) i liked it because it had sort of a sense in the story. Like it was purposely unbalanced
No Corple, no Leen! This is not the canon ending - you messed up your pairings. Please consider replaying the game with the canon pairings and record the ending sequence again. Consult the Fire Emblem Wikia or any suitable guide on gamefaqs for information on how to get the designated couples.

Bridget x Lex is actually pretty cool. It's almost comical to see Patty with rock-hard defense.
Came here after discovering that the playthrough of Genealogy of the holy war I was watching was incomplete. Thank you so much for this vídeo!
You are welcome.

Hm, I wonder.....
If Sety figured out that his dad was Holsety all the time? Just a thought, but I like to think it happened.
Dennis Kwan he did
this brings back me so many old memories from this game
Poor Tinni. She and her lover Dermott were separated. Maybe he went to Freege after things in Agustria quieted down.
Jugdrall is at peace, I'm pretty sure Tinni will have lots of opportunities to visit Dermott now and then.
Same with me, but with Ulster.
Yeah, except mine was tinni and seliph.
I lost my save file not long ago, so now I can finally see the ending. I am satisfied.

yes lets make the thing that named the series irrelevant cause logic
I went here after using the worse patch just to see the ending, lol
Joseph McLain There are like 100 different endings depending on pairings and deaths

my Lester inherited verdane cuz his father was Jamka and his mother was adean
But in every other playthrough no one cares about Verdane, because Jamke never had kids.
more like everyone wanted to give the loyal knight Midir his princess. And Holyn his Pirate Wench.
Jamke actually works really well with Ayra. His Critical Skill works with the Odo's bloodline's massive boost in skill.
I beat the game today, but it freezes at Verdane and all the epilogue dialogue was gibberish. This shall sate me till I find a solution.
You have the wrong patch. Or your Rom is broken. Maybe something like that.
Number13teen Yeah the old patch stops working there. To fix it unpatch the rom. Obviously you won't get to see it in English.

Do yourself a favor and get the Naga patch. They even translated it better. The story's easier to follow.

Oifey will do that just fine. As for Julia, she has no experience leading people while Seliph does, so he's the better potential ruler.

Azmur, Kurth, Deirdre, they all had Major Naga blood. Celice doesn't.

How did you make Ulster & Julia lovers?
By having him tank and have her heal him. Simple enough. Same for Seliph and Lana, but with less tanking involved.
But for what I know, Julia can't have love growths with anyone.
She always could always gain points with any male that isn't Seliph. Assuming that you didn't cheat so that she could support him.
Funny, every page I check about that says that she gains +0 points from every male (except Seliph)
That's odd. I'm pretty sure Julia can marry whatever male they want.
how did you get Julia and Ulster married
By placing them together. With that good DEF of his, Ultser is getting hurt as a tank and Julia does like easy experience as a healer.
Diogo Jorge k
when does Julia get kidnaped, I plan on hooking her up with Ares
By Chapter 10, right at the start. Make sure to promote her into Sage and marrying Ares before finishing Chapter 9.

I guess. Larcei should go unmarried or something in a future run.
